Bilney Hall offers a splendid environment for gracious living. The Hall dates back to the 19th century yet its luxurious facilities are very much 21st century. Generous single rooms, all with en-suite facilities, are tastefully decorated and provide residents with the necessary facilities for a quality life in later years. The Home provides residential care for frail elderly residents and has separate wings for those with dementia. Although all rooms are fully furnished, staff encourage residents to bring with them items of furniture and personal possessions so that their room can be a true home from home.

Bilney Hall is situated in the picturesque village of East Bilney, just a few miles from the market towns of Dereham and Fakenham. Set in six acres of extensive grounds, residents can relax in the stunning walled garden and wooded parkland which surround the home allowing them to really enjoy this haven within the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

Care staff are trained to the highest standards, using an internal training programme, and chosen not only for their skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual. The emphasis placed on high quality staff was recently rewarded when the company received ‘Investor in People’ accreditation.

They regularly assess each resident so that they can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, and chiropodist visit by appointment, and the in-house hairdressing salon provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. The catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.

Having moved Mum into Bilney Hall just before Christmas, which was very upsetting, I can't say how delighted we have been with the standard of care, respect and support both Mum and our family have received from the Manager and her whole team at Bilney Hall.

We want to put on record our thanks and appreciation for all the wonderful care and attention she experienced in the nearly three and a half years she stayed with you at Bilney Hall. Our mother cannot have been the easiest person you have ever looked after and as her health declined and dementia set
in more deeply we know her strong personality which she showed throughout her life would present increasing difficulties for you all.
Throughout her time at Bilney Hall we saw first hand the commitment and unstinging endeavours you gave to her. She could not have found greater support anywhere else and we are so grateful to you all for continuing to look after our mother so well.

After making the sad and difficult decision to place my step-mum in Bilney Hall ( my father was found to have terminal cancer and he was her carer). The staff and management have been the greatest support and help at this time and my stepmother has received so far the best care I could ever hope for.
The staff are caring and engage with all the residents giving them an excellent quality of life.

My brother spent over 4 years at Bilney Hall from June 2014. His argumentative and not always polite demeanour must have been a challenge for the staff but they coped with patience and professional care. During his stay, the management changed and although some really good staff left, his care remained
excellent. Now there is a new manager who is transforming Bilney Hall. The difference in the enthusiasm and happiness of the staff is very apparent. During the last few weeks of my brother's life, he was moved to the more serious dementia wing where the love, care and attention was superb.

My father has been extremely well looked after since arriving two months ago. The staff and management are caring, kind and go the extra mile. His needs are being met and I feel confident he is in a safe environment. He doesn't always like the food choices and sometimes complains that the meals are
cold when they reach him. He likes his room and always tells me how hard-working the staff and carers are.

My grandmother was admitted for dementia care a few weeks ago and passed away this morning. The staff were brilliant. Their care was excellent, they were always happy to talk about my grandmother's care and it's clear they always did their best for her.


I couldn't have asked for a better place for

my grandmother to spend her final few days.

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and very caring towards residents and visitors. My loved one is very poorly with Alzheimer's and I feel the staff did the very best for him with the amount of staff and training they have. He needed specialist care and had to move.

My mother entered Bilney Hall in a very poor general mental and physical condition. Over the months there was a remarkable improvement. I feel that this is to a large extent due to the care and attention given to her by the staff.


The country location is lovely and there are secure, well maintained

gardens that are easily accessible to residents. The facilities are many and there is a well developed entertainment programme for residents.

Mum came to Bilney Hall in December and her care has been excellent. All the staff had time for my mum and understood her needs, cheering her up when she got depressed and encouraging her to leave her room and mix with other residents in the lounge. Once she was on her end of life plan she was looked

I was and remain very concerned about the decision to place my mother in a permanent care facility. Bilney Hall management and care staff go a long way to reassuring me on a daily basis. Mum is always clean and tidy, and mostly content. When she isn't and the problems are external, issues are dealt

Bilney Hall has been a change of life for my mum and us as a family. It is a beautiful place because of the staff and management. They are warm, nurturing, kind and just lovely. My mum is so much more settled and content. She laughs again and feels safe. I feel like we can visit anytime and are always
