Glebe House

My mum stayed here to recuperate for three weeks following a fall and a stay in hospital. She was very well looked after and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The staff were very kind and professional, and the building very pleasant and clean. Overall, I felt that my mum received the best of care, for which I am very grateful.

Glebe House is absolutely amazing. My mother in law had been in hospital for 5 months on a rehabilitation ward and sent her home when she wasn’t ready and unable to do things for herself. We then got a place at Glebe House for 6 weeks. After only 2 weeks at Glebe House the transformation in my mother in law is amazing, she is able to stand and walk with minimal assistance and is happy there. This is due to the hard work and dedication from the care team and management going above and beyond to help her.

Sadly, there are no beds for him to stay long-term as he would love to. Big thank you to all.

I'm a volunteer, was recommended. Never have I worked in such a lovely home. Staff are lovely and welcoming, very well looked after, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The manager is very supportive. Bless to be on their team.

Exemplary kind and compassionate care provided to Mum by all the team at Glebe House. She loved her time here; felt safe, comfortable and most of all completely at home. We could not have wished for a better environment in which to spend her last year before passing away peacefully.

A first-class nursing home with excellent facilities and a dedicated staff. My elderly mother, on respite care, was treated with great warmth combined with respect and dignity. Well done, Glebe House!

Mum passed away in Glebe House yesterday, after a year of loving care. I cannot thank the staff enough for the quality of their care and support. Mum was extremely happy in Glebe House and considered it her home. She was very fond of all the staff, as they appeared to be of her. I live abroad and it was such a comfort to know she was happy and settled. I was kept regularly informed of her mental and physical state and the carers and admin staff were always cheerful and welcoming. Thank you so very much.

From the first moment I arrived, everyone was really helpful. They found that I was suffering from acute back pain and set about helping me. The carers were brilliant in the first few weeks, helping me with bathing and dressing but due to their tenacity I ended up on pain patches, which made a huge difference. I left Glebe House a completely different woman, able to walk freely and stand unaided. I can't thank you enough. I am now at home and coping.

My mother only wanted to come to Glebe House after a bad accident. I would like to thank all your staff, high to lower, for their kindness and help to me also. Living in Spain, it's not easy to leave her but having visited for a week, I am happy. The new decor is tasteful and relaxing. No smells except good ones!

I arrived here from the hospital on Monday 03 April 2023 and from the very get-go, I have been treated with the utmost respect and great care. The staff are fantastic and especially caring. They take the time to talk to you, answer any questions and if they do not know the answer, they find out. They keep my sister informed of everything that happens to me as well, which I find most reassuring.

My mum was greeted warmly on arrival and made to feel welcome. Staff came to check what she needed and what her preferences were. As her carer, I was also made very welcome and found the staff very warm and friendly. The care they gave to Mum was impeccable and they were professional and calm, even during my mum's episodes of challenging behaviour. The layout of the building is superb and beautifully appointed.

Everything about Glebe House is great. Loads of love for my mum but also for her family. I can't thank them enough, we will always be in their debt.

First class, Glebe House was home to my wife for six weeks while she was recovering from a broken hip, she also has Parkinson's. The staff were kind and so helpful. Top place!
