Bilney Hall offers a splendid environment for gracious living. The Hall dates back to the 19th century yet its luxurious facilities are very much 21st century. Generous single rooms, all with en-suite facilities, are tastefully decorated and provide residents with the necessary facilities for a quality life in later years. Staff very friendly towards myself, and more importantly, my Nan. Always try to make her comfortable and offer a home from home experience. It is always clean, and they all seem to offer lots of love towards my Nan. Would highly recommend viewing this home if you need one for your family. It is the best we found in the area.

My nan came to this care home after needing more attention due to Dementia. She wasn’t there for long before she was admitted to hospital, the care home checked in on her regularly. She was eventually sent back to the care home where they looked after her amazingly. Today was the first time I saw her after two months of lockdown and she seems very happy and looks very well. She has needs that need to be looked after constantly and I feel the care home is doing the best they can.

Mum moved into Bilney Hall in February after her Vascular Dementia worsened, she settled in really well and has been treated respectfully. Mum suffered a setback when she developed pneumonia and was taken to hospital. She recovered and returned to Bilney Hall during the Covid lockdown and since her return, she has been looked after so well. The staff are so lovely and today I was overjoyed to be able to visit her with social distancing in place. Mum is my hero and I am so glad she has the manager and her team taking care of her.

My mum came to Bilney Hall from hospital having been left with aphasia / vascular dementia after suffering a bleed in the brain. During her time at Bilney (sadly she passed away in November) all the staff showed compassion and patience towards her. They were imaginative with her care plan to make her as calm and happy as possible, which could be quite a challenge! I also felt the staff were also very supportive of myself and other family members during some difficult and emotional times.
Thank you.

P.S Mum loved the food.

The care at Bilney Hall is of a high standard and my mother was very happy there and regarded it as her home. As with all care home costs, this represents a huge and open-ended outlay and Bilney Hall offered excellent value for money. We were very pleased as a family for what Bilney provided for my mother in care, security and peace of mind for all including my mother.

Mum was only in Bilney Hall for two months but I’m so pleased she spent the last days of her life in such a wonderful place. The care the staff gave to mum couldn’t have been any better, she was treated with respect and dignity and they understood her in the short time they looked after her. The hall is set in such beautiful grounds and the rooms are bright and clean.

Although mum went in for a short stay after being in hospital it is looking as if it will be longer. All the staff have been very helpful in trying to get her more mobile. Nothing seems too much trouble and always able to answer any queries we have. All the family feel happy that she is being well looked after.

Having moved Mum into Bilney Hall just before Christmas, which was very upsetting, I can't say how delighted we have been with the standard of care, respect and support both Mum and our family have received from the Manager and her whole team at Bilney Hall.

We want to put on record our thanks and appreciation for all the wonderful care and attention she experienced in the nearly three and a half years she stayed with you at Bilney Hall. Our mother cannot have been the easiest person you have ever looked after and as her health declined and dementia set in more deeply we know her strong personality which she showed throughout her life would present increasing difficulties for you all.
Throughout her time at Bilney Hall we saw first hand the commitment and unstinging endeavours you gave to her. She could not have found greater support anywhere else and we are so grateful to you all for continuing to look after our mother so well.

We send our thanks and very best wishes for your continuing efforts to care for people unable to fend for themselves and trust you will receive the satisfaction from your work that our mother enjoyed at Bilney Hall.

After making the sad and difficult decision to place my step-mum in Bilney Hall ( my father was found to have terminal cancer and he was her carer). The staff and management have been the greatest support and help at this time and my stepmother has received so far the best care I could ever hope for. The staff are caring and engage with all the residents giving them an excellent quality of life.

My brother spent over 4 years at Bilney Hall from June 2014. His argumentative and not always polite demeanour must have been a challenge for the staff but they coped with patience and professional care. During his stay, the management changed and although some really good staff left, his care remained excellent. Now there is a new manager who is transforming Bilney Hall. The difference in the enthusiasm and happiness of the staff is very apparent. During the last few weeks of my brother's life, he was moved to the more serious dementia wing where the love, care and attention was superb.

My father has been extremely well looked after since arriving two months ago. The staff and management are caring, kind and go the extra mile. His needs are being met and I feel confident he is in a safe environment. He doesn't always like the food choices and sometimes complains that the meals are cold when they reach him. He likes his room and always tells me how hard-working the staff and carers are.

My grandmother was admitted for dementia care a few weeks ago and passed away this morning. The staff were brilliant. Their care was excellent, they were always happy to talk about my grandmother's care and it's clear they always did their best for her.

I couldn't have asked for a better place for my grandmother to spend her final few days.

Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of her and maintaining her dignity.

I have worked at Bilney Hall for 11 years now. I started as a Carer, having worked for the domiciliary side of healthcare homes. Over the years, I have progressed through job roles, whilst completing additional qualifications. I became a medication assistant, then progressed to senior, the head of care and now deputy manager. In 2020, I also completed my nursing associate foundation degree.

“I decided to work at Bilney Hall as I had worked in domiciliary care, I wanted a fixed place of work where I could care for people and have a positive impact. My favourite part of my day is making a resident's day and being told you’re appreciated and loved, especially in these times where we are the only people our residents see on a regular basis.”
