Overall Experience

My sister moved in a month ago, and I must say I could not be happier for her. The staff are very attentive, as she is non-verbal, they pay attention to all her needs. Fircroft has a wonderfully warm atmosphere and is a happy home. I could not be happier that she is there

Overall Experience
My sister is 47, has Down Syndrome, is on the blind register, has Epilepsy and Dementia with complex needs. We have always wanted her to be able to live her 'best life'.
We knew as soon as we saw Fircroft that it was a well run and managed home, with: caring, empathetic, proactive, skilled and kind staff. The Manager is a very capable and strong leader with great values which she imparts to her team and is not afraid to make changes where needed.

We want to work in partnership with any home that my sister lives in, and believe that we have this balance at Fircroft. Nothing in this world is perfect, but the openness and willingness to always strive for better is evident, and feedback is welcomed. It is very hard to find a home such as Fircroft. My sister had to move borough after having to leave her home of over 30 years, but the sacrifice has been worth it for her happiness, wellbeing, good care and our peace of mind.

Overall Experience

My brother, now aged 68, was born with Downs Syndrome, learning disabilities and latterly diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He was transferred to Fircroft Care Home after an unsatisfactory placement at a Care Home in Caterham. He stayed at Fircroft for almost 2 years and moved to a smaller home last week. The care he received at Fircroft was exceptionally good. They understood his needs and the care he received there was second to none. From the Manager to all staff, they went above and beyond what is required in caring for adults with multiple health challenges. As a family we were in awe of how they dealt with the many challenges presented in the 2 years my brother spent at Fircroft. A business is only as good as the staff it employs. The staff at Fircroft are some of the best I have come into contact with. Caring, encouraging, empathetic, funny and anxious to bring out the very best in the people in their charge.
