The tranquil atmosphere and friendly staff are always welcoming. My husband's mobility has improved as he has free movement around the home and garden, He has now go to know other residents and established a daily routine. However, as he previously attended two different day centres each week he is bored and misses the structured days. He likes watching sports and I wonder if there could be a designated television area for sports. My husband keeps all his few personal things in the basket of his walker as he's worried about things being taken from his room which is always open when he's not there. Would it be possible for me to make his menu choices?

My mum has vascular dementia and moved into Forest View in April this year. The staff are caring, patient and friendly at all times. The room has everything my mum needs and she comments often on how wonderful the food is. Having lost my Dad last year and then
Mum's very quick decline it has been a tough road, having Mum put into a nursing home was a hard decision but the right one. She has 24 care a lovely room, great staff around her, activities and medical care when needed.

Thank you Forest View.

My mother has been unwell recently and I feel she could have been seen by the G.P. on Friday 4th instead of waiting until Monday 7th. I was at Forest View on Thursday 3rd, visiting my mother and she was bringing up lots of sickly bile. I understand everyone is understaffed. But I do appreciate what the home does for her. Thank you!

Unfortunately because of mother's dementia, we get no feedback from her so not properly able to comment on how she feels about her care of the quality of food for example. Our experience when visiting is very good and staff are very helpful.

Bright, comfortable surroundings with wonderful and caring staff. My mother loves the companionship and knows that staff are always there to assist her. This last week we had to tell mum that our brother (her eldest son) had died. The support and kindness shown by all was wonderful and greatly appreciated by all our family.

I would like to say how excellent I think the whole team at Forest View are. My mother came to them for respite care following a bad fall and surgery and a refusal from her previous assisted living care home to have her back due to concerns over her safety. The deputy manager at Forest View was so helpful and welcoming it turned a very difficult situation into a positive one. We were kept informed of my mother's progress, were able to speak to her daily and when I visited I was made very welcome. The facilities are great but it is the staff and their very welcoming helpful attitude which stand out. I have no hesitation in recommending Forest View. With the Deputy Manager's help, my mother is now moving to a new home nearer to family members but if we lived nearer then Forest View would be our first choice.

During the pandemic I have been unable to spend much time with my mother inside the care home, therefore it is difficult for me to accurately assess the questions. What I do know is that every time I visit I am welcomed warmly by the staff and that they are wonderful towards my mother. I am very confident that she is treated with dignity and care.

It may not be the most luxurious care home in Sussex but if the most vital reason for its existence is to care and support the elderly, then it stands with the best of them. If I won the lottery I would never want my partner to be moved elsewhere.

I found the staff at Forest View polite, helpful and devoted to helping the people feel safe and loved. I have been kept informed if my husband had any problems. Nothing would seem too much trouble. I am disabled myself and respect and appreciate all they do.

During the coronavirus lockdown, it has been difficult for me not to be able to visit my mother. I know the care home staff have all worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and happiness of the residents. They are continuing to do an amazing job in unprecedented and uncertain times. They have kept me informed of my mother's current health and day to day living and any worries, problems she may have. they have also ensured we get regular facetime calls with her.

Our mum is cared for extremely well at Forest view, she has been a resident there for nearly 6 years since July 2014 and has always been treated with dignity, respect and has received excellent care. We are always made to feel welcome at the home by the staff. I would highly recommend Forset View as a care home.

This is our first experience of day and residential care. The staff have been very supportive of my husband and myself. My husband has Parkinson's and dementia - and is younger than most people using this service - and has needed some extra care and support as he is aware that others are more in need and this has worried him. He has settled well and come to enjoy daycare and is still acclimatising to respite.

Ideal songs and dance for patients and visitors on Valentines Day. Patients came alive and smiled, sang and clapped to the music. Drinks and food laid on and decorations made it a lovely afternoon for all. The couple who played and sang were excellent. Very well organised.

My mother who had been a resident in Forest view since January 2013, passed away on 15th January 2020. During her time in Forest View, the staff had provided a level of care for her and her dementia that was truly exceptional. I will always be eternally grateful for all that the staff did for my mother during her time in Forest View.

Forest View is all I could wish for as a safe, friendly, clean, professional care home for my mum. Staff are fabulous and go above and beyond! I have peace of mind that my mum is getting the best possible care in a wonderful environment where the staff really do care and is safe. Mum loves having her hair and nails done and the freedom to wander around - she is in a happy place.
