I have been extremely impressed with the care given to my friend each and every day - from the carers to the office staff. The outings the residents are taken out to are greatly appreciated. I recently joined my friend, plus others, on a wonderful canal trip with fish and chip lunch provided. Once again,
I was privileged to watch the caring staff working so tirelessly all day.

When my husband's dementia became impossible for me to care for him at home I started looking for care homes. Between my good friend and myself, we visited 26 homes in Hertfordshire. When we saw Cooperscroft we knew this one was the best! It is! My husband very happy and extremely well cared for, marvellous
room, garden and food. You have to visit Cooperscroft.

The thought of moving from her home of many years was a daunting prospect for my mother. However thanks to the team at Cooperscroft she has settled into her new home.


Cooperscroft is recently built and spotlessly clean with several bright and cheerful sitting areas. The gardens are lovely, with

trees, paths and a pond, and they provide somewhere peaceful to sit in the summer. The meals are extensive, tasty and well prepared, with a dining room on each floor.


My family and I have been impressed by the daily activities and events, in particular, the wonderful Hawaiian themed summer party which took place in the gardens. There was top class professional musical entertainment and lovely food cooked for us all.


Cooperscroft is a happy place, with friendly and caring staff, and I am very pleased that my mother is there.

Since my husband has been a resident in Cooperscroft he has been treated with the best of care. Everywhere is kept very clean and the staff are efficient and friendly. I especially like that he is included in social events and that everyone seems to have time to help him and talk to him. The food is
excellent and he is eating well now and gaining weight. It’s nice that I am also invited to be included in lots of social events.
The nursing staff are also very approachable and ask me if I am happy with the care my husband is given and keep me informed regarding his medication and visits by his GP.

I came here after being seriously ill in hospital. I could only walk 2 or 3 steps with the help of a nurse, otherwise, I was in a wheelchair. I have received the nursing care and above all, great kindness all the time I have been here. Tomorrow I go home, able to walk and so very much better than when
I came here and that I feel confident about the future. I am very grateful to everyone at Cooperscroft.

The family have found Cooperscroft outstanding. The quality of care given to my wife's father has been exemplary. The home sets and meets very high standards in cleanliness, organisation, management and administration, nursing care and friendliness. It meets a very good balance between a high-quality
environment (room, dining room, lounge, gardens) and a homely and friendly atmosphere. This is entirely down to the quality of staff at every level and in every part of the Home.

I found the care for my sister all I would have expected. All her requirements were dealt with, as were any queries I raised. Her room was very comfortable and bright and the laundry service, cleaning and programmes for the week all very good.

My dad has been in Cooperscroft for one month. His dementia is quite advanced but he is fully mobile. He is a particularly strong individual and the staff are very patient.


The facilities make it a joy to visit and although he did not fully participate, the staff went out of their way to make his

91st birthday a day to remember for all of us, his extended family.

The staff are really wonderful at Cooperscroft.
Very caring and they made my dad's stay there comfortable.
They have lots going on and everyone is encouraged to join in but if they want to be left alone they understand that too.
Food is wonderful and the rooms are top notch.
Every time I visited
everyone smiled and said hello to me which I could tell was genuine.

My mum has been in Cooperscroft for over 3 years. She always looks well cared for. Her room is always clean and tidy. The events are very good and they have recently started a 'Breakfast Club' for relatives to join in. They made it really special, lovely food, and a little quiz for everyone to join
in. Well done to all staff.

My wife has been a resident at this home for 22 months. I visit her at least 4 times a week, and found very little wrong with the overall standard. Staff, from management to the lowest employee are very attentive and pleasant at all times.


Medical care, food, laundry, security and accommodation are

all excellent.


Activities and care need a special mention - very good.

I have found the staff to be very caring and the home has a cheerful, positive feel. There are plenty of activities arranged for the residents and this year more outings - to the seaside and other places of interest. Relatives are kept up to date through quarterly meetings. I would have no problem in

My dad has been here since May 2016. We were all nervous at how he'd settle in but the staff are all friendly and work hard to create a family atmosphere. The gardens are wonderful and there are regular events, the most recent being a Chinese New Year celebration with lovely food and lots of families
attending. I cannot find anything I would want to change.

Staff are very kind and helpful and meet all my husband's nursing care. It's a very happy atmosphere and choice of food is excellent. We enjoyed a valentine's party recently and they have many social activities. We are looking forward to some good weather so BBQ's can take place as they have a lovely

I have previously managed care homes in Surrey and London under TLC Care. Caring has always been at the heart of who I am, and I wanted to channel that passion into my professional life. After completing my Bachelor’s in Nursing in India (2007) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Management from West London College (2010), I began my UK career as a Senior Health Care Assistant while continuing my studies.


Driven by a strong interest in the public health sector, I completed my Master’s in Public Health from BEDS University in 2020.


Over the years, I progressed through a variety of leadership roles, including Unit Manager, Care Services Manager, Regional Care Support Manager, and Quality Improvement Manager for TLC Care. In 2021, I was appointed Home Manager at Camberley Manor Care Home in Surrey, before moving to Candlewood House Care Home in July 2022, and currently leading as Home Manager at Cooperscroft Care Home.


I am deeply passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting our elderly residents. It is a privilege to guide and inspire the team at Cooperscroft Care Home on its journey toward achieving an outstanding standard of care.

I am Kathlyn Raguro, holding a double degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the Philippines. My 10-year journey has been marked by a series of elevations through the levels of ultra-luxury hotels, including the esteemed Shangri-la Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, One and Only Hotels and Resorts by Kerzner, and recently - Qasr al Sarab Luxury Desert Resort by Anantara.


Starting as a Guest Relations Officer, I swiftly ascended to supervisory roles, eventually becoming an Assistant Guest Relations Manager, and most recently, a Guest Experience Manager at Anantara Luxury Resort. I have always held integrity and passion as my guiding principles. These values have been the cornerstone of my success and personal growth within the industry.

I have worked at Cooperscroft Care Home for 12 years, gaining experience across several departments. This has given me a strong understanding of what makes Cooperscroft such an exceptional place to live and work.

With 26 years of experience in the care sector, I began my career as a care assistant, where I developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges our residents face. I went on to become a Team Leader, then an Admin Assistant, before moving into my current role as Business Development Manager.

Oshi Dissanayake

Job Title: Finance and HR Manager Joined: 2023

I completed my HND in Business Management in the UK. Also, I have completed a Software engineering Diploma and Finance & Business Administration Diploma in Sri Lanka.


I have worked across a number of industries in various roles. I started my carrier as a Business Development Manager at one of the Prestigious multinational companies in Sri Lanka.


Since I moved to the UK I have worked as a Team Leader and as an IT consultant for Thames Water PLC.


I joined Cooperscroft as an Admin Assistant and then was promoted to HR & Finance Manager.


It’s a completely new venture for me and I do learn the real values of Truth, Love, and Compassion each day at work.

Sam Brett

Job Title: Practice Development Lead Joined: 2025

I graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2014 in Australia and began my career in respiratory nursing. I later transitioned to work as a sister in an Adult & Pediatric A&E. In 2019, I ventured into nursing education, teaching at various universities and providing training for staff on the Coronary Care Unit. During the COVID pandemic, I completed a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing to further enhance my skills. After moving to the UK, I worked with a private training company, where I taught a variety of courses, including Basic, Immediate, Pediatric and Advanced Life Support, Anaphylaxis, Tracheotomy Management, and Moving & Handling. In January 2025, I joined TLC to continue my passion for nursing education and training.

Caleb

Caleb Ihuoma

Job Title: Care Service Manager Joined: 2025

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in Nigeria, where the majority of my experience was in occupational health nursing. I later progressed to become a Public Health Nurse and am currently concluding a Master’s in International Public Health in the UK.

My UK journey began in a care home, where I worked as an adult nurse and developed strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of elderly care. After two years, I was promoted to Deputy Manager, gaining valuable experience in operations, leadership, and team development.

In 2025, I joined TLC Care as Practice Development Lead at Karuna Manor Care Home. Although my background wasn’t in education, I’ve always had a passion for teaching and supporting others. Between 2018 and 2022, I worked part-time as a Basic Life Support instructor in Nigeria, training healthcare professionals in CPR and resuscitation, a role that shaped my commitment to knowledge-sharing and confidence-building.

Now, as Care Services Manager at Cooperscroft Care Home, I lead with a focus on quality, compassion, and continuous improvement. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment for our team members, and to maintaining an outstanding home for our residents, guided by TLC’s values of Truth, Love, and Compassion.
