The Shelley is a 32-bed residential care home set in the residential area of Worthing, 10 minute walk to the seafront. The home has been running for 20 years and the team are proud to have established a reputation as providing the very best in care, focusing on the little things that matter and that can truly make a difference to a resident's day.

The Shelley is a beautifully designed, warm and comfortable home offering daily and extensive activities and great food. Each member of the friendly, highly experienced team is committed to this culture, ensuring the residents are at the heart of everything they do. Rating 'Excellent' in all categories below is no exaggeration; it is hard to speak too highly of The Shelley Care home. Everything is aimed at "care" for the residents. The management is first class, the staff are wonderful. I cannot imagine a better place for my elderly mother to be.

I cannot overstate the quality of care given to my Aunt from day one. I have visited many care homes and this is the best one that I have ever seen. It is lovely to see how happy my Aunt is here, there is genuine affection as well as excellent standards of care, by all staff.

I have nothing but wonderful praise for the Shelley. The staff are full of love for their residents, something that I'm not sure would happen in many such homes. My mother has been there for two and a half years now and she is, I honestly believe, much happier than when she was living at home by herself.
She feels loved, is surrounded by caring, funny, thoughtful people and is truly relaxed and content. The facilities at The Shelley are beautiful - everything is fresh and well tended. The entertainment is beyond compare - a constant stream of outings, musical events, local school children, pets and even a llama visit! My mother, never a foodie, has told me numerous times how good the food is - and they have a facebook page showing the residents and staff just loving life (and yes, the food looks amazing!). I could not be happier for my mother to be living there, and when the time comes, I might just book myself in!

Only stayed one week as needed to rest. Staff all very kind and all had enough time for a chat. Management very considerate and caring. Standards consistently high. Room spacious and light. Very clean. Felt very safe. Food very good.

My nan stayed at The Shelley and she really enjoyed it. The care and service were to such a high standard I wouldn't hesitate to bring her back.

The Shelley gives me and my daughter a peace of mind. There is nothing for me to worry about. All the staff are kind and friendly. The food is wonderful. There is a lot of choice and lovely home made cakes every day. I could not have picked a better place.

Nothing else quite like it. From the moment you walk into The Shelley care home, you feel at home.
With smiley and welcoming staff offering a range of teas and coffees and the sound of live entertainment waving you in. The staff at The Shelley go above and beyond to ensure each and every resident receives
the love and care they need. The décor resembles a five-star hotel, the food is delicious and the constant entertainment is unmatched

I stayed in February this year for some respite. I always felt safe and the people who looked after me were very considerate of my needs and very kind. They were kind to everyone, not just me. I was very happy and felt able to talk to everyone. A wonderful place.

I visit The Shelley regularly after my great aunt stayed here a few years ago. It is the most wonderful place where staff are happy and helpful, always something going on and you can feel positive energy all around you. Senior staff are calm, competent and efficient. Care is provided in a compassionate
manner. Food is wonderful (I have stayed for a few lunches) Lots of choice and variety.

I have lived at The Shelley for four years now and have always found it excellent, but it is the last few weeks that really proved to me they are the best since my knee surgery last month, I have been showered with care and kindness second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they all without
exception attend to me with kindness. I am very fortunate to have found The Shelley when I did.

I have lived here for eight years and it has become my second home. The owner, manager, deputies and all of the staff treat me as a human being and care for me in a gentle and positive way. Nothing is too much trouble and I have all the independence I need. The security of living here is a massive relief
and I have no need to worry anymore. I am pampered respected and loved greatly by many. There is a constant buzz about the home, and laughter and love is everywhere. The food is of an extremely high standard with no shortage of anything, and superb choice at all times. the activities, entertainment, outings and daily happenings are in abundance. There is no need to be bored. My family live overseas but they don't have to worry about me now. I love living here and I am most fortunate to be able to do so.

I have been a happy resident at The Shelley for 8 years now. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always willing to help and do their best for you as always. Christmas is very special here with everyone doing their best to make it a time to remember. I love the food
here, plentiful and always a lot of choice. I would not want to be anywhere else.
