They pride themselves on having an excellent care team, highly trained to care for residents with respect, patience and compassion.
The majority of bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and the Home has comfortable lounge and dining areas, all of which look out onto peaceful gardens with flowerbeds and outdoor seating. Other amenities include an onsite hair salon and a ‘Forget Me Not’ café in the garden.
The Home also employs a physiotherapist to support residents with rehabilitation, including bespoke packages for day care or short-term placements. Physiotherapy services help improve strength, reduce or prevent falls, and enhance overall well-being.

We try so hard to ensure our residents are well cared for and hope they know they are loved like our own extended family. We try to provide the high level of care that we would want for our own families. The staff team there are a kind and caring bunch of people who all go over and above in their duties - to get such positives reassures us that we are getting it right - thank you so much.

My aunt had a fall, fracturing her pelvis in 2-places. The manager was able to change her bedroom to one nearer the lounge and dining room ready for her return after a few days in the hospital to ease her mobility. She was very disorientated, confused and distrustful of the carers on her return but they were wonderful with her, very kind and gentle. Nothing was too much trouble for them to help settle her back into her normal life in Sonya Lodge. My aunt can be very blunt and stubborn at times, but they never take any notice of it. The care and compassion shown not only to her but me as well at what was a difficult time are second to none.

At a very fraught and distressful time of her life, my Mother was lucky to gain a new family in Sonya Lodge. The Manager and her team all welcomed her so warmly and were really friendly from the moment she arrived, helping her to settle in quickly. The staff are really kind and patient and they really look after her. The entertainment and several trips out every week keep her very busy. She has found it very easy to make new friends. She enjoys the food, which is varied and plentiful (we had to buy larger clothes she is eating so much better!) I saw several depressing homes but on my first visit to Sonya Lodge to view I could feel immediately how comfortable, homely and relaxed it was. I am extremely happy with the care that Sonya Lodge provides and I am so grateful that my Mother is safe, happy and well looked after. In my opinion, it is by far one of the best in the area and the most perfect suit for my Mother. I couldn't ask for more, I highly recommend Sonya Lodge.

My father moved into Sonya Lodge last summer n 2018 and has settled well. Staff are lovely and really care about the residents. Management are also lovely, they are always happy to listen to any concerns you may have and deal with any issues promptly. I am very happy with the care they provide and believe my father is safe and well looked after. The home has a welcoming, homely feel and after visiting many homes, this is by far one of the best available in north Kent. I would highly recommend this care home.

This is wholly due to the care and kindness of the management and all the carers and even the kitchen and cleaning staff. She is treated as an individual, always referred to by name and her individual needs and preferences are catered for. When mum has required a doctor to visitor or ambulance to take her to hospital the carers have been prompt in taking action and updating me.
