Lake House

I have been visiting Lake House over the last eight years. I have always found the staff very helpful and caring. The premises are very pleasant on entering and also the gardens are pleasing to the eye.

My husband was very quickly settled by friendly staff. He enjoyed the care and kindness shown to him during his stay.

Medication was always on time extremely important for a Parkinson's sufferer.

Always plenty to eat whenever you want it.

Clean and tidy.

My dad has been in Lake House for 3 months. The staff are lovely but they should get him to join in with activities rather than let him say "no".

I never mind visiting my friend in this care home, the staff are always welcoming and helpful. They all seem to show genuine care for their residents and try to fulfil their needs as best they can. They all seem very respectful.

My dad came into Lake House Adderbury over Christmas 2017 for 14 days.

Dad was extremely well looked after and could not praise the staff enough. Nothing was too much trouble.

Unfortunately, a lot of the residents have Alzheimer's and Dad found it difficult trying to have conversations with other residents, not a fault of Lake House.

I cannot praise and thank the staff enough for the care they gave my mum during her stay. Although I think she could be a little difficult at times, they were always very patient and respectful to her. They were all very supportive to myself and my family and always had time to talk. I will be forever grateful to them.

From our initial contact the staff were polite, courteous and willing to help, despite being in the throws of a fundraising day. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming and since our first visit, the management have been unfailingly supportive.

After an unsettling move into the home, my father has settled well into the daily routine, whilst still maintaining his independence regarding meal times and his privacy.

Overall our family's experience of Lake House has been positive, however our connection is only weeks old.

My uncle has resided at Lake House for 2 weeks and as far as I can see has been treated very well. The manager and assistant manager have been most helpful in very difficult circumstances. The food provided is of a good standard. The accommodation and cleanliness of Lake House is superb.

My wife arrived at Lake House in July 2016 after being at hospital for 4/5 months for a mental breakdown, after hopsital investigation internally. She still gets very agitated at times the mental health have finished with her now and she is at Lake House for Demtnia. The staff and conditions at Lake House are very good in all they do.

There is always a happy feeling around the home. We could not ask for a better place for our father. Thank you all.

Poor standard taking my wife for one week to give me respite. Things lost, teeth, despite telling staff to be aware, shoes, trousers (one pair) had to do return trip for other items. Told I should have put a label on teeth by senior member of staff. How stupid is that, couldn't trust to give medication. Admin is fine and helpful but others would not recommend.

My father has been in Lake House for respite care for a few weeks and I must say its made all the difference. At a time that was difficult for him to accept going to stay and having recently lost his wife of 62 years, the staff have made him feel at home and well cared for. Thank you to you all.

My sister has been cared for here at Lake House for the past couple of months. I am delighted with her care and she is very happy. My thanks go to all concerned with her care.

Mum has been at Lake House for ten months and is beginning to settle in and feel at home. The care is excellent and the staff work hard to meet her needs and always respond to requests and see to her well-being. I like the relaxed and friendly atmosphere around the home and family members are always greeted with friendly smiles and can always approach staff about anything. Nothing is too much trouble. I can rely on Lake House informing me about mum's progress or any difficulties she might have. The activities don't always suit her, I think residents should be taken out to be more active but Lake House does what it can within their resources. The grounds are lovely and mum is able to work in the vegetable garden and is given some responsibility and is happy. I am confident we made a good choice in Lake House knowing she is happy and safe.
