The Shelley is a 32-bed residential care home set in the residential area of Worthing, 10 minute walk to the seafront. The home has been running for 20 years and the team are proud to have established a reputation as providing the very best in care, focusing on the little things that matter and that can truly make a difference to a resident's day.

The Shelley is a beautifully designed, warm and comfortable home offering daily and extensive activities and great food. The Shelley looks like an elegant 5-star boutique hotel. My cousin's room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Food was delicious, you would not get better in a top restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and everyone friendly and welcoming. Staff were brilliant, helpful, polite and very caring.
The home was spotlessly clean. The activities staff were great, a lot to do every day and something for everyone.

I feel secure. Having vowed never to leave my home, I feel I have done the right thing. Where else could you find the kindness and competence shown by the united and happy staff? The generosity in providing extras like manicures, the efficiency of the laundry services and courtesy to visitors is special.
And then there was my birthday party - Wow!

I have stayed at The Shelley care home for 3 weeks respite from 6th January to 27th January 2020. As you will see in the section below I really cannot criticise anything I have experienced. I have been treated at all times with dignity, care, courtesy, great kindness and understanding by all the staff.
I would be very prepared to advise anyone to choose The Shelley care home.

My brother stayed at The Shelley for four weeks following surgery. I was impressed with everything at The Shelley, from decor to activities. Staff were brilliant, they were very friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was always very good and people active. I was often invited

My father thoroughly enjoyed his three weeks respite at The Shelley. I visited almost every day and saw nothing but kindness and compassion from staff. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and put both me and my father at ease. Food was lovely, plentiful and with a lot of choice. Homemade cakes were
delicious. Activities were engaging, interesting and stimulating. Well done to all of you at The Shelley.

The care staff and activities were all excellent. I would go back again if I had to. A wonderful first-class and home and thanks to all at the home for the help. It's first class.

I have had a really wonderful week here. I arrived on Monday 17th June feeling very fragile after an operation in hospital. I was made to feel very welcome and reassured right from the start. I have been given a lot of care and nurturance from every one of the staff.
I really appreciated the comfort
and quality of my room and of the whole house and I've enjoyed the activities that I've been along to during the week.
It's been very restful and uplifting to live in such a friendly and supportive environment and I am sure my recovery has been greatly helped by being here. I have felt stronger and stronger every day.
I've also enjoyed meeting the other residents and spending time with them at meal times and in the lounge.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who has made my stay such a happy and positive experience. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to spend the beginning of my convalescence here.

My Aunt was in full-time care at The Shelley from August 2018 March 2019, when, unfortunately, she went into hospital and was unable to return following a downturn in her health.
I have to say, the care and love she received at The Shelley was exemplary. The sense of wellbeing and happiness hits you
at the front door.
Aside from the very high standards of cleanliness, nutrition and comfort, I was particularly impressed by the activities and entertainment program, clearly designed to promote both the physical and mental well being of the residents.
The staff could not be more friendly and helpful both to the residents and to their relatives and visitors; a real welcoming home from Home.

This care home is outstanding in every way. The staff from management to carers are exceptionally kind, caring and sensitive both to residents and their families. The home is always friendly and welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. The surroundings are luxurious and always spotlessly clean. There
is always lots going on for the residents with varied entertainments and trips out. My mum has been so well looked after, always treated with love and respect - what more could you want.

Delighted to be able to recommend The Shelley to my neighbour and happily there was a place available, just when she needed care for respite. The staff cared for her in a very respectful manner, which included humour and suggestions when appropriate. I am grateful that 24-hour care helped my friend

All care staff, without exception, are always cheerful, helpful and courteous. All staff are very hard working but always greet residents with a smile and help for disabled.
Gentle exercise and entertainment provided every day, plus short trips in minibuses around town and countryside.

As always the staff here are amazing! Nothing is too much trouble you're so caring, professional and genuine. I am a trained nurse there is nowhere else I would put my parents as I would not trust Anyone. This home truly is outstanding worthy of their grading from the authorities! My parents love it
here we have two rooms so I can go on holiday and really relax. My parents love the staff and the surroundings and even more the food!!! X thanks again for an amazing stay .....

I recently stayed at The Shelley for two weeks respite care while my daughter and son-in-law went away for a holiday.
I couldn't have been looked after better. The care I received was outstanding. The staff were very attentive to all my needs. My visitors were made to feel very welcome. I enjoyed joining
in with many of the activities provided and the meals were excellent. I most certainly will be returning to The Shelley next time my family are unable to care for me.

I came here for respite care after leaving hospital. I have been surprised by the very high standard of care. Nothing is too much trouble to them. All of the staff have been very kind and sympathetic.
The food has been excellent, each meal has been excellent. Well prepared, beautifully presented and
cooked to perfection. Very suited to older people.
