Overall Experience
Care given at Avon Manor Care Home was warm and kind.
Residents treated with dignity and as individuals. A small dog at the home gave great pleasure to a lady who was extremely unhappy after her one dog passed away.

The staff are amazing. I visited at various times of the day they were always patient and helpful.

I cannot praise or recommend the Avon Manor staff enough for the love and care they have given to my mother-in-law. We recently lost her at the age of 94 but right to the very end and afterwards, they were supportive and caring. We would not have had her for so long without them. I looked at many before being lucky enough to find Avon Manor. I could not recommend it enough.

Thank you to the manager and all your amazing team.

I can't recommend Avon Manor highly enough over the way they cared for my mother. She settled in very quickly not least because they were so welcoming to her and the attention they gave to her individual needs. Every time I visited it was evident that all the staff were friendly and caring. The home was always clean and the food was home cooked and very tasty. I would like to make special mention of the manager and her deputy, who I believe provide excellent leadership. When my mother was admitted to hospital after a fall, she moved heaven and earth to get her back home and as a result, during the last two months of her life, she was happy and comfortable.

Overall Experience

The manager and staff are very friendly and caring. The home is clean and homely. The residents are looked after very well. There is attention to detail and all the residents are dressed well and appropriately. The residents are given choice. There are many activities taking place throughout the week eg. gentle exercise, music. This is a happy home which is very welcoming and comes highly recommended.

Overall Experience

Avon Manor is an excellent, caring home where all the staff treat the residents as one big family. The staff are very gentle and encouraging in sometimes very difficult circumstances and where possible will always go with the wishes of the residents. Though of course with dementia that can change from day to day. Avon Manor always liaise with family regarding any medication and inform as soon as a doctor is called. They also provide a variety of entertainment for the residents some of whom will join in. Very patient and flexible regarding feeding, sometimes again in difficult situations.

Overall Experience

My mother had Alzheimer's and wasn't the easiest person to deal with as she was always really independent. The care staff respected this and always treated her with love, kindness and dignity. When she was confined to bed never once did they shut her door or ignore her. They would turn her every hour and see to her every need. They kept a rota on her at all times. They kept her clean and would talk to her all the time. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We use to hear them talking to other residents with nothing but kindness. There was always lots of laughter and love there. I will never be able to thank them all enough. They were wonderful.
