Our Fees and Care Banding
At Highfield, we believe families deserve clear, honest and transparent information about the cost of care. To make this as straightforward as possible, we use a care needs banding system, ensuring that each resident’s fees accurately reflect the level of support they require.
The fees shown on our website are based on Care Needs Level – Band 1, which is our lowest level of support and suitable for residents with minimal needs.
Before confirming an individual fee, we complete a comprehensive care needs assessment. This helps us understand each resident’s health, support requirements and personal preferences, enabling us to provide truly personalised care.
We offer four levels of care support:

Band 1 – Low support needs
Band 2 – Moderate support needs
Band 3 – High support needs
Band 4 – Complex or intensive needs

Once the assessment is complete, we will let you know which band applies and the associated weekly fee. We always discuss this openly with families and encourage questions at any stage.
Room Rates
In addition to care banding, room rates vary depending on size, layout, outlook and location within the home.
This means a resident’s weekly fee will be a combination of:

Their assessed care band, and
The chosen room rate

We will talk you through all available rooms, explain the differences in price, and help you select the option that best suits your family member’s needs and preferences.
Here to Support You
We understand that choosing a care home is a big decision. We are always happy to provide more information, arrange a visit, or answer any questions you may have.

Visiting

  • At Highfield, the team believes that a care home should feel like home — not only for the people who live there, but also for the people they love. For this reason, Highfield offers open, flexible visiting with no restrictions at all.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time that suits them. There are no set hours and no need to call ahead; visitors are free to pop in for a chat, share a cup of tea, or spend time together in whatever way feels right. This is their loved one’s home, and they are always considered part of it.
Visitors are also welcome to take their loved one out, whether for a short walk, a family meal, or a full day out. There are no limits on when residents need to return, as Highfield recognises how important it is for people to enjoy life outside the home and maintain independence and personal routines.
Highfield’s aim is to make visiting relaxed, natural and enjoyable, helping families and friends continue the meaningful moments and relationships that matter most. At Highfield, the doors — and the hearts — are always open.

Parking

  • Highfield offers convenient off‑street parking for visitors, providing easy and accessible spaces directly outside the home. Families and friends are welcome to use the parking area whenever they visit, making it simple and stress‑free to come and spend time with their loved ones
