My Dad has been at Ashlyns for 4 months now. Its a lovely home, full of lovely people. All on one level with lovely gardens and a courtyard, which is great for mobility. Plenty of lounges to relax and host visitors. The rooms vary in size but are all clean and bright. Nice bright bathroon, kept very clean. Plenty of entetainment to keep residents stimulated and happy. Trips out of the home too. All care staff ive encountered have been friendly and engaging. Im happy that my Dad is happy and has help at hand if required.
Thank you for your lovely review we are delighted that your Dad has settled into his new way of life. It is wonderful to see how is socialising so well with other residents and making new friends. The entertainment we know how much your Dad enjoys this especially the brass band last week and joining in with the staff with the dance moves, great moments.
and dementia but they do a difficult job seamlessly!
The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful especially Gemma from "Activities " who helps us keep in touch from afar with prearranged video calls calls.
Ashlyns is set in beautiful surroundings and is very well maintained and the lovely lady at reception always greets us with a smile and a chat.
Thank you to all the staff who care for our loved ones when we can't
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a wonderful knowing you feel reassured that your loved one is being cared for and still has the access to contact loved ones no matter how far away they are.
Nothing but care consideration help and friendlyness from staff at ever level from the time mother in law moved in.
Facilities at every level are second to none
Grounds and maintenance team all so helpful
Thank you for your lovely review. It is great that you have returned 20 years later with another one of your family members and still recognising some of the team. We are so pleased your mother in law is gaining strength and enjoying our activities.
There is also an extensive activities programme. Mum enjoys the musical entertainment and it is lovely to be able to attend with her.
From the moment mum moved in (initally on respite) we have been so impressed with the level of care and attention to detail. We cannot praise staff enough for all their kindness, patience and respect of her privacy and dignity. We feel very thankful to have been able to obtain a place for mum just at the pount she needed it.
Thank you for this wonderful review. We are delighted that your mum made the decision to make Ashlyns her permanent home. We do try and cater for everyone's needs from yoga to singers and wellbeing classes. We are very grateful for the time to complete a review I will feedback to the team.
My father has been at Ashlyn's care home for 6 weeks now. I can honestly say that the whole experience and for both my father and I, has been excellent. I would draw particular attention to the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and their civility, kindness and friendliness is particularly noticeable. Overall the home is incredibly clean, efficient and indeed almost homely. If anything and I mean this is a complementary way, it feels more like a very good hotel for the senior members of society! I would have absolute no hesitation in recommending Ashlyn's. Top marks!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Your father has settled in very well and making himself at home. We do endeavour to make our home very homely and to enable everyone to fee comfortable when they visit.
Dad is now the longest resident at Ashlyn's and I couldn't be more delighted that he is living his life so fully in the willows with the care and love and support of the amazingly professional compassionate team and the delicious food and the fantastic activities to help keep him connected.
I am a friend of a lady who is in this home. She has Parkinson's and went into the home two years who, firstly as a resident and now due to her health deteriorating, she is now in the Dementia wards. When I visit her weekly, I find her as well as expected. Being confused, she is not really aware of what is going on. The staff seem pleasant and helpful especially the lady in the from reception desk, she does the beginning of the week, always helpful and happy.
We are pleased you are welcomed when you visit your friend. Thank you for your review.
Mum moved to Ashlyns at the start of 2025 initially for respite care and soon became permanent. This was an uncertain time for us but all the staff were friendly, reassuring and welcoming. Mum settled in quickly and her health improved at the same time. Having been somewhat isolated at home, Mum now engages in the many and varied activities provided and has made friends with other residents. She regularly comments on how lovely and helpful the staff are and this experience is shared by myself and my wife whenever we visit. She enjoys the food too! The home provides a calming but cheerful and friendly environment, enhanced by the beautiful gardens and conservatory. It is comforting knowing that Mum is safe, well looked after and contented. Thanks to all the staff and management at Ashlyns.
Thank you for your lovely review and we can appreciate what a life changing decision moving into care is and the anxiety it can give. We are so pleased you have found that it has worked out for the best and your Mum is having a lovely time with all the activities and social aspect of living at Ashlyns.
Both of my parents needed extra support over the last few years and Ashlyns was the top of my list for where to place them. It lived up to all my expectations. The staff are all amazing.. there is always a smile and lots of support, most importantly when things are hard. The care given is second to none and especially as my parents were deteriorating, the dignity and dedication that was provided I will never forget. It's a lovely environment too, very clean and light with lovely grounds where you can take a walk. And most importantly for those with mobility issues all on one level. I cannot recommend Ashlyns enough. A lot of effort is made with the food, being home cooked wherever possible and mum and dad enjoyed their meals. And there is an extensive biscuit tray!! Having to place your parents in a care home is hard enough but when you have the immense support of a lovely team of people it makes it so much easier to bare. Thank you to the managers and the all the team.
Thank you for the lovely review it such a privilege caring for your parents and your kind words make it all the more rewarding.
I have felt very supported by the care given to my sister. The staff are very patient with her and take into account her worries and concerns. In particular, when she has been attended to by the dentist and a district nurse, they have demonstrated compassion and care. I am very grateful to all concerned.
Thank you for your positive review. It has been a pleasure supporting your sister in settling into her life at Ashlyns.
My parents are residents of Ashlyns Care Home, and the care they receive is kind, professional, and compassionate. The fact that there are many longstanding staff members contributes to the positive atmosphere and residents' knowledge. The rooms and facilities are attractive and well maintained.
When visiting my sister at Ashlyns Care home I have found that all the carers and staff to be very helpful and approachable. The residents appear to be well looked after and their surroundings are lovely.
Thank you for your very positive review. It means a lot to know that you have taken the time to praise the home.
I am very impressed with Ashlyns Care Home. All the staff are friendly and approachable. Mum is well looked after and the facilities offered are excellent. The carers have adapted well to her changing needs. She is settled and happy in her new home.
Thank you for the great review we are really pleased that your mum has settled in well and her room is lovely in the way that it has been personalised and with a view of the garden.
My mother has been a resident of Ashlyns Care Home for over a year now. The whole family has been so impressed with the care given to my mum over this period. The carers have been like an extended family to my mum and she enjoys all her chats with them. The fact that a lot of the carers and admin staff have been working at Ashlyns for many years and that it is not full of agency workers also adds to the positive experience. The food is very good and my mum especially enjoys the breakfasts. Her room is lovely and she has made it into a home from home with all her artwork and furniture. There are many activities planned for the week and my mum enjoys attending some of these. We are so grateful to all the staff for their hard work especially as we live a distance away from the home and cannot visit on a regular basis. We would certainly recommend Ashlyns Care Home to anyone else who has an elderly parents needing to go into a care home.
Thank you for the lovely review and your mother has transformed her room with the wonderful artwork. Really pleased that you have comfort in knowing that your mother is enjoying her life with us, it is always more difficult for family that live further away.
Mum is very happy in the home and regularly mentions how much she likes the staff. More importantly, her health is improving since she came here over 2 years ago. The staff are excellent!
Thank you for your positive review and your kind words, it has been wonderful observing the positive change with your Mum and how she is thriving.
I've noticed a significant improvement in both her mental and physical health and it's heartwarming to see her smile so much these days. We're truly grateful for the care and support she's receiving.
Thank you for your lovely review and your kind words, it is an absolute pleasure welcoming her to our home and supporting her activities and daily living in a way that has made such a difference to her life and that you have noticed such a difference.
I have had many friends who have had to move into care homes but I will always recommend Ashlyn's as I feel they go above and beyond to help the residents adjust to their new surroundings and routines and make it feel like home.
Thank you for your lovely review it is great to know that our hard work in making sure we prepare well before our residents come into our home is recognised.
Just a short note to say what a lovely afternoon I had with my mother in the Willows. The lady was doing a simple art activity around the table and the atmosphere was so warm. Lovely chat, music playing and cups of tea. Everyone happy and included.
We are really pleased that you had a lovely afternoon with your mother and that you appreciated the atmosphere and the activity. I have passed your review on to the team and the activity lead who was working on that particular day.
My father has been living at Ashlyns Care Home for eight months. I have been impressed from the beginning with every aspect of the care home and the attention my father has received has been exemplary. Staff are very welcoming, kind and caring and really take time to get to know the residents. Any queries I have had have been dealt with quickly, I see the staff going out of their way to help residents and their families, the activities are varied and very well run by a super cheerful team, residents can take day trips out to local events and there is plenty of laughter and good humour. My father is thriving.
Thank you for such a wonderful review and kind words your father is certainly thriving and it is good to know that you appreciate our wonderful team.
Very welcoming person on the front desk. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Care staff are friendly and approachable. Lots of activities organised for residents, not sure how all-inclusive they are for residents who lose track of time or not sure where to go. Have sampled some meals, eating with Mum in the conservatory table laid and very good service of food. The room is very small but looks onto the courtyard. Ensuite is tiny and have had to ask for it to be cleaned on several occasions. Garden areas are nice to sit out in.
Thank you for your review and I am sorry you have had to ask for the ensuite to be cleaned. We unfortunately cannot alter the size of our ensuites. It has been great to see the improvement in your relative's health and wellbeing since they arrived. Our residents are asked daily about the activities on offer and if needing support will be taken to the activity.
