Oakdene Rest Home

As a family, we got to crisis point but we are so lucky that mum is now in a safe and caring environment where she can be stimulated or relaxed. We have seen a marked improvement in her well being. So worried about Covid-19 but the care team have been sending amazing photos and videos - we didn’t expect this service. The Care Manager has listened fully to our needs/concerns and equally, she has encouraged us to drop in some items we thought mum would never use or wear again, it’s been a transformation. One team approach, so happy.

I am very pleased with the high standard of care given to my friend. He has settled down really well and loves the food and endless cups of tea and biscuits. All the staff understand his needs.

My first experiences when visitingOakdene was very pleasant and I immediately felt that it was the right place for my wife to be cared for, in my stress, which I felt at the time I was greatly relieved. Four months have passed since my wife was taken in. To know that she is very happy at Oakdean Rest Home is a relief.

I try to visit Mum every other day after work on weekdays and in the afternoons at weekends.

Always offered a drink, tea or coffee. I find all staff friendly to me and all other residents.

My nieces are very happy with their mother’s care, as am I. Lovely atmosphere. Great staff who obviously care greatly for all in their care.

My mother has settled here very well. All the staff are very caring. I have never seen a carer get cross or angry, only ever seen love and cuddles. There is plenty going on at all times whether it be verbal quizzing, puzzles or some kind of live entertainment.

I have found Oakdene Rest Home to be a really lovely place to be. The staff are all very compassionate and caring and nothing is too much trouble. I can't speak highly enough of the staff that work there.

The staff were all kind, friendly and professional. She was well looked after. The food was lovely and varied. We were very sad when mum had to leave. I would recommend Oakdene to anyone looking for a caring 'home from home' care home.

Since my Dad has been a resident I have not seen any concerns whatsoever. The staff have always been very helpful and most of all very chatty when Dad calls them.

So pleased with the care my Dad receives. The carers take the time to chat to him and make him feel comfortable. My Dad never liked the sound of a home until he went to Oakdene where he is happy.

Very happy with everything. My wife is looked after extremely well, like I would at home. I leave with a smile on my face knowing she is happy and content.

Since my dad has been at Oakdene he is getting the support he needs. The staff are amazing doing anything they can to help however big or small it may be. Couldn't ask for a better place for my dad to be.

The management and staff are all very attentive and caring. Mum's health is not always good but we are kept well informed and the staff call on the doctor if they are worried. The home is small and very well kept with individual rooms kept nice and clean. I am very happy with mum's care.

My mother has excellent care at Oakdene all the staff are really friendly and take very good care of all her needs. The home is clean and tidy. I am very happy with things.
