Staff are true carers showing genuine affection for my mother-in-law. There is a great atmosphere in the house with plenty of laughter, brilliant activities which they have managed to maintain through the pandemic. Outdoor space is important to my mother-in-law and she makes good use of the beautifully kept grounds. Food is a bit up and down but overall, delighted with the care provided.
Thank you for your wonderful review of Woodlands House. It's our pleasure to care for your mother-in-law and to know she loves being part of our fabulous family. We shall pass on your feedback about the food provided.
My partner was looked after and very well cared for. This home has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff being a very strong team makes it an efficient and happy environment for all. The activity team work hard to ensure that all the residents have a great variety of entertainment and stimulation, including outings and lots of time spent in the garden during the summer months. There is no better care home than Woodlands.
Thank you for your very kind words about Woodlands House, and thank you for having the trust and faith in us to care for your partner. We shall share your comments with all our team so they know how much you appreciate their care and compassion.
Happy overall.

The care Mum received at Woodlands House was of consistently high quality throughout and she enjoyed a very pleasant and stress-free last few years.
I am very grateful for the care and comfort provided to her by the staff of Woodlands House right up to her passing.

The staff at Woodlands are all very competent and kind. The home is beautifully decorated and maintained. There is always a lovely atmosphere and as a visitor, I always feel welcomed. I am very happy my mum has been able to live at Woodlands House.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments about Woodlands House. It is our pleasure to care for your mother. We shall pass on your thanks to the wonderful Woodlands team, who are looking after her.
My mother has now been at Woodlands for four years and in my opinion, the staff there are exceptional. They are caring, treat the residents with dignity, kindness and nothing is too much bother. My family and I are always welcomed so warmly by the staff as well, it truly is a home from home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Woodlands House. It is our pleasure to look after your mother and it's wonderful to hear you are so happy with the way we are caring for her. Our fabulous Woodlands team will be thrilled with your comments, which we shall share with them all.
Skype call to the wrong person. The wrong number dialled and my 92-year-old Mother simply left with the Ipad ringing. Called the home to request the call be stopped and redirected but the carer said 'it is not my job, you need to talk to someone else.' I explained the issue and asked her to sort it but she simply repeated herself. The end result is my Mother missing out on her weekly call. Issues with missed Skype calls are a common factor. The carers seem to be spread too thinly to be able to provide this simple link with the outside world. Continual issues with hearing aids and delays in sorting replacements leaving her unable to hear most of the time on Skype, in spite of continual requests for help.
We acknowledge your concerns although we had hoped we had resolved them all with our email exchanges previously. We are sorry this is not the case as we felt we had fully explained the situation, especially with regard to your mother’s hearing aid. We are disappointed that you felt you needed to...
Woodlands has been outstanding in helping my lovely Dad settle in his new environment. The level of care and individual professionalism has been truly wonderful. From the first day my Dad moved to Woodlands, the team has gone above and beyond our expectations in ensuring his individual needs and requirements were met. The whole team have shown extraordinary love and empathy and have gone above and beyond in their efforts to help Dad settle. A particular mention and thank you to three particular members of staff.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Woodlands House. We are absolutely delighted with all your positive comments about how we are looking after your lovely Dad. It is our pleasure to care for him and to ensure he feels part of our very happy Woodlands family. We shall share your review with all our terrific Woodlands team.
Next to being at my own home, this is the next best place to be. I am well cared for by many friendly carers.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Woodlands House. It is our pleasure to care for you and we are very glad you feel so at home with us.
During the pandemic, the home has kept me fully informed of all changes of procedure and been extremely accommodating throughout this difficult time. Staff have exceeded my expectations in their care and professionalism. My visits have been able to be regular whether it be in the garden, indoors or skype. Well done and keep up the excellent work.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Woodlands House. We are delighted to have been able to organise safe visits to see your loved one during this difficult time. We shall share your wonderful words with our Woodlands team so they all know how much you appreciate everything they are doing.
The staff and management at Woodlands have managed the COVID crisis wonderfully. Communication has been regular and clear and they have done everything possible to allow residents to still have visitors. The Facebook page has been a really great way to see all the fun and inspired activities that they have managed to run over lockdown. I feel so fortunate that my mother-in-law has been at Woodlands during this difficult period when so many people have had such negative experiences with other care homes. The staff are endlessly kind and friendly and it is heartwarming to see them enjoying activities with the residents. Could not recommend it highly enough.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Woodlands House. It has been a challenging time for all of us but we have ensured that all our residents have stayed cheerful and happy with all our activities, all of which you will continue to see on Facebook on the run-up to and during Christmas. It is...
My mum moved into Woodlands House in July this year. It was a very upsetting time for all our family, as we knew that we would not be able to see Mum every day as we had for months, due to Coronavirus. From the day we came to visit Woodlands to discuss Mum moving in, we knew it was the right place for her. Everyone has been so caring, friendly and supportive to us and any concerns we may have, the team are more than happy to discuss and reassure us that Mum is OK. Despite Covid restrictions, we are able to keep in contact with Mum via telephone calls, skype and one family member is allowed a conservatory visit once a week. I do admit this is very hard on the rest of the family, not being able to see Mum but we understand and appreciate that the residents' Health and Safety is paramount. We receive a weekly rota of all the activities the residents are doing which is fantastic.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Woodlands House. We do understand how upsetting it must have been for you all during this very difficult time, but we have always made it a priority to keep relatives regularly informed about and in touch with their loved ones. It is our pleasure to...
I'm so impressed with all the measures taken to keep Covid 19 out of Woodlands. They are so comprehensive.
I'm also grateful to the staff going to work each day and coping with all the problems lockdown must entail. Anxious, confused residents who are missing their families.
Thank you for frequent updates and reassurance and arranging video calls.
I think you have all gone more than the second mile at this very stressful time.
I'm looking forward to visiting again and saying thank you in person.
What a wonderful review of Woodlands House. Thank you so much for your kind words. It has been a very challenging time for all of us and we have done all we can to ensure all residents can speak to their loved ones through video calls. We look forward to welcoming you again to Woodlands once this current lockdown period is over.
Lovely care home. Going over and above board to help the family of residents. Lovely activities and staff are always so helpful and friendly even though they are so busy. Thank you to everyone at Woodlands. It's so nice to see Mum happy and content.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is our pleasure to look after your Mum and we shall pass on your thanks to all our wonderful Woodlands team.
My uncle is a permanent resident and has been in a care home since December 2019. Since the virus came to be, the care my uncle has received has been the tops. Getting updates on the care and the way the staff have been brilliant. I don't know all the carers names but thanks to the manager, his mains carers and all the others.
Thank you so much for your fantastic review. It has been a difficult time for us all but we are so glad you are happy with the way in which we have been keeping you informed about your uncle. We shall pass on your thanks to all our wonderful Woodlands team.
We chose Woodlands House for its homely and relaxed presentation and for its reputation for high-quality care. It has lived up to that expectation and Mum often says that the staff couldn't be kinder. We feel that she is in safe hands and well cared for which is invaluable to us.
Thank you so much for your review. It is a pleasure to care for your Mum and our team will be delighted about your comments about the way in which we are looking after her. However, we would be interested to know in what ways you think we could improve our facilities and rooms. Please do contact us directly if you have any suggestions.
I stayed here for respite and now live here. I like the company and the room. The staff are wonderful.
What a wonderful review of Woodlands. It is our pleasure to look after you and we are delighted you are so happy with the care, comfort and companionship you are enjoying with us.
Everything perfect and couldn't be more pleasant. All the carers are excellent.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about Woodlands House. We shall let our wonderful Woodlands team know how much you appreciate the way in which they are caring for you.

Meet the Team (2)

During my time working in the care sector, I have undergone a variety of courses to widen my knowledge, including my NVQ level 5 in leadership and management.
I aim to ensure all residents enjoy their time whilst living in our care homes, and that their relatives feel comfortable and welcome to visit their loved ones. I endeavour to help my staff to feel empowered and supported; to build on their experiences and to learn to think outside of the box.
I pride myself on leading by example and going the extra mile to ensure the residents' needs are always put first.
In my spare time, I like to support my local community and volunteer for the local food bank.
I look forward to getting to know you all and working with you to bring life and laughter to your loved one’s next chapter in their lives.

Since joining the Woodlands House team, I’ve had a wonderful experience connecting with both residents and staff. I’ve felt very welcome and supported, and I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know everyone.
I am excited to work with the manager, Katie, and the rest of the team to ensure that all the residents at Woodlands House feel safe, valued, and well cared for. I am already witnessing the fantastic care provided by the team and look forward to supporting Katie in ensuring that the residents and their families continue to receive the highest standard of care throughout their stay with us.
