From the initial enquiry phone call to Dad's final day, the staff at Cooperscroft have exceeded all expectations.
Our Dad's final three weeks have been made more bearable by the outstanding level of care and genuine kindness every single member of the Cooperscroft team gave him. Moreover, they have
provided a level of support to us, the family, that I would normally only expect from friends and family. Thank you.

My mum was moved to Cooperscroft on 28th December 2023. The community development manager and all the management team have been fantastic from the moment Mum came through the door. We have been made to feel welcome and part of a family. The caring team have helped us with all medical appointments and
no question was silly! Moving my mum here was the best decision we made.

During my dad's stay, he has felt safe and secure and very well looked after like a family unit. I cannot fault Copperscroft for the care and attention that they have shown my dad. I'm absolutely blown away when visiting my Grandma. We had lunch together the other day, and to say it looked smashing is an understatement!
The staff are so attentive, kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. My grandma is so content and happy being in the home and the staff really do invest
so much time and energy into every resident especially when it comes to entertainment or arranging fun days which my grandma gets involved in.

Dad has settled in very quickly, with the staff being very patient as Dad doesn't communicate well. Dad has more colour in his cheeks and smiles. Where do I start? My dad has only been at Cooperscroft for just over a week and to say my brother and I were upset at the prospect of Dad being in a home is an understatement. It is the most wonderful warm welcoming place and the staff is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and Dad is settling
in well. The surroundings are beautiful but what makes a Cooperscroft is the warmth and support of the staff. Thank you so much to you all.

My mother moved into Cooperscroft Care Home when I was unable to care for her at home anymore. She was fiercely independent, drily witty with an abundance of character, which could be challenging on occasions. The staff at Cooperscroft cared for her with respect and dignity. If they hadn't, she would
have said! I had peace of mind knowing that she was being looked after by kind professionals. Unfortunately, Mum was not well enough to participate in the activities provided and so I cannot comment on those but I was always impressed by the cleanliness and atmosphere whenever I visited. I have no hesitation in recommending Cooperscroft and I would like to thank them for caring for my mother in the final months of her 101 years of life.

Cooperscroft care home has proved to be an excellent choice. From the friendly advice and help received arranging a placement, making what could have been a stressful process easy and relaxing. To the exceptional daily care and friendship given all of the staff couldn't be kinder. The rooms and the
meals are nicer than many hotels. I as a daily visitor am welcomed and looked after myself. In my opinion, I do not think you could find more friendly, dignified and genuine care.

My sister is as happy as can be under the circumstances. She was responsive and smiling. As I left she needed some personal care which was seen to immediately and with a smile from the carers. I am truly grateful for their care and treatment of my sister.

I can honestly say that from the first contact on the phone to the placement of Mum into the home I cannot fault Cooperscroft Care Home in any way. All of the staff are very friendly and treat Mum with the utmost respect and care. As a family, we are comforted to know that Mum is in a safe, happy environment

Any anxieties about moving to Cooperscroft Care Home melted away on day one. When I visit my husband each day he tells me "this is the best day ever". Staff are kind, attentive and always happy to chat and reassure. His personal care is excellent. Staff are supportive to the family too and nothing is
too much trouble. My husband could not be in better hands. Thank you! He cannot take part in activities but has all the attention he needs.

Cooperscroft is a very nice home, very clean and lovely rooms. Really nice, pleasant staff and carers. Good quality food for Mum. Lovely room, lounge and gardens. In all, a wonderful place for Mum to be cared for by wonderful people.

I did a lot of research into care homes catering for Parkinson's and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Wonderful location with a tranquil garden and lovely views. All the staff and management team are genuinely lovely, kind and caring. Certainly not the cheapest, but worth going that little
bit further on cost for peace of mind. I only wish Mum could have enjoyed a longer stay. Thank you to the whole team.

Job Title: Business Development Manager Joined: 2013

I have worked at Cooperscroft Care Home for 12 years, gaining experience across several departments. This has given me a strong understanding of what makes Cooperscroft such an exceptional place to live and work.

With 26 years of experience in the care sector, I began my career as a care assistant, where I developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges our residents face. I went on to become a Team Leader, then an Admin Assistant, before moving into my current role as Business Development Manager.

My time at Cooperscroft has shown me the importance of teamwork, compassion and consistency in delivering high-quality care. I graduated in 1994 from South Africa with Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery and Community and Psychiatry. I then worked as a midwife and community nurse up until 2002 before moving to the UK. I have worked as a Care Service Manager, Senior Nurse and Clinical Nurse across other care homes and in February 2022 I joined Cooperscroft as the Care Services Manager. The role is very rewarding and I learn something new every day to make sure our resident’s care reaches the highest standards.

Kathlyn Raguro

I am Kathlyn Raguro, holding a double degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the Philippines. My 10-year journey has been marked by a series of elevations through the levels of ultra-luxury hotels, including the esteemed Shangri-la Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, One and Only Hotels and Resorts by Kerzner, and recently - Qasr al Sarab Luxury Desert Resort by Anantara.


Starting as a Guest Relations Officer, I swiftly ascended to supervisory roles, eventually becoming an Assistant Guest Relations Manager, and most recently, a Guest Experience Manager at Anantara Luxury Resort. I have always held integrity and passion as my guiding principles. These values have been the cornerstone of my success and personal growth within the industry.


As I step into the role of Hotel Services Manager at CoopersCroft, I am eager to lead our team towards unparalleled success, ensuring that the exemplary service CoopersCroft is renowned for is not just maintained, but elevated to new heights. I completed my HND in Business Management in the UK. Also, I have completed a Software engineering Diploma and Finance & Business Administration Diploma in Sri Lanka.


I have worked across a number of industries in various roles. I started my carrier as a Business Development Manager at one of the Prestigious multinational companies in Sri Lanka.


Since I moved to the UK I have worked as a Team Leader and as an IT consultant for Thames Water PLC.


I joined Cooperscroft as an Admin Assistant and then was promoted to HR & Finance Manager.


It’s a completely new venture for me and I do learn the real values of Truth, Love, and Compassion each day at work.
