Pine Lodge Care Home

My mum has been in Pine Lodge for a few months now and ever since she got here she has never been happier. All the staff look after her really well and make sure all her needs are met. The activities are fantastic and my mum really enjoys being here. She has struggled to find comfort before now, but I am so pleased she has got a place at Pine Lodge, as I know she is in the best place she could be.

My mother was at Pine Lodge for almost 2 years. The staff took great care of my mum during her time there. She was always treated with dignity and respect and was so well cared for. Sadly she passed away this year, the staff not only took care of her, they took care of me too when I visited as I live overseas. Always willing to give me an update on the phone, I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful, warm and caring staff.

Mum had to go into care during the first lockdown. We chose Pine Lodge at random from online reviews. It turned out to be a great (and lucky) choice. Mum settled in straight away. The room was comfortable, and the care and staff were wonderful. Although Mum didn't join in very much, there were plenty of activities, and everyone seemed happy. The staff were very caring and seemed genuine to like Mum. She spent her last years in a caring environment. Thank you.

My father is very happy, and I cannot praise the care he is getting highly enough. He says he only has to ask for something to be done or got for him. My brother and I are so pleased to have been able to find somewhere where he is both settled and happy.

My mum is 93 and now unable to look after herself at home, we looked at care homes and Pune Lodge was friendly and local to us (5 minutes away). This was a hard decision for us but the staff made her very welcomed and she has settled well. We know she is sage and being looked after very well. Thanks to all at Pine Lodge.

Cannot fault the care home in any way. Staff always smiling, always a good sign.

My mum has been at Pine Lodge for over 2 years now after being admitted directly from the hospital after a fall. It was originally only to be for 6 weeks respite, but Covid struck during that time and she's been there since. From the first time I visited Pine Lodge and was given a very friendly tour by the assistant manager, I knew that it was the right place for my mum. I have always found the staff very caring and friendly. They are very supportive of mum's health & wellbeing, especially attending to her demanding needs because of her vascular dementia condition. In addition, Covid has been a testing time over mum's residency and they have always handled the situation professionally, maintaining safe guidelines for visitors and residents. Whenever I ask mum, she seems to be happy with the way she has been looked after. Thanks to all the staff for making my mum's stay as pleasant as possible.

Staff were very kind and helpful in getting mum settled in when she first arrived nearly three years ago. They are respectful of her preferences and choices and treat her kindly. The last two years have been difficult because of Covid but the home has helped as much as they are able to.

My father has been at Pine Lodge care home for almost one year. During that time he has been so well cared for and support. Everyone has been so kind and thoughtful towards his needs. I cannot thank everyone enough for the love and attention they have shown my dad.

I found the staff at Pine Lodge professional, kind, caring and hardworking. They treated my dad with respect and kindness and with dignity. I would like to thank all of the staff who cared for my dad.

Amazing care home. Staff are caring and kind and thoughtful to their residents and families visiting. Nothing is too much trouble. They have a top-class chef and the food always looks appetising. Entertainment at this care home is fabulous with so much choice to live singers and arts and craft day. They go above and beyond to ensure the residents are looked after and feel loved. Thank you to each and every one of you for all you do.

I am always made very welcome. Every aspect of care is good to excellent. The manager is always approachable and extremely helpful as are the staff in general.

I can't praise the staff enough. They take great care of my mother. Who is looked after extremely well. The arts and crafts are fantastic and I can see the residents all love the activities and entertainment provided.

My father has been at Pine Lodge since Spring 2019. During that time he has been very well looked after. I live quite a distance away and cannot visit as often as I would like so have to rely on the staff to give him the care he needs. They certainly do.

Dad was ill before Christmas and I spent a lot of time with him. It was very evident that he receives excellent care and love from the staff. They are so kind and obviously have a good relationship with him. Staff keep me informed and, because visiting can be difficult, do their best to make sure that I can spend time with him when I am there. He is safe, well cared for and loved. What more can I ask for?

If you require a care home that is like a holiday guest house, that is warm and friendly with excellent caring and attentive staff and carers; then this is it. Thank you, especially to "the girls", as Mum would call them, because she loved them very much.

My elderly mother who suffers from dementia had a fall in April of this year and was admitted to hospital. Following a review of Mum, it was recommended that Mum be placed in a local care home as it was considered no longer safe for Mum to live at home on her own. It was a very hard decision to make as a family and we were very worried about placing her in a care home. We needn’t have worried as from the outset they welcomed Mum with open arms. Since her admission, her general demeanour and welfare have improved no end and overall she is very settled at Pine Lodge. The carers and Managers go over and above to make their residents feel welcome and cared for as though they are their own family. Whenever we ring the home to ask after Mum in between our visits, the staff always know who Mum is and give a very comprehensive update. One of the carers at the home remarked that she couldn’t believe the change in Mum since she arrived, which we would definitely agree with. They are fantastic.

My Father is extremely well-loved and cared for at Pine Lodge all their staff. He has been a resident since December 2019. I can't thank the team enough for all they do and how they have all coped during such difficult times. My Dad tells me the food is 5 star and he is well looked after. From the day Dad went in any request was quickly met to make him as comfortable as possible. After visiting Dad today he was proud to tell me this is his home with a big contented smile. For anyone that has had to make the heart-wrenching decision to place their loved one in care, you can imagine the reassurance this brings me and our family. Thank you everyone for all you do.

My mother has been a resident for 3 years at Pine Lodge. Her time was made a pleasure, due to the special staff and management team. She was made to feel loved, valued and safe. Magnificent staff, hard working, but always with a smile.
