Friendly staff, who show genuine concern about the care provided. Throughout lockdown, I have received regular emails containing photos of my Dad and updates. Dad seems settled here since mid-December 2020 and appears to have built a good rapport with some of the staff.

Reply from Melissa Cooper, Regional Operations Manager at St Vincent's
Thank you, I am glad that you have liked the pictures and email updates, we understand how difficult it is with limited visiting. Dad is very settled here and has made a nice group of friends.

I will pass your kind comments on to the staff.

The staff at St Vincent’s are absolutely amazing and are like an extended family. The care that my mum receives is second to none, and they were fantastic in the care they gave my dad in the last days of his life. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your kind comments, your mother is a pleasure and part of our extended family and it was our privilege to care for your father.

Well, what can I say? St Vincent's made a very traumatic time in our lives so much easier. Dad was so well looked after, literally can not fault them at all. I would recommend St Vincent's to any family that want only the best care for their loved ones. Simply amazing! The care was exceptional, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Dad had to be in quarantine for 2 weeks initially, but St Vincent's made that more bearable for us and video called us on several occasions as Dad has dementia and had forgotten what was happening. Dad will have to go back to St Vincent's at some time while my mum has surgery and recovers, and I am not worried at all about it. Special thanks must go to the manager who had to put up with my tears on many occasions.

Thank you so very much for this wonderful review. It was our pleasure to look after your wonderful Dad, and he is welcome back here anytime. Hopefully, your mum also felt reassured whilst she was going through her own health issues. I completely understand your concerns and worries, not having...

The most caring home there is in Bexhill on Sea.
St Vincent’s is extremely clean and comfortable, it has a lovely atmosphere and caring staff, second to none. The food is outstanding and cooked on the premises.

My husband was there for many months and I was absolutely sure that all his needs were catered for. The manager was fantastic and kept me updated on my husband's progress.

Reply from Jo Freeman, Manager at St Vincent's

Thank you so very much for this lovely review. We formed a close bond with you and your husband in a short time and we loved looking after him, as well as becoming close to you. Both myself and the team appreciate the recognition of the work we do, and for you to take the time to recognise this in a review, really means a lot.

My mother has been a resident for almost two years. St Vincent’s offer a very professional and friendly, caring environment for your loved ones. Their every need is catered for. The staff, from the maintenance man, right up to the management, do an absolutely splendid job.

The actual carers/nurses are very friendly, warm, caring people, that carry out their duties, to an exceptional standard, providing reassurance, dignity, with great patience and professionalism. My family and I would recommend this home, to any future families loved ones, 100%, and personally award them 10/10.

Review from Linda F (Sister of Resident) published on 7 September 2020 Submitted via Website

My sister has lived at St Vincent's for the past 3-years and previously lived alone for many years and was agoraphobic and reclusive.
From day one all the staff were marvellous with her and treated her with such loving care and kindness and have made her feel part of a large family which has improved her well-being and mental state no end.
They have all worked wonders with her and have transformed her from someone who wouldn’t even leave her room to someone who now goes downstairs to socialise every day and happy to join in with all that’s going on.

I cannot thank the staff enough for this complete transformation and so for me, they are simply the best and only home to consider for your loved ones.

Since mum has been at St Vincent's the change has been dramatic, she has responded so well to the care given by the dedicated team led by the manager, mum says that it's like being at home with a family.

I would highly recommend St Vincent's to anybody who wants their family member to be made to be welcome and well cared for.

Reply from Melissa Cooper, Regional Operations Manager at St Vincent's

Mum moved into St Vincent’s for the last few days of her life to receive the level of care that in our opinion, no other home could give her.
Dad had spent his final years at the home so mum was well known to the staff prior to her arrival and it was fitting that she too would pass away as dad had with dignity and a level of care second to none.

Since dad passed away we have maintained a relationship with St Vincent’s which we have seen improve to the highest possible standard in every respect thanks to the new manager and her assistant who we hold in the highest regard for their professionalism, kindness and friendly approach. Such a pity it took so long for these two wonderful ladies to be given the chance to show just how they could transform the home into a very special place for their residents. Thank you for the loving care you gave to mum and dad to make their final days peaceful and painless. My hope is that the owners truly appreciate their wonderful staff as much as we do.

The staff are second to none at St Vincent's, warm, kind and attentive providing a really homely atmosphere for the residents. It is not just a job for them it is quite apparent to me that they really do care. My father is really happy living there and that gives me peace of mind. The food is wonderful having had lunch there myself and there are many activities for the residents.

Staff are caring, patient, knowledgeable and dedicated. Always available to discuss any concerns. The environment is clean, a home from home, cosy. Food is extremely good and a choice is available. Staff go that extra mile to give residents meals they want. Close monitoring of appetites. I have no concerns about my relative.
