Mum just transferred here and although I was a little worried at first it would be the right place for her the team including the manager and deputy manager have been amazing.
I don't think I've seen mum look this well and her Parkinson's being managed so well
Thank you it means a lot to us that mum is comfortable and settled

Mum enjoyed her stay here at Walstead Place. She found the staff were all caring, friendly and supportive. Good food was provided and plenty of activities, which she got involved with. She was happy with her room and found the home very clean.

The staff really made my friend feel welcome and every time I saw him he was full of praise for them. He was well looked after. He was a bit under the weather on arrival and looked so much better by the time he left. The staff made time to have a chat and a joke and never made either of us feel like they were too busy to talk or help. The facilities and location are lovely. The dining room seemed buzzy and he reported that the food was good (and he is a fussy fellow) It looked good to me too. He wants to go back next time he needs respite care.

My friend was very well looked after by the marvellous staff here. The room is bright and airy with a lovely view where my friend could see the comings and goings. He came out having put on a small amount of weight which is excellent as he's underweight. He ate quite well but is a very fussy eater and has a tiny appetite so the staff managed with very well to eat more. Thanks.

It was a pleasure to support them during their stay, and they'll always be welcome back if they ever need our help again. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
This is my mother's 10th stay and as always, she is happy and well cared for and the house is clean and well run. She loves the staff and trusts their care and judgment in my absence. She is always happy to be here.

My husband is extremely happy here and very relaxed. The staff are amazing not only in the standard of care they give - which is excellent, but in the kindness they give too. The atmosphere in the home is happy. The staff know all their residents very well and share fun and laughter with them as well as empathy. It is not easy to leave a relative in the care of others but the minute I visited here, I knew it would be exactly right. My son and I feel like part of a big happy family here. Thank you!

Home is well run. Staff are excellent, they work very hard. Residents free to do what they wish, whether to take part in activities or do their own thing. Meals basic but well cooked and tea or coffee offered during the day. As for me they dealt with and resolved my medical problems, so no need to continue as a resident.

Broadly a satisfactory experience. The staff were generally attentive. Management was very good at dealing with queries and taking action when needed. Flexibility in arrangements was good. The standard of food could be better. The room was light and airy providing a feel-good factor. Delightful gardens. The chiropractor and hairdresser both did a great job. On balance, we would consider returning if the need arises.

Dad went for a week's respite care. Every time we visited he was cheerful, clean, relaxed and comfortable. I would not have any doubts about him going back for future respite care. By the end of the week he was joking with staff as if he had lived there for months. Everyone was helpful, lots of tea or coffee on offer, nothing seemed to be any trouble. A very positive experience. If I'm being fussy, there was a wee smell in the corridor outside his room, but his room was fine.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review, C! We're happy to hear that your dad received such great care at Walstead Place and will pass on your comments to the whole team.
We are happy overall with the care provided. My aunt particularly enjoys the surrounding gardens and food. I have unfortunately experienced problems with communication in relation to a hospital visit and the setting up of a direct debit to pay for care. Despite this, we are happy with the service and quality of care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for your comments about the care and team at Walstead Place. We would be grateful if you could contact us at wecare@ariacare.co.uk so that we can learn more about your experience and continue delivering the very best care and support.
The experience has been very good. I have no complaints. I liked the friendliness of the staff. I was very well looked after. I would definitely come again, this is my second stay.
Thank you for your review, Pamela, it was an absolute pleasure to have you here at Walstead Place and we're so pleased that you enjoyed your time!
