We could not be more grateful to all the staff at Westlands. My mother in law is a resident and her health increased massively since she lived at Westland. There is always entertainment going on and she is so well looked after. It was the best thing we could have done choosing Westland as we live overseas and we know she is safe and enjoys it there.
Looking forward to seeing you on your next visit.

Mum has been in residency for over 18 months. Her care has been exemplary over this period with staff showing great compassion and patience when interacting with her and other residents. There is always something going on in terms of activity and entertainment. I would recommend Westlands if you are looking in the area for care for a loved one.

In the year up to May 2026 the care and love given to my mother went above and beyond my expectations. The facilities especially the entertainment were just fantastic. My mother was constantly entertained and kept busy with visits, in-house performances and crafts. Although her memory was failing she was always engaged and busy. I am very pleased with our choice of care home as they made her her last year a joyful one.
Mum will as large part of our home, there is a big hole to fill in all of our hearts.
Take great care of each other and thank you for the memories.

Westlands Home gave the best level of care for Mum during the the year she lived there before passing away this May 2026. Right up to her final days the staff were always attentive to her needs and gave her everything and more to make living there a fun and happy place to be. She loved the entertainment and crafts, which Caroline gives with boundless energy - getting all staff involved makes for much laughter and happiness. The office staff are always on the ball with anything needed and we just felt confident with them all, knowing Mum was in the best place.
Mum will be forever in our thoughts too.

My brother-in-law was admitted very unwillingly with mental health problems and dementia leading to very difficult behaviour. The staff quickly got the measure of him and were careful not to be confrontational. Their kindness, patience, and understanding were exceptional. From being the only place that would have him we soon realised that it was the only place we wanted for him! Communication with the staff and the GP practice was sensitive and considerate right up to his death in the lovely room that was now his home. Thank you team for looking after him and his family and friends through such a difficult time.

My Mother was in Westlands and at the start it was rather a rocky road on a few occasions, once I had voiced my concerns and opinions management and I started to get a long. I am very protective of my Mother more so because she can no longer do it herself and if things don't feel right I'll say so . Thank you to everyone for doing your very best for my Mother. And I wish you all the best for the years ahead.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a privilege to care for your mother and to work together to achieve the best possible outcome.
My mother has been at Westlands for ten years and I cannot thank the entire team enough for the exceptional care and compassion they have shown to my mother. From the very beginning they have created a warm welcoming and safe environment where she feels truly valued and respected. The staff consistently go above and beyond, not only attending to her physical needs with professionalism and attentiveness, but also taking the time to build genuine relationships with her. It gives our family enormous peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by such kind patient and dedicated individuals every day. What stands out most is the level of dignity and personal attention given to each resident. My mother is treated as an individual with her preferred routines, and personality always taken into account. Communication with our family has been excellent we are kept informed, reassured, and always feel involved. The home itself is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained, contributing to a positive and uplifting atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be truly cared for with respect, kindness and genuine compassion.
Thank you so much for your truly amazing review, your mother is a dream to support and we look forward to all visits from you too MA.
Westlands is a great carehome. Its like one big family. All of the staff are very caring and all get involved in entertaining the residents. Excellent communication about any appointments, illness, requirements etc. My dad was in a different home for some months, it does not compare to Westlands. My mum especially loves the music acts and activities in the cafe. I'm so grateful for the care and love she's given, its feels like family to me. Its a really happy place for long term residents and those staying for respite etc. 100% reccomend it.
Thank you for the review Sam, simply amazing, recognising one and all. We are all so very pleased that you are happy with our care and support for mum and for recognising our friendly and homely home. We are really happy to support mum and we are thankful for your volunteering services too.
My husband has mixed dementia and he went into Westlands for respite while I was recovering from an operation. The minute you walk into the home you are made to feel welcome. The staff are so attentive, kind and caring. The home is very clean and while I was visiting my husband I witnessed that as soon as there was a spill or wet on the floor from people coming back in with wet shoes it was promptly cleared up. He is coming home tomorrow and I think I may have a problem getting him out, he so enjoyed his time there and I have no hesitation in rebooking him for more respite if and when I need it. Caroline the activity lady is a star, involving the residents with activities and also putting on entertainment with other members of staff. Which the residents really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this care home.
It was a real pleasure to support your husband and we are so very pleased that the operation was a success, you are both stars and we would welcome you both at any time. This is a wonderful review and we cannot thank you enough, we look forward to seeing you in the near future. In the meantime, don't be strangers, pop in for a coffee anytime. Helen
They are attentive to all my needs and do all they can to facilitate those needs.
I have complete freedom of movement and communication outside the home.
The accommodation is comfortable and clean and privacy is assured.
It is a pleasure living here.
Thank you for this review. Staff are more than happy to support you, here at Westlands, we are so pleased that you enjoy your freedom and living here too.
The minute you walk into Westlands, you feel it - the welcome, the cleanliness, the excellent care and friendliness of staff. It is very homely throughout with home-cooked meals and nicely decorated and furnished rooms that offer comfort and security to all who reside there. I've also been very impressed by the huge variety of entertainment and stimulation offered on a daily basis. Westlands is set in gorgeous countryside with a large garden to relax in and view nature. It is the perfect place to call "home".
This review is absolutely wonderful, thank you, Rosemary, kind regards
My mother-in-law lived at Westlands for nearly 4 years before she died in December and to say the care and attention she received was second to none is an understatement. Without exception all the staff and management were professional, extremely patient and very kind to her despite that her dementia did present them with some challenges. In my opinion they deserve a medal for what they do, as they provide a loving and comfortable environment for all the residents.
Lynn, this is wonderful, we will miss Mum greatly and the family too. Take great care of each other. Kind regards, Helen
My Dad has been at Westlands Care Home since March 2024. He has mixed dementia and has difficult mood swings where he becomes very agitated. The staff at Westlands know how to treat him and make sure he is safe. They are very patient with him, positive, professional and supportive and totally understand what his needs are. All the staff are friendly when we visit and you can see how caring they are. The home provides entertainment for the residents and activities to keep them busy if they want to join in. I would definitely recommend this Care Home.
Thank you so much Helen for this wonderful review. Dad is a pleasure and we are more than happy to support him with his changing needs.
Mum has been at Westlands for about 3 months and is now so much more settled than in her previous care home. Her dementia does present challenges but the manager and staff have dealt with this in the most professional and caring way and she is now far less agitated and and far more content. She told me the other day that the home was very nice. I can't thank the staff enough for the attention and care they have given her.
Westlands staff really thank you for this wonderful review, Andy. Mum is a pleasure and it is great to know that you have confidence in our care, it makes our roles that little bit easier.
My husband has been in this wonderful care home for 14 months now and has settled in very well with the help of the amazing staff, all staff, office and maintenance people. There are plenty of activities and entertainment plenty. It is a relatively small care home which has lovely outside space.
Your lovely words are amazing and all the staff thank you too, a wonderful review from you, hubby is a treat.
Had to place my dad here in an emergency, unfortunately, but all the staff have been very welcoming and friendly. It's a small care home with fields and trees surrounding it, which makes for a nice visit to take my dad outside as he loves, great entertainment on a regular basis and many activities.
The whole team are amazed at such a lovely review, thank you so much. Dad is a lovely to support, so happy and always smiling.
They deserve 10 star rating if it was such a thing.
This is amazing, thank you so much. Always a pleasure looking after Grandad.
My father has been at Westlands for nearly three years now and we couldn't be more happy with the level of care he's been given. He settled in straight away due to the kind and caring staff. In fact, the staff have hardly changed in the time he's been there, which goes to show what a great team they are and what a great place it is! It feels more like an all-inclusive hotel either food and entertainment around the clock! The manager and her team are truly amazing! Everyone from the office staff, kitchen staff and the laundry staff appear to know all the residents' names and genuinely care for them. It really is a great team and we've always been delighted with the level of care that our father has been given. I have even recommended a friend's mum to Westlands too, it's that lovely a place! Thank you for all you continue to do.
Thank you so much for your lovely words, we really do enjoy the company of your dad and supporting him as we love seeing you and the family.
