Bilney Hall offers a splendid environment for gracious living. The Hall dates back to the 19th century yet its luxurious facilities are very much 21st century. Generous single rooms, all with en-suite facilities, are tastefully decorated and provide residents with the necessary facilities for a quality life in later years. The Home provides residential care for frail elderly residents and has separate wings for those with dementia. Although all rooms...

This care home is excellent. I have had dealings with several homes in the past few years, and this is the best I have come across. Staff and management excellent.

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and very caring towards residents and visitors. My loved one is very poorly with Alzheimer's and I feel the staff did the very best for him with the amount of staff and training they have. He needed specialist care and had to move.

My mother entered Bilney Hall in a very poor general mental and physical condition. Over the months there was a remarkable improvement. I feel that this is to a large extent due to the care and attention given to her by the staff.

The country location is lovely and there are secure, well maintained gardens that are easily accessible to residents. The facilities are many and there is a well developed entertainment programme for residents.

My dear friend has been in Bilney Hall for some time. The care and attention he gets is even more than one expects. The manager has her finger on the pulse at all times. I have had a lot of care experience and find Bilney Hall to be exceptional.

Mum came to Bilney Hall in December and her care has been excellent. All the staff had time for my mum and understood her needs, cheering her up when she got depressed and encouraging her to leave her room and mix with other residents in the lounge. Once she was on her end of life plan she was looked after well and with dignity.

I was and remain very concerned about the decision to place my mother in a permanent care facility. Bilney Hall management and care staff go a long way to reassuring me on a daily basis. Mum is always clean and tidy, and mostly content. When she isn't and the problems are external, issues are dealt with immediately and in a professional manner.

Bilney Hall has been a change of life for my mum and us as a family. It is a beautiful place because of the staff and management. They are warm, nurturing, kind and just lovely. My mum is so much more settled and content. She laughs again and feels safe. I feel like we can visit anytime and are always welcomed. Every time we arrive, we witness kind and patient exchanges between the staff and residents. It feels like we are a big family. Thank you!

My mother was in Bilney Hall 4 weeks respite care. I am a GP with 22 years experience of visiting care homes in my profession. All the staff at Bilney Hall were welcoming, caring and genuinely good at their role. From management down to the cleaning staff. My mum improved mobility under the supportive guidance of her 24hr care. The management addressed my concern immediately e.g providing new bed when needed. The experience we have had is outstanding and I would recommend without reservation.

My mother attended Bilney Hall in January 2008 in the residential unit until March 2012 when she was transferred to the dementia unit until she recently passed away in December 2016. In the nine years she was there, she was treated with respect, with love, and they provided her with all her needs. Staff recognised the need for her to be moved to the dementia unit and her time in this unit was handled brilliantly by the management and staff despite the difficulties my mother presented to them. We cannot speak highly enough of Bilney Hall and it's staff.

Bilney Hall is a lovely care home in nice surroundings. The staff are all caring and dedicated to their job. In regard to my mother the staff couldn't do enough for her, and me, especially as my mother had Alzheimer's. The management, whilst satisfactory do need to listen more to the care staff and take note of their concerns as they are the ones doing the work.

My sister was admitted to Bilney Hall on October 18th 2016 with dementia. I have very high praise for all the staff there. They are all very caring, kind and explain everything very clearly. The standard of care is very good and the staff are always smiling and very helpful.

My brother moved into Bilney Hall in June 2014. He had been diagnosed with vascular dementia and was physically unsteady on his legs. The staff at Bilney Hall led by the manager, made him very welcome. His room has some of his furniture and pictures and he tells everyone that he has the best room in this house! My brother is not suitable or the most easy person but the staff are very professional and he is beautiful cared for. His room is always immaculate. On the odd occasion when he has been unwell, I have been promptly informed and kept up to date on his condition. Medical attention is sought if necessary. The food is good but he dislikes having his evening meal at 17.00! I would not hesitate in recommending Bilney Hall.

My mother has been an 'Old Hall' (non-dementia) resident here for 6 yrs. She and I have been very happy with the comfortable and friendly environment and staff, and the care provided during that time.

Any problems, mainly minor, have been tackled sympathetically, promptly and efficiently by management and solutions actioned by staff in their various departments. The current manager has improved most areas significantly since starting her appointment and the extensive and varied activities programme is a great boost to the residents' lives in residential care and, I feel, also to their contentedness and wellbeing while spending their later years in a different environment.

I have worked at Bilney Hall for 11 years now. I started as a Carer, having worked for the domiciliary side of healthcare homes. Over the years, I have progressed through job roles, whilst completing additional qualifications. I became a medication assistant, then progressed to senior, the head of care and now deputy manager. In 2020, I also completed my nursing associate foundation degree.

“I decided to work at Bilney Hall as I had worked in domiciliary care, I wanted a fixed place of work where I could care for people and have a positive impact. My favourite part of my day is making a resident's day and being told you’re appreciated and loved, especially in these times where we are the only people our residents see on a regular basis.”

“I decided to work at Bilney Hall as it had a friendly atmosphere. My favourite part of my day is the end of shift, knowing we have achieved the targets set.”
