Set in Peterborough's leafy Park Crescent conservation area, Park House Nursing Home is a long-established facility for 52 residents which offers, within elegant and spacious surroundings, all necessary modern facilities for fully discreet nursing care of the frail elderly.

The aim for each resident making their home at Park House, is to ensure a fulfilling individual lifestyle, one completely respectful of personal dignity and choice, and with all nursing needs met, monitored and regularly re-assessed.

All accommodation is, of course, en-suite and comes fully furnished, together with a large flat screen TV receiver in each room; staff always welcome additional individual memorabilia and personalisation to complete that feeling of "home". Each day's pattern is of the individual resident's choice, and the highest standard of catering, based on fresh, local supplies, individually presented according to need, ensures all meals are enjoyed as much in the expectation as the actuality. Residents have several lounges available for different get-togethers and social occasions, and diverse weekly activities programmes, as arranged by the six-strong activities team, ensure all may be involved in active social focus as they desire; group or one-to-one. Various outside entertainers bring their skills and talents to Park House, and thus help to complete a picture of "Life is for Living" whatever its constraints may be.

The team provide medical and palliative care for the elderly as well as having a separate dementia community. The owners are delighted to have been awarded, in 2011 and 2012, the accolade of double national award winners for dementia care and community.

I am overwhelmed. This is what a nursing home should be. I was fearful of seeing my cousin who has stage four dementia and arrived from hospital last week. He is obviously very ill but a lovely, clean, bright room, a very comfy bed with a cuddly toy, TV on but not intrusive - I was able to talk to him,
remind him of days past and get to see him smile.
The carer was so kind and helpful, explaining things. The home is welcoming, it smells good (and that's important). Thank you.

My wife came to Park House after leaving hospital, she was really unwell. The staff cared for her very very well. They dealt with her needs, stoma, dementia and her ANCA vasculitis in a professional way at all times. The carers and nurses were excellent in dealing with her special needs.

I can't recommend Park House highly enough. My husband was there for just on 3 months. Not only was the nursing care he was given exemplary, all concerned with looking after him treated him with great kindness. They work as a cohesive team. I was treated with such kindness and felt very much part of

I would like to say a really heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Park House. My dad sadly passed away on 18th September at the home, and the care he received was faultless. So much care and consideration was given to not only my dad but our family too. He deteriorated very quickly, and we had quite
a traumatic with his care at another care company. I want to mention how wonderful one staff member in particular was. We feel she helped achieve a good death, and that is not always easy or possible. Her kindness and empathy really helped me get through the first moments of the awful loss of my lovely dad. We’re so thankful for his time with you all. Though short, we felt he was cared for with compassion and so much kindness. Thank you all so much. I highly, wholeheartedly recommend it.

In a nutshell, our parents could not have been in a better place in their final weeks. Park House is the very best we could have hoped for in a care home.
Everything from the layout of the building to the rooms to the empathetic manager and his wonderful staff.
They were professional, yet personal and attentive.
They listened and made every effort to accommodate our needs/wishes.
I'm
very grateful for the love and support my parents and my family got during the last few weeks of their lives.
My parents were Italian. At 98, one of my father's main pleasures, after his garden which he was forced to leave, was traditional Italian cuisine. The cook made the effort to learn and provide him with his favourite dishes!
I would highly recommend Park House to anyone. It's a professional nursing home but feels like a real home from home.

Before we even chose Park House for our parents, all the staff there were welcoming and helpful. The home manager was extremely helpful to my sister in arranging for my mum to be admitted from hospital and provided a bridge between us, the social worker and the hospital.
Once Mum was admitted, the
staff we really warm, proactive and professional. I always felt that they cared in everything they did for Mum and treated her with respect. The kitchen staff tried really hard to make things that Mum would like, even taking the time to learn Italian recipes that Mum might like.
It was wonderful to see Mum so clean and cared for, something which had become so difficult at home; they took over the burden of her care so beautifully and they made my last week with her, a time to cherish, a time when I could simply enjoy being with her, rather than be distracted by the practicalities of general care.

The whole care home team went above and beyond my expectations. It was homely and friendly and I could not fault a single thing, from maintenance, kitchen, carers and nurses. Management made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. I would highly recommend Park House to anyone.

During the last few months of my wife's fight for life, the home provided the highest level of care and support to both my wife and us her family. The home is pleasant, calm and comfortable. The staff have been caring and professional I could not ask for more. One comes away after a visit knowing that

My husband is very well looked after. I always feel welcome in the home and the staff are all lovely. Seven members of our family attended the annual B.B.Q and all were very impressed by the friendly atmosphere. The home is clean and the food is amazing. All my husband's needs are catered for.

My mum was a resident at Park House for the last five weeks of her life. In that time, she was incredibly well cared for. All of the staff treated her with dignity and respect, allowing us precious time with her. She felt as though she was part of a family during her stay, and it is clear to see why
