There was always something for my mother to do and as her dementia unfolded she loved all the singing and music. My mother could be cantankerous but this never seemed to faze the staff.
My mother has been in Pine Lodge for 3 and a half years. I have generally been happy with the care provided. The food and entertainment are excellent and the rooms are always clean and tidy. I attend the relatives meeting and the question of families not attending review meetings has been mentioned...
I mentioned that I was not happy with the state of the lounge as the carpet looks dirty and it's sometimes smelly. The curtains look old. We have had to complain about the fact that mum's nails have not been cut and were dirty, and also that her skin has not been creamed as instructed.
