Overall Experience

A mediocre home of the low to middle distinction. The level of care varies, depending on the quality of daily supervision of each shift. Issues became evident within the first few days that the patient would not receive an acceptable level of personal care. After 2 months, although improved with the settling in period, the care is still not equal to common practice standards in many practical common sense details. It is also evident that the level of care would not increase with additional cost to the client. In essence, you get what you pay for. Recent renovations to the reception area have improved the appearance of the home. Food served is of a good homely standard and the quantity is sufficient. Staff are kind and have listened to issues raised but the recurrence of some issues become frustrating, which is evident of a lack of reporting these to each shift. The current CQC Report is over 2 years old and a more recent report would undoubtedly raise the standard of the organisation.

Overall Experience

This is a five star residential home in relation to the care and empathy shown by every member of the devoted staff. Their kindness, devotion and professionalism are apparent at all times. The accommodation has/is being updated and improved to a good standard. My mother always appears happy and clean, well fed and attended to. I would recommend this care home to anyone who needs a loving warm environment for their relatives with the medical attention their loved one requires.
