My mum has been a resident at Blossoms Care Home since February 2021. When I first took Mum into care, I was understandably nervous about leaving her in a new environment. I very quickly felt reassured as I witnessed my mum being treated with genuine care, compassion and kindness by the team, who I
know love Mum. Thank you.

Mum's been there a while now. The staff are so kind, caring and loving to every single person who lives there who comes in to visit. Sorts your problems, if any, which I haven't found going there each week. The manager keeps us informed if anything changes, i.e. food and mum's health, etc. Credit to
you all, and thank you for being so caring.

My mum is a resident of the care home, she became resident in October 2022, the care staff within the home are excellent, they always treat Mum with the greatest respect. Laughing and joking with her. They do whatever is needed to give her the best possible care, keeping her busy with activities like
bird feeder making, playing darts, doing word searches and puzzles, painting stones for the garden, colouring pictures. She is very happy and well looked after. Every picture I see of her on their social media page is Mum smiling away, having her nails painted, wearing funny hats, or the weekly exercise group. They've had a couple of parties since she's been there too, a Christmas and one for the Coronation. The manager and her team of many carers are amazing, they are all approachable, give their time effortlessly, and most of all, they enjoy caring for the residents. Thank you to the manager and team at Blossoms Care Home
for everything you do for Mum, I know she appreciates it, you can see it in her face.

My husband has been a resident at Blossoms since January 2022. I chose the home because when I visited, the staff were very caring towards the residents and families. I have always found them to be so. When my husband has been poorly, they get help or call 999 very promptly and he has received the appropriate
treatment. All of the carers and staff put their residents' safety and care first. There are always activities going on during the day. My family and I are always made very welcome at any time of the day or night.

My mother entered Blossoms Care Home towards the end of 2021 and I was able to visit from overseas in June this year. I found all the staff I encountered on my daily visits over a ten-day period to be friendly and caring. Everyone appeared very knowledgeable of the individual residents and their needs
and preferences.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
