Park View Care Centre

I have found it extremely difficult since March 17th when care home doors were closed to all visitors and of course this had to happen. Since then I have only been allowed to visit my husband on two occasions. My usual visit was every day, five hours at a time. But I know that he is being looked after well and the staff are very kind. My husband has dementia, he cannot make conversation and he is deaf and it's been extremely difficult having to wear the mask. It would be better if I could just wear a shield.

My mum has been in the home since July 2020. My family and I are very happy with the level of care she receives. She is content and doesn't appear to be agitated any more. It has given us peace of mind, which we are grateful for.

My mum has been here for 7 months now and she feels at home. She is always clean and tidy. Whenever I ask her if she likes it here she smiles and nods her head (my mum has dementia). I'm very happy with the home, the staff re very caring and helpful.

We chatted and it made my visit calm.

Our mum passed away recently after spending eight very happy years at Park View care centre. First in Cedar, then Oak and finally in Beech unit. The rooms are nicely decorated, complete with en-suite facilities. There are lounges, complete with armchairs and TV and dining rooms with table and chairs in a restaurant-style, in each of the four units. Both areas are used for entertainment, using outside artists. The activities team keep residents entertained every day of the week. We have been extremely happy with Mum's care from every point of view. The welcome we received each time we visited was always very friendly indeed. The care staff were very kind and courteous to our mum and from the cleaning staff, handyman, cooks and administration, we could not fault their dedication. We highly recommend Park View Care Centre to anyone who finds themselves looking for a care home.

My mum has been a resident at Park View since September 2019 following a brain bleed and three strokes. Mum was in hospital for four months and had a lot of complex needs when she went into the home. Mum sadly passed away on the 7th July 2020. The care that she received as a resident has been outstanding. The staff showed Mum so much compassion and kindness, which as a family we will never forget. The staff truly are a wonderful team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to maintain an exceptional standard of care. Our heartfelt gratitude and thanks go out to them all.

Dad came into Park View Care Centre on 4th February 2020. Sadly his ability to walk was eluding him. He had to spend much time in bed and chair. The staff were very kind and helpful. A final meal together with his family was laid on two days before he died. The smile on his face on that day I will take to my grave. Thank you!

I would like to thank the nursing staff and the carers at Park View (Beech Ward) for the care and attention they all gave my husband.

She has very complex needs and Park View staff have provided her with the very best care. We are very happy with the kindness, compassion and professional nursing care that my mum has received. Nothing is too much trouble for staff at Park View.

The Park View Care Centre is expertly managed and run by the kindest and most compassionate staff. My mother-in-law's welfare and day-to-day care are second to none, nothing is too much trouble for the nurses and carers. We are kept fully informed at all times of all developments, including phone calls to home now and again. The care home is spotlessly clean and tidy at all times as is the room where my mother-in-law stays. A perfectly run care home.

All the staff were friendly and always had a smile on their faces. Thank you to everyone at Park View.

My father was a resident at Park View Care Centre for about 6 weeks following a hip operation. In that time I experienced his needs being met to a high standard. The care was consistently good with a kind, compassionate and helpful approach from the carers, who were always willing to do what was required and a bit extra. The nurses always found time to talk and seemed to understand my father's needs and personality. The cleaning staff were also friendly and attentive demonstrating that it was "more than just a job" to them. I found the administrative staff welcoming polite and professional. It makes such a difference to visitors when they are greeted with warmth and a smile. Thank you to the kitchen staff as well.

The staff were always friendly and welcoming. They treated mum with compassion and respect and took the time to get her back on her feet encouraging her to walk to the dining room.

My review, overall, is a good one. I have been accepted for care with dedication and real interest in my progress as regards my new hip.

As to activities and food - most of the time I have been struggling with a chest infection and could not take part or eat, however, I enjoyed doing a complicated jigsaw!

I have been thoroughly medicated and had a doctor to give an opinion. When I leave I shall have only good memories and will recommend Park View Care Centre.

My husband went to Park View Care Centre for end of life care. He had terminal cancer. The care he received was absolutely outstanding. The sensitivity and compassion of all the staff was very comforting for me. Their attention to detail was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. He was too ill to be cared for at home but Park View was the next best place for him. Thanks to the manager and all the staff for their care.

Every time I come into the care home I've been met by very pleasant, smiling staff that have always been willing to help me with enquiries. Nothing is too much for them. Going upstairs to the ward, the staff are always happy, chatty and very helpful if needed. They go over and beyond to help families and residents. I've been to activities and they are just brilliant for the residents and families. Well done Park View Care Centre.

Could not fault this care home, all staff so friendly and looked after my mother and visiting relatives and friends as if they were part of the family.

The staff were amazing, they really care about the residents and were always cheerful. The rooms are very comfortable and the food was excellent.

I would thoroughly recommend the home.
