The care team at Cossins House are a true delight. The care and activities are both outstanding. I couldn’t wish for a better place to see my friend spend her future.
Keep up the good work! God bless you all.
I visited my friend recently and I thought I was at the wrong address, a grand difference from the entrance and inside the home. Of course, my friend is extremely happier about the change at Cossins. Team members are the same enthusiastic, happy and ready to help. You can feel in the atmosphere, the compassion and care, and the teamwork. A good feel care home I must admit.
Every time I go to visit our elderly friend at Cossins House, it’s always felt very homely. Staff are always very friendly, always saying hello and how am I doing? That’s a great feeling though. Never forget to ask me, if I wanted to have any drinks.
I have been invited to a few of Cossins House activities, I must say, it seemed to me that the staff have given 100% effort to make all the residents, family and friends of every resident feel at home. Activities were brilliant, a lot of dancing, singing and food was always good. Lovely people.
The building is not best suited to a care home due to the different levels on the first floor but, having said that, it does give the more mobile clients a bit of exercise.
The top rooms do seem to get rather hot in the summer.
But all in all, it's a lovely place for the clients to live.
Thank you for your positive rating, we're pleased to hear you'd recommend Cossins House to others. Your comments regarding rooms and facilities will be passed on to the Home Manager and team. All the staff are very friendly. The care and attention given to my friend is excellent. In fact, from what I have experienced, the same level of care is given to everyone, with great respect and love for the individual.
I've been coming here to visit my Gran since I was about 5 years old and I can say with confidence that the staff at Cossins House have done everything in their power to make sure Gran was as happy and comfortable as she could be. And when times were hard they were here for me and the rest of the family as well. I'm extremely grateful to Cossins House and the wonderful, kind staff who work there. Thank you.
We feel so fortunate to have found Cossins House as the care is phenomenal.
My mother has complex needs and nothing is too much trouble in order for her to be comfortable.
We have always been made to feel welcome and nurtured by everyone and can't thank them enough.
My mother lived the last three and a half years in Cossins House Care Home: Cossins has a cosy 'home from home' feel to it and benefits from being small and intimate, where both residents and their relatives can build a warm and trusting relationship with its staff, many of whom have worked there for many years. All staff aim to make the later years of the resident's lives stressfree, safe and warm and comfortable. We were so lucky to find it.
Everything clean and sweet-smelling.
Fresh flowers. Mother very content and relaxed.
Over the years visiting Cossins House I have always found the staff to be professional, cheerful and above all kind and caring. It is a joy to walk into a care home that is bright, clean and well presented. I only have the highest praise for the staff at Cossins House.
I am very impressed with this home. I always feel at home. I am always beloved by lovely people and the special care that they give me each day is excellent. I love them all. God bless always this home and all my lovely carers.
Thank you.
Staff at Cossins are amazing. The majority of them have been there for many years and are clearly committed to providing excellent care. The home is quiet and peaceful, set in wonderful grounds with resident ducks and chickens! It is good to know that my dad is in safe hands and is so well looked after. The staff go out of their way to help and have a real understanding of my father's needs, which is very reassuring.
My aunt has been at Cossins House now for 4 years and has been very well cared for. In the past 6 months, hse has deteriorated both mentally and physically. The care and support both she and us have received have been excellent. The staff have tried very hard to see she can still participate in the life of the home and she continues to enjoy a good quality of life.
This is a Nice, pleasant, clean and quiet nursing home, friendly staff and management are easy to approach.
Location is great as the ambience is very relaxing.
Overall I am very happy with the care given to my father at Cossins House Care Home. The accommodation is excellent (a self-contained cottage), except there have been many problems with the bathroom whose design is faulty. The current management team is excellent as are the carers except, that some do not speak/understand English very well. Cleanliness not always up to scratch but I am not unduly concerned about this. Security difficult for staff as the cottage is not in the main house. Communication greatly improved recently.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home, we are delighted to hear how happy you are with your Father’s care here at Cossins House and that you find our management team ‘excellent.’ The contractor fault in the bathroom is being reviewed further following your feedback, as is cleanliness....
The house and grounds are beautiful and the atmosphere a really caring and happy one.
Some niggles from mum about the food sometimes but she couldn't be in a better place in terms of the overall care and the environment.
Thank you for your positive review on our home, it is wonderful to hear how pleased you are with Cossins House and our team will be delighted to hear your comments. Please do pop in for a chat with our Home Manager at your earliest convenience and we can ensure there are plenty of items on our menu that your Mum will enjoy.
A very nice and friendly home. Would like to see more trips out etc. Mum really enjoys the ground and gardens etc.

Meet the Team (18)

Healthcare has always been the driving force of my career, ever since I trained as a Registered Pharmacist in the Philippines for 10 years.
I moved to the UK in 2003, joining Cossins House as a Care Assistant, working my way up eventually to Deputy Manager and now General Manager.
As a General Manager, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the home’s daily operation, ensuring that the highest possible standard of care is provided in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Barchester policies.
As a leader, I will demonstrate an open and transparent culture, whereby my staff feel valued and developed.
As a team, we have achieved the prestigious Gold Standard Framework (GSF) Award-Platinum Status and a CQC 'Outstanding' in the Care Domain.
As a person, I am kind, calm and patient. I love to spend time video calling and chatting with my family back home. I am a mother of one child and happily married.

I started my career in the care industry as a Senior Care Assistant way back in 2006 in Nottingham, before moving to Surrey in 2010. I find my role really fulfilling!

I am the Activity Leader here at Cossins House and provide a large number of activities. We work on a person-centred approach for each of our residents. We work as a team to engage with everyone and work to the needs of each resident. We have lots of fun and games indoors and outdoors, trips out, LIVE music and entertainment and one-to-one sessions.
We have a Holy Communion service every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and a hairdresser who visits every other Monday. We are always open to new ideas and have volunteers coming in each week. We work closely with Pet Therapy and have several dogs visiting. We work with local schools, who sing for us every Christmas.

Catherine has been at Cossins House for 7 years and is responsible for ensuring that the administration of the home runs smoothly and effectively. This includes both our management accounts and payroll.

Manny is responsible for ensuring our residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times.

I started my career as a chef in 2008 and joined Cossins House in 2019. I am passionate about working with fresh produce, creating well-balanced, seasonal menus focused on residents' choices and the nutritional value of the dishes. I enjoy having a chat with the residents and their visitors to get to know more about their likes and dislikes. I cook with a dedication to ensure the residents enjoy their meals.

Alex demonstrates a true passion for gardening by cultivating a welcoming atmosphere in our gardens with colourful flowers and vibrant, wide-open spaces that benefit our residents and wildlife alike.

I'm responsible for the home's cleanliness, and I make sure everything is tidy and in order. I also make sure the home smells inviting. See you all soon!

I am a Senior Care Assistant at Cossins House and work nightshifts. I have worked in the care setting for many years and have a true passion in taking great care of all our residents.

Working with the elderly is a true passion of mine. I have worked in care for many years and have achieved so much experience. I always give 100% to my career.

Anne supports our chef in the kitchen with all food preparations and takes care of keeping the kitchen clean and well-maintained.

I have been working at Cossins House as a Care Assistant since 2015. I really enjoy my job and love to work with Elderly Residents.
