I could not be happier than I am living here at The Hillings. It was scary at first leaving my old home to come here but the staff are always welcoming and happy. The food is always hot and very delicious. My family is always welcome to come and visit. The entertainment and activities are always good and different. I would recommend everyone to come and visit.

She has settled in now and she is happy.

She enjoys taking part in the games. I think the staff need more help.

Thank you very much for your review and comments. Our staff are excellent and currently, I am meeting with them to see how they feel they need more help and how best to achieve this. It is great to know your relative is settled and enjoying the activities!

I've found that The Hillings have been extremely helpful to my family member as he isn't a sociable person but the staff have helped him no end and they have supported him in all ways.

My Mother was a resident at the Hillings (Gardenia Suite) for over ten years. She moved into the newly built extension in 207 to a well-appointed room with ensuite and was able to make it 'her own' with items of furniture and pictures. Throughout her time she was treated with great care and respect. In fact, I would go as far as saying she was made to feel 'special' and 'loved' by many of the care staff. Issues were few and minor and responded to promptly. On this basis, I can heartily recommend this care provider.

Mum had experienced two periods of respite care in two different care homes, but The Hillings is far better than both and I am very happy with our decision to choose it as her home once she needed permanent residency. What I particularly like is the welcoming atmosphere, the empathy shown to residents by the staff and the standard of cleanliness.

Under unexpected circumstances, we were treated with friendliness, compassion, understanding and care.
All my husband's problems were dealt with in a professional way with reassurance.
The home overall had a warm friendly feeling and you were always greeted with a hello.

I would have been happy for my husband to have stayed but his increasing needs from his illness resulted in a move.

My Dad went to Hillings for a respite stay following 3 months in hospital. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated and he passed away about 10 weeks into his stay.

We found the carers looking after him to be very compassionate and caring, nothing was too much trouble and they took a genuine interest in his well-being. The senior carers were just the same as were the management team.

The home had a very good working relationship with both district nurses (who were excellent) and my Dad’s surgery which proved to be a real benefit. They also had a very good working knowledge of hospital procedures which was a real help when arranging ambulance collection etc.
