Glebe House is a lovely place, my father is a new resident at this home. The staff are the loveliest people, the care and understanding is 110%, the food and cleanliness are 100%. My father is very happy and looks amazingly well, his room is lovely and comfortable. I would recommend Glebe House, It's a wonderful place. Thank you.
She is now wheelchair-bound and the staff are very supportive with her needs.
I always find the staff friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble.
Also that the support workers, domestics and laundry and maintenance and kitchen workers are good and caring and willing to help us and what is more enjoy their work.
They keep me, more than they need to, very well informed of mum's little falls and their care is second to none. I'm very happy and now relaxed that mum is very well cared for and loved. They make me very welcome every time.
I am delighted with the care and support my father receives at his care home. I have absolutely no concerns. The staff are all amazing and I trust them completely. He is so happy and the staff treat him as though he is a member of their own family. I have nothing but praise for the care staff and management. Thank you. I also have to mention the cleanliness of the home and the catering staff who prepare healthy home-cooked meals. The housekeepers make sure my father has freshly laundered clothes Thank you.
On each visit am greeted warmly, offered refreshments. All staff always smiley and appear very happy in their work. All staff interacted warmly and appropriately to their residents. The place is homely and clean. Budgie in day room a nice touch. My Friend reports plenty of activities. Management is very approachable.
Mum came into Glebe in March 2018 as she was no longer able to cope at home. We were sad that this time had come but couldn't have wished for a nicer home for Mum to come to. Everyone is friendly and happy. The food is very nice, the rooms are kept clean and the laundry is collected daily. We know Mum is being well looked after and if there are any health issues a doctor is called to give Mum a once over. All in all, we are very happy with Glebe House. They do an amazing job.
As a family, we have been most impressed with the care given to our mum by the staff at Glebe House. For over 3 years, they have diligently cared for her and we have been regularly contacted when the need arose. The staff are most cheerful and supportive of her and take the greatest care to meet her needs. The atmosphere at Glebe House is warm and welcoming and there's a variety of activities on offer from visiting owls to singers. We are grateful that mum is in a safe and caring home.
I have found my being at Glebe House very helpful and caring, not only with me but the other residents at the home.
The care in this home is outstanding. Unending patience in difficult times. Cheerfulness and respect when dealing with residents. Management always available to help and advise. My brother being in this setting has lifted a huge load off my mind. He is safe. I am so impressed that I am now a volunteer, helping with activities. Keep up the good work!
We have always found all the staff to be friendly to us and our Uncle. They treat him with the utmost kindness, always taking the time to make sure he has everything that he wants. The office staff are very prompt in making sure he is well looked after. The food is of a very high standard, always look appetising. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy and he is always entertained by staff.
This home is run with a good standard. All the staff are caring, they look after my mum very well. Many thanks to all.
I have found the manager to be always available she always listens to my comments and acts on them. My friend who lives in Glebe House really loves being a part of the Glebe House family she is treated with care and respect and feels valued by the staff. It is a great relief to us as we do go away for the winter but we know she is happy safe and well cared for a very big thank you to all the staff.
Mum is very happy here. She is well looked after. All the staff are pleasant nothing is too much trouble and all seem very caring. My wife and I are made to feel most welcome when we visit as though we are part of an extended family. I would recommend Glebe House to anyone needing care.

Meet the Team (4)

There is not a role in a care home that Jo has not undertaken – she loves a challenge and has helped out in many Shaw homes across the West Sussex region, learning and improving along the way.
Jo enjoys the interactions she has each day with families, health professionals, and of course the lovely residents. Jo commented “Speaking to the residents and listening to their life stories, just knowing you have made a difference to someone’s day, is what makes working in care so wonderful”

I started at Glebe House in 2015 as a support worker. I then became a team leader and now I am the administrator.
My mum resided at Glebe House when she needed care, after seeing the fantastic care and support given to her I decided that I wanted to be a part of the Glebe House team.
My role as admin gives me the opportunity to support each of the residents and their families first hand.
I am privileged to meet future residents and their families and ensure that all of their needs are met whilst residing with us.
I love being part of such a supportive and dynamic staff team and spending time with each and every resident.

I have worked with an entire spectrum of people with differing health needs.
Over the last 11 years working in the care sector, I have gained many skills and achievements, my highest qualification is, Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
In my previous role I was a registered manager at a home for those with mental health needs. I then went on to have a baby girl and decided that I wanted to take a new career path still in the care sector so that I could use the skills and knowledge previously gained to give 100% to my new role.
I joined Glebe House as the second administrator. I enjoy the people I work with and every day is a new challenge, this gives me the opportunity to develop my skills to ensure I am always providing a fantastic service to the people we support and their families.

Started working in the home almost 9 years ago.
I am currently working as a team leader, which I really enjoy.
Working in this role and supporting the residents and the staff team gives me immense job satisfaction.
I know that I have achieved when I can make at least one resident smile every day.
It’s such a rewarding career and team work is paramount to the safe running of my shift.
