I have found the care of my father to be wonderful. He is definitely treated as a person. He has shown to us that he is very happy at the home, even though his dementia prevents him from verbalising his feelings staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I have much admiration for the care staff at Oakdene, over the last two years they have worked under much pressure. With a change of management, I feel this has been a very challenging time for the original staff, many have left unable to cope with the new management's changes.
My mother has been there
for over four years, she is probably the longest resident there now, she is a real character and probably not the easiest resident to care for, she say what she thinks, and certainty staff at Oakdene know just how to handle her, I appreciate that.
There have been many times my wife has had to speak to the management, with complaints, on their part but never complained about the care staff, that is the reason my mother remains at Oakdene, as she is self-funding we could easily move her on.
My wife visits regularly to the home, she has had many issues over the last two years, with health and hygiene regarding my mother.
