The journey to find my 93-year-old mum who has dementia and blind has been very difficult, but finally, I hope and believe. Cooperscroft Home have been very hands-on and approachable to discuss mums level of needs, she is now settling into an environment amongst similar residents with the help of all the support staff who work so hard to enhance the lives of people like my mum. There aren't any specific care home for blind people with other needs but I truly hope Cooperscroft can and will meet her on-going needs to give her a quality of life she deserves.

My husband, with dementia, spent 2 weeks for respite care at Cooperscroft. He was warmly welcomed and things were taken at his pace. He felt secure enough to let me go with no problems. I understand he took part in a number of activities and he was in a positive happy mood when I collected him. The staff were helpful and kind.

I can only compare our visit to food and compare it to another care home in the area.

The other home was a greasy spoon and Cooperscroft was a la carte.

My mother was a resident in Cooperscroft for a week following a fall.
Her care could not have been better.
We were all impressed by the friendly, family atmosphere created by all staff and every staff member we met smiled, introduced themselves and made Mum feel welcome.
The member of staff on reception went out of her way to support Mum when her dementia made her upset when we left.

I would highly recommend Cooperscroft.

I was very reluctant to come for convalescence following my hip replacement surgery. However, I needn't have worried as the overall care from day and night staff was excellent and was very beneficial to my immediate recovery. I would unreservedly recommend Cooperscroft to any family and friends who might need respite care.

Reluctantly I do feel I should point out the way the carers helped themselves to food, just with their hands, while serving the meals. This seemed so unprofessional.

My mother-in-law is a resident at the home for over 5 years and since she has been in the home. I find she is well looked after by very good staff if this was not the case she would not be as happy as she is. So I thank the staff and management for their wonderful care of my mother-in-law.

My mother came to the home after my father died. She was frail and poorly. The staff in the home made mum very welcome, looked after her and took very good care of her. She settled in and started to join and go on trips and she was very happy before she was taken from us after just 4 months at the home. The staff liked her and she liked the staff. The staff also made me feel comfortable when visiting as they were always friendly, caring and attentive.

You couldn't be in better hands. The care, compassion, love and helpfulness of all the staff has been amazing. We were all treated like family from the first visit. Nothing was too much for them to do. The homely rooms and areas, it was like being in a 4-star hotel only better. The garden area is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy. The food was always hot and tasty. You can be safe in the knowledge that your loved one will be very well cared for.

I have always viewed the care at Cooperscroft to a high extreme, but recently I was overwhelmed by the generosity of time and devotion given to my mother on her birthday. At the age of 91, she was made to feel so special with a gift, individual time and a personal cake. I was taken back with the amount of individual staff involved in making her day and particular, thank the chef and the catering staff for the spectacular birthday cake. The time and expertise that it took to produce such a beautiful cake were of no surprise as the food an dedication of the catering staff has always been beyond individual expectation. Thank you.

Our mum was a service user at Cooperscroft for the past 9 years and there was never a day when she was unhappy. The care she received from all the staff on Lavender Ward was compassionate, caring and above and beyond what we could have wished for. After a number of home care packages, we made the very difficult decision to entrust our mum into the care of Cooperscroft and they never let us or our mum down. We will always be grateful for their dedication and continued compassion and hard work. The laundry staff also worked so hard in making sure that the clothes were always washed and ironed to a very high standard, and making sure all her clothes were put away neatly in the dressing table.

I have been extremely impressed with the care given to my friend each and every day - from the carers to the office staff. The outings the residents are taken out to are greatly appreciated. When my husband's dementia became impossible for me to care for him at home I started looking for care homes. Between my good friend and myself, we visited 26 homes in Hertfordshire. The thought of moving from her home of many years was a daunting prospect for my mother. However thanks to the team at Cooperscroft she has settled into her new home.

Cooperscroft is recently built and spotlessly clean with several bright and cheerful sitting areas. The gardens are lovely, with trees, paths and a pond, and they provide somewhere peaceful to sit in the summer. The meals are extensive, tasty and well prepared, with a dining room on each floor.

My family and I have been impressed by the daily activities and events, in particular, the wonderful Hawaiian themed summer party which took place in the gardens. There was top class professional musical entertainment and lovely food cooked for us all.

Cooperscroft is a happy place, with friendly and caring staff, and I am very pleased that my mother is there.

I have previously managed care homes in Surrey and London under TLC Care. Caring has always been at the heart of who I am, and I wanted to channel that passion into my professional life. After completing my Bachelor’s in Nursing in India (2007) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Management from West London College (2010), I began my UK career as a Senior Health Care Assistant while continuing my studies.

Driven by a strong interest in the public health sector, I completed my Master’s in Public Health from BEDS University in 2020.

Over the years, I progressed through a variety of leadership roles, including Unit Manager, Care Services Manager, Regional Care Support Manager, and Quality Improvement Manager for TLC Care. In 2021, I was appointed Home Manager at Camberley Manor Care Home in Surrey, before moving to Candlewood House Care Home in July 2022, and currently leading as Home Manager at Cooperscroft Care Home.

I am deeply passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting our elderly residents. It is a privilege to guide and inspire the team at Cooperscroft Care Home on its journey toward achieving an outstanding standard of care.

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in Nigeria, where the majority of my experience was in occupational health nursing. I later progressed to become a Public Health Nurse and am currently concluding a Master’s in International Public Health in the UK.

My UK journey began in a care home, where I worked as an adult nurse and developed strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of elderly care. After two years, I was promoted to Deputy Manager, gaining valuable experience in operations, leadership, and team development.

In 2025, I joined TLC Care as Practice Development Lead at Karuna Manor Care Home. Although my background wasn’t in education, I’ve always had a passion for teaching and supporting others. Between 2018 and 2022, I worked part-time as a Basic Life Support instructor in Nigeria, training healthcare professionals in CPR and resuscitation, a role that shaped my commitment to knowledge-sharing and confidence-building.

Now, as Care Services Manager at Cooperscroft Care Home, I lead with a focus on quality, compassion, and continuous improvement. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment for our team members, and to maintaining an outstanding home for our residents, guided by TLC’s values of Truth, Love, and Compassion.

I joined TLC Cooperscroft 3 years ago as the Maintenance Manager, bringing with me valuable experience from my previous role with a property developer.
