I am happy to say I would be happy to recommend The Shelley. The staff are hard-working.

After a recent hip operation, I moved to The Shelley for rehab. I have enjoyed 3-4 weeks of excellent care and amenities from the staff and all concerned. I thoroughly recommend it.

The management is of the highest quality. The staff is worth their weight in gold understanding, considerate, helpful, loving and caring. Very pleasant staff at the Shelly. I am very grateful.

I've loved my ten day stay at The Shelley. Staff and residents made it so nothing was any trouble, even when I thought I might be a nuisance, I was made to feel like one of the family - close and soon loved. One day, I hope with all my heart to return for another stay or longer. Thank you all for everything.

My mother has lived at The Shelley since 2020, during the Covid pandemic. She considers The Shelley to be her home and is very fond of the staff and is full of praise for her care. She has taken full advantage of the excellent range of activities until recently. She loves the food and has a very comfortable room. Everything is clean and comfortable. Staff do their utmost to cater for her needs and are ensuring that she is made as comfortable as possible as she is moving to the end of her life.

The staff and service were excellent, as were the facilities. Lovely stay, I would come again.

Our family's experience of The Shelley is nothing but positive. The ground floor room was really nice with a garden to sit out in. The decor of the home gives off a homely but boutique hotel feel. All the staff are friendly and professional, we dealt mainly with the assistant manager who was so kind, understanding and really made a difference to the health and well-being of my mother-in-law. The food and freshly made cakes are amazing. I have nothing but praise for the staff team at the Shelley.

The Shelley is a very comfortable home with a lovely garden and Mum felt both safe and well supported and had a really positive experience during her stay. Mum enjoyed the food and company, and the staff were very kind and caring. The family were always warmly welcomed on our visits and we would highly recommend this super home.

Fantastic building. Every resident gets their own room and all our needs are attended to. The activities are really fun. Food is very good throughout the day. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The service at The Shelley exceeds all expectations. The carers and support staff are very professional, capable and friendly. Suffice to say that my wife reckons that she will join me here if and when she needs similar care. The management here keep accurate records of my medical needs, including my diagnosis of early stages of Parkinson's Disease and Dementia. Altogether first class. Food is superlative.

I booked my dad into The Shelley for two weeks of respite care. The rooms and food were lovely and the staff were all extremely caring. This place would be our first choice if he chose to have long term care. If they keep up the standards, I'll book my place in twenty years or so!

I came into The Shelley at the beginning of June 2021 for a two-week stay and liked it so much that I am still here. My cousin (next of kin) came with me and we were both immediately impressed with the appearance, facilities and friendly staff. The twice-daily activities were interesting and stimulating and the food was good and nicely presented. I was able to bring some items of furniture, pictures and ornaments, so very quickly felt at home. The staff are, without exception, helpful and cheerful with a valued can-do attitude. I am very happy here and well cared for, to the great relief of my family.
