My mother stayed for respite care from 07/07/2022 to 23/09/2022. During her stay, my family have been extremely happy with the care and compassion shown by all the staff. Every member of staff was always helpful and cheerful.

I would like to thank the care and support of the team that looked after my dad in those final weeks/days.
It meant a lot to me and my brother.
I visited straight after work every day.
Dad was comfortable most of the time.
He was subbed and kept climbing out of bed because of confusion and the
dignity of not wanting to relax and have accidents.
You did treat this with the highest possible respect and dignity.
Dad loved the view he had of the gardener mowing the grass and the wildlife, giving the birds and squirrels a biscuit.

I was not sure that we were making the right decision at the beginning. But very soon realised that my wife was getting the best of care. She was comfortable and safe, cared for by a happy and caring group of professional staff. I myself was also treated kindly and professionally. Every one of your

At the height of the Covid pandemic, recently widowed, my mother was admitted (without our immediate knowledge) to Park View. Initially, no visit was permitted, then later, only with full PPE. This was understandably a bewildering and distressing time for her. In the subsequent seven months until her
death, her emotional and physical state turned around completely and she died very content and well cared for by members of the Park View community. The dedicated and delightful staff at Park View take every step possible to entertain and socialise the residents and we cannot thank them enough for what they did.

Mum was in the care of Park View for about a year following hospitalisation after a series of falls caused by an underlying condition.
The staff team were always caring and professional and understood mum's specific needs. She had access to the district nurse and a visiting GP as part of her continuing
care in addition to access to appointments with a chiropodist and hairdresser when she wanted to look and feel her best for herself or visitors.
Mum has recently moved to an alternative placement to be closer to friends and family, but I would like to thank all of the staff at Park View for their commitment to making mum's stay with them comfortable and caring.

The care and respect given to my mother during her 6-week stay was excellent. Staff were aware and very considerate towards mums care and needs. Excellent Covid precautions at every visit. Very grateful for the rehab mum had which has allowed her to return home.

From the moment my father was admitted, he received excellent care. He was treated with dignity and compassion. We felt the staff really wanted to look after him and us as a family. We would recommend this home to anyone in a similar position to our family.

My grandma had a very short time at Park View but the time she had was comfortable and caring. The staff were incredible, especially as they are having to cope with Covid restrictions, they were very supportive through my grandma’s end of life. A very sad time but made very comforting and dignified
by the staff there. I would not hesitate to recommend this home. Thank you.

My Mum has been a resident of Park View for almost two years and in that time, has been treated with the utmost respect, dignity and above all care. Especially in these recent uncertain times, she is very happy there and is always praising the quality of the food! Nothing is too much trouble for all

I have found it extremely difficult since March 17th when care home doors were closed to all visitors and of course this had to happen. Since then I have only been allowed to visit my husband on two occasions. My usual visit was every day, five hours at a time. But I know that he is being looked after
well and the staff are very kind. My husband has dementia, he cannot make conversation and he is deaf and it's been extremely difficult having to wear the mask. It would be better if I could just wear a shield.

My mum has been here for 7 months now and she feels at home. She is always clean and tidy. Whenever I ask her if she likes it here she smiles and nods her head (my mum has dementia). I'm very happy with the home, the staff re very caring and helpful.

On a visit to my husband, I was met by a happy, friendly nurse, given PPE and taken to the garden to see him. At the end of my visit, the same nurse was able to inform me how my husband was doing as he has dementia and other problems.
We chatted and it made my visit calm.

Our mum passed away recently after spending eight very happy years at Park View care centre. First in Cedar, then Oak and finally in Beech unit. The rooms are nicely decorated, complete with en-suite facilities. There are lounges, complete with armchairs and TV and dining rooms with table and chairs
in a restaurant-style, in each of the four units. Both areas are used for entertainment, using outside artists. The activities team keep residents entertained every day of the week. We have been extremely happy with Mum's care from every point of view. The welcome we received each time we visited was always very friendly indeed. The care staff were very kind and courteous to our mum and from the cleaning staff, handyman, cooks and administration, we could not fault their dedication. We highly recommend Park View Care Centre to anyone who finds themselves looking for a care home.

My mum has been a resident at Park View since September 2019 following a brain bleed and three strokes. Mum was in hospital for four months and had a lot of complex needs when she went into the home. Mum sadly passed away on the 7th July 2020. The care that she received as a resident has been outstanding.
The staff showed Mum so much compassion and kindness, which as a family we will never forget. The staff truly are a wonderful team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to maintain an exceptional standard of care. Our heartfelt gratitude and thanks go out to them all.

Dad came into Park View Care Centre on 4th February 2020. Sadly his ability to walk was eluding him. He had to spend much time in bed and chair. The staff were very kind and helpful. A final meal together with his family was laid on two days before he died. The smile on his face on that day I will take
to my grave. Thank you!

Darren Humby

Job Title: General Manager

With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to Park View Care Centre.


A Registered Nurse by background, Darren has worked across a variety of specialities, both in the NHS and in private healthcare. His transition to private healthcare included leadership roles such as Care Services Manager and Registered Care Home Manager, where his passion for high-quality care continued to thrive.


Darren's dedication to care excellence has been recognised on the national stage, having twice won at the National Finals of the Great British Care Awards in the Frontline Leader and Care Home Manager categories.


At Park View, Darren is driven by a commitment to leading his team in a way that fosters growth and delivers the highest possible standards for residents. He believes that great care comes from great teamwork and that leadership and governance are key to helping his team become the best versions of themselves. Karen McCall

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2016

With over 22 years of experience working in social care, Karen became a valued member of the Park View family when she join in 2016.


Over the years her role has changed and every role has had different things which Karen enjoys. 'A part of my role which I like is setting families minds at rest and that they have done what is best for a relative. The guilt people feel at placing loved ones in care can be huge! When they see their relative settled and happy it brings them a great deal of peace and it makes me feel proud that our team has helped them.'


Karen is also proud to be part of team who respect and care for each other.


When she is not at work Karen enjoys reading, she also loves ABBA and dancing. Most importantly, Karen loves spending time with her grand children who keep her very busy!
