The residents all seem to be really happy here and we love to visit and join in the activities and walk around the lovely gardens. I'm so sorry I missed the opera singer today but everyone said what a fantastic afternoon it was.

A wonderful afternoon with our friend (resident) to an amazing opera singer. Lovely selection of songs. Followed by a cream tea made by your very talented chef/pastry chef. Preceded by a lovely walk around the lake to see a moorhen with her five babies.

I really memorable experience after having respite care after a heart attack and an awful time in A&E and hospital wards etc. Very frightening time at age 83. I will keep in touch with a wonderful, caring team, nothing too much trouble. The love and care shown helped more than any medication and the support my daughter who had to cope with me alone. Many thanks, unforgettable time.

My 95 year old mother spent the last two years of her life in Cooperscroft. She was only ever met with kindness and compassion. As a family we too felt held at all times. The surroundings, the food, the gardens and the general atmosphere made it feel like a friendly hotel rather than a nursing home. All mum's visitors ageing from of6months to nearly 70 felt welcomed at all times. Although mum was completely bedbound, due to the scrupulous attention of the staff, there were no bed sores. It was a comfort to know the home could access GP advice whenever necessary and that the experienced nurses knew so much about ageing and dying. To stay in a room filled with flowers, her own books and familiar furniture, overlooking the garden was a blessing for mum. Mum was an introvert refusing offers of wheelchairs and attempts to involve her in wider aspects of home life. The activities team tried hard, even planting sunflower seeds with her in the room. Thank you Cooperscroft we won't forget you.

Our experience has been amazing. All the staff have been welcoming, attentive to my mother in law and just kind and warm. Brilliant. I never thought such a place existed. From the minute I arrived looking apprehensive I was welcomed by smiling faces. Care, courtesy and kindness are second nature here. My room was spacious light and bright. My compact bathroom contained everything necessary. The large window looked out over a beautifully landscaped garden with ducks swimming on the pond. A weekly menu arrived on Saturdays followed by a menu for subsequent weeks. A weekly menu covering a range of activities is offered. All of my laundry was done after my clothes had been named which was out of sight. Totally recommended with a gold star 10 out of 10.

Subin VeettilJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2025

I have previously managed care homes in Surrey and London under TLC Care. Caring has always been at the heart of who I am, and I wanted to channel that passion into my professional life. After completing my Bachelor’s in Nursing in India (2007) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Management from West London College (2010), I began my UK career as a Senior Health Care Assistant while continuing my studies.

Driven by a strong interest in the public health sector, I completed my Master’s in Public Health from BEDS University in 2020.

Over the years, I progressed through a variety of leadership roles, including Unit Manager, Care Services Manager, Regional Care Support Manager, and Quality Improvement Manager for TLC Care. In 2021, I was appointed Home Manager at Camberley Manor Care Home in Surrey, before moving to Candlewood House Care Home in July 2022, and currently leading as Home Manager at Cooperscroft Care Home.

I am deeply passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting our elderly residents. It is a privilege to guide and inspire the team at Cooperscroft Care Home on its journey toward achieving an outstanding standard of care.

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in Nigeria, where the majority of my experience was in occupational health nursing. I later progressed to become a Public Health Nurse and am currently concluding a Master’s in International Public Health in the UK.

My UK journey began in a care home, where I worked as an adult nurse and developed strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of elderly care. After two years, I was promoted to Deputy Manager, gaining valuable experience in operations, leadership, and team development.

In 2025, I joined TLC Care as Practice Development Lead at Karuna Manor Care Home. Although my background wasn’t in education, I’ve always had a passion for teaching and supporting others. Between 2018 and 2022, I worked part-time as a Basic Life Support instructor in Nigeria, training healthcare professionals in CPR and resuscitation, a role that shaped my commitment to knowledge-sharing and confidence-building.

Now, as Care Services Manager at Cooperscroft Care Home, I lead with a focus on quality, compassion, and continuous improvement. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment for our team members, and to maintaining an outstanding home for our residents, guided by TLC’s values of Truth, Love, and Compassion.

I joined TLC Cooperscroft 3 years ago as the Maintenance Manager, bringing with me valuable experience from my previous role with a property developer.
