Woodlands House is a truly elegant residential home set in its own extensive grounds and beautifully landscaped gardens, located in the rural village of Woodlands which nestles in the peace and tranquillity of the New Forest. The home has been sympathetically extended, retaining all of its original features to provide a safe, appealing and comfortable home for its residents.

The fully trained, compassionate and caring team has created an exceptional residential care home, who ensure residents are not only safe and well cared for, but are also happy and contented. With a full schedule of activities, entertainment and outings to cater to everyone’s taste, residents can live their lives as independently and positively as possible.

Woodlands House is steeped in period charm, yet filled with modern facilities and a warm and compassionate environment. The secluded grounds and easy access gardens provide great scope for numerous enjoyable activities or a space where residents can sit, relax and watch the world go by. Each of the 38 en-suite bedrooms is generously proportioned, newly decorated and fully furnished, complete with a flat-screen digital TV, telephone point and 24-hour call bell. The grand hallway, spacious lounge, relaxing library and bright dining room provide a variety of communal spaces to create the perfect family home.

Residents also benefit from inclusive homemade meals, inclusive laundry service and video calling to stay in touch with friends and family.

Woodlands House holds Beacon status, the highest award in the 'National Gold Standard Framework' for End of Life care.

My mother-in-law has a lovely room in a home that is beautifully decorated and kept very clean. The staff are wonderfully caring and there are plenty of activities to participate in should she choose to do so. The large gardens are beautifully kept. The staff are always helpful and welcoming and nothing
is too much trouble. We have regular relatives meetings and can discuss any issue. We have got to know other residents and their families creating a great family atmosphere. We are very pleased with our choice of care home for Mum.

I couldn't wish for my mother to be anywhere but Woodlands House. It has given her a new lease of life. The staff are friendly and caring and take a genuine interest in her. She never fails to tell me how happy she is here. Thye range of activities on offer is amazing, and although my mother felt activities
weren't for her, she joined in with various things and enjoyed herself. She loves the sing-a-longs with the entertainers. The food here is great too, according to Mum.

Always a pleasure to go to the home. Lovely welcoming feel to the place and smiling faces on staff. Mother always feels safe and well cared for and I am confident she is well looked after. Food excellent. Home is spotlessly clean.

Woodlands has a lovely, homely feel as soon as you walk through the door. Staff are friendly and welcoming, happy to help in any way they can. My mother-in-law is very happy and feels safe and well looked after. She enjoys the activities (knitting, sewing, bingo etc). Truthfully I can't fault them in
any way - all staff are what makes the home, clean, war and friendly!

Warm welcome as always. Accompanied to hair salon for friend to have her hair done, great service. Always free to make a cup of tea or often have one served to you. Keep fit class in progress. What an amazing place, and as a family, we remain so pleased that Mother has somewhere friendly, safe and secure to live and the staff here are all so committed to help and care.
There is always a cheery smile and a helpful hand to assist with the resident's needs - some of which may be somewhat challenging.
The activities and variety of things are exceptional, even with time made to organise a Christmas Pantomime with residents/staff taking part. Brilliant.
As a family, we are kept up to date of what we need to know and we hope Mother has many more years to enjoy here.

Mum chose Woodlands three years ago when first diagnosed with dementia and we visited places for "the future". She said she felt at home, and boy, that has transpired to be so true. All the staff are kind - Mum says they are thoughtful and I don't have to worry about her at all. The banter is great
with the residents, the food excellent and it really is a 'home from home'.

Woodlands House is always welcoming and mum loves to call it home. Staff are cheerful, kind and caring and tend to the needs of residents with the greatest of respect. There are plenty of activities to keep residents entertained on a daily basis, with ongoing projects and 'shows' for family and friends
to share. I'm hoping and looking forward to many happy years of residence for Mum. I have already recommended Woodlands House to friends and colleagues.

Always found the staff very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When I was staying here after my operation, I was very well cared for during that particular week and my room very spacious and well laid out, overlooking the beautiful garden. Meals were plentiful and good, and a great
atmosphere all around.

I couldn't recommend this home more highly. The management and staff are very committed and treated my mother with the utmost care and dignity.
Sadly my mother has now passed away. I couldn't have asked for more in terms of her end of life care.

Mum was at Woodlands for almost three years and it became my second home. Woodlands has a lovely family atmosphere and it is really one big happy family living under one roof. Mum had a beautiful bedroom, however, she liked to spend the daytime in the lounge or hall having fun and social time with fellow
residents and staff. The staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate and they treat the residents with great dignity. I knew Mum was very well looked after. I was so fortunate that my Mum forged new friendships and had fun and had a very happy time in her final years. All thanks to Woodlands you are amazing thank you so much.

Woodlands is a jewel set in beautiful grounds. The place has a wonderful buzz about it. The residents are happy and smiling due to an amazing timetable of activities, tasty food served in a cheerful dining room and most importantly, caring and dedicated staff. My mother has a beautiful character room
which is large enough to fit most of her favourite pieces of furniture and pictures making it a home from home.

Mum has been a resident here for over a year. The staff are always helpful, attentive and friendly and there is a lovely homely atmosphere, with an ingenious variety of activities. Everyone is treated with respect and as an individual. Communication is excellent and it is such a relief to know she
is so well cared for. Woodlands House is very spacious with beautiful grounds, it’s always very clean and smells lovely, and the indoor temperature always comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Nan has been a resident for just over six months now. In that time we have seen Nans health flourish. She arrived in a wheelchair due to persistent falls, wasn’t eating and not in good health. Since being at Woodlands she is now able to walk, participate in activities, eat three proper meals a day and
in summary we have our Nan back!


Woodlands have enabled Nan to continue to live an independent life but be on hand to support the parts of her health and well-being that she is unable to fully do on her own.


They do this with care, understanding, amazing tolerance and patience.


They are always striving to be better and always go that extra mile to ensure all their residents are happy, safe and enjoying their lives.

Hi, my name is Katie and I have had the privilege of working in a variety of care settings for the past 16 years. For 11 of these wonderful years, I have been working for the fantastically supportive company - Hartford Care. Our amazing staff work tirelessly to ensure our residents get the very best care they deserve, ensuring everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

During my time working in the care sector, I have undergone a variety of courses to widen my knowledge, including my NVQ level 5 in leadership and management.

I aim to ensure all residents enjoy their time whilst living in our care homes, and that their relatives feel comfortable and welcome to visit their loved ones. I endeavour to help my staff to feel empowered and supported; to build on their experiences and to learn to think outside of the box.


I pride myself on leading by example and going the extra mile to ensure the residents' needs are always put first.


In my spare time, I like to support my local community and volunteer for the local food bank.


I look forward to getting to know you all and working with you to bring life and laughter to your loved one’s next chapter in their lives.
