Care for the residents is excellent. Carers are kind and helpful - especially with my mother who has dementia.

Extremely caring staff who do everything they can to make Mum's stay as nice as it can be.

Coming here for respite has exceeded all my expectations! I have a lovely en-suite room downstairs, with views of the garden. The staff are so kind and caring. Meals are first-class - delicious! Every need I may have is catered for, I am so pleased that I am here for 3 weeks.

Whilst there are some lovely staff at Walstead Place - this was marred by the attitude of the manager, so I moved Mum out. I was also disappointed that Mum was placed in a room not suitable for her needs. Having to go down in a stairlift to shower meant she had two showers in three months. The day she moved in (at 11 am) - I called three times for her to be updated. This didn't happen until 20.30 - the manager thought this was acceptable!

My mother stayed at Walstead Place for a short time last year. The staff could not have done more for her and she was really well looked after. The staff were amazing, from cleaners to kitchen assistants and carers, who were all very polite and courteous. The food was wonderful, even providing halal food for my mother. Her room was spacious, very clean and overall, had a lovely homely feel to it. Thank you all.

Given the current inability to be present, it is difficult to be specific, but occasionally it feels as if the odd staff member is not as attentive as others. Generally though, the overall atmosphere and service is excellent.

My uncle was at Walstead Place for a short time last year. The staff could not have done more for him and were brilliant from cleaners to kitchen assistants and carers. The food was first class and all made fresh on a daily basis and he could request food or drink at any time of the day or night. The home is very clean and does not smell at all like some care homes do. My uncle was very happy there. The staff have kept the home very safe during the covid pandemic.

Walstead Place is a beautiful care home on stunning grounds, with an amazing level of care. There is a lovely feel and atmosphere in the home, as well as friendly and professional staff. Thank you.

I have been very pleased with the care Walstead Place has given to my mother. Over the last few months, when we have been in lockdown and in the dark days of January, the staff at Walstead Place have worked hard to keep the care home a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for the residents. I would definitely recommend Walstead Place to my friends.

Again, my sincere appreciation for the constant sacrifice and hard work done by the staff to keep the residents safe, healthy and active. My Mum is delighted with the Home and I never hear a criticism. Well done to all and keep up the excellent work and hopefully, soon this Pandemic will be sorted out and we can return to visit our loved ones.

My parents have been resident at Walstead Place for a year. They have very different needs but both have had excellent care from the friendly caring staff who always have time for a chat and an update. During these difficult COVID-19 times, the home has managed the situation extremely well and the staff are always cheerful, despite everything!

Thanks to all the staff at Walstead Place who have done a brilliant job caring for my father and ensuring the devastating coronavirus stays outside the home. During totally challenging times their focus has been on the residents and their wellbeing and the results speak for themselves.

Walstead Place is a very caring environment. My father is very well looked after. The staff are friendly and always happy to talk about any concerns I might have. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home.

My mother came here, after having lived at a home with a live-in carer. To start with, she seemed to spend a lot of time in her room. However, once an activity coordinator joined the home, she really integrated into life at Walstead. All the carers really looked after her very well and were attentive, caring and friendly to us all. The kitchen team are excellent too, certainly for mum's dietary needs. While at Walstead, my mother's social skills improved and she enjoyed her time here.

Our experience has been a positive one. From opening the front door, which is always opened quickly to leaving, the staff are always friendly and helpful and our resident is happy and comfortable - which of course is our main concern. We always seem to have issues with clothes but, with so many residents, it is a great problem.

Our first experience of residential care. Very thorough input from staff to ensure clients needs were covered. Homely atmosphere. Staff very empathetic and supportive of client and carer. My first break in many years and felt confident my husband was well cared for. Just as important for me. Thank you.
