It is a real pleasure to visit my father in Hethersett Hall and see him looking so well and happy. All staff without exception have a ready smile and a moment to chat. HH has recognised what is important to my father and shows him great respect but without an absence of humour and apparent genuine affection. HH is a model care home, an example of how care should be. Well done to all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this feedback, we really appreciate your kindness

My mum has been a resident at Hethersett hall garden house since February 22 . The care and compassion she receives is outstanding, every member of staff gives 100% in everything they do and always with a smile on their faces nothing is ever to much trouble and you can see just how much they care about every resident. You are always made to feel so welcome when you visit too . My mum loves being there and often says how lovely and kind everyone is and how lucky she is to have lovely people looking after her , which as a family is all you want to know that your loved one is so well cared for and happy .

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Hethersett Hall Care Home. My mother moved there after an unsettled period in hospital. My mother was welcomed into the home and settled into her room with gentleness. The staff were always available when we needed help. My mum was encouraged to join in the activities which she did and enjoyed them. The residents are at the heart of everything that is done at Hethersett. The staff also supported me as this was a very difficult and emotional time.

My sister was a resident in Hethersett Hall from 2018 to the 14th November 2025. She had the best care and attention fr her seven year stay. I have nothing but praise for the staff in every department, During the last days of her life her family were made very welcome to visit whenever and how often they wished. My thanks go to the staff past or present.

Outstanding care is provided at Barchester Hethersett Hall. The accommodation is well maintained, spacious + homely rooms. All the staff are exceptionally dedicated to the wellbeing of the residents, showing support + compassion. There is a wide range of activities which certainly enhances my fathers well being, joining in + participating in things he wouldn't have if still in his own home. I thank all members of the team to ensuring my dad has a great quality of life + I definitely recommend Hethersett Hall for respite or a permanent stay.

I visit the Hall, once a month with members of the Hethersett Forget Me Not Cafe.We always get a very warm welcome from everyone. It is lovely to meet some of the residents at the coffee morning and also to visit the very talented art group. There are a lot activities put on for the residents and I have been very fortunate, to have been invited to some of them. The most recent was the summer fete, earlier in the year there was a garden party and also a music band entertained.Thank you to you all.

My Granddad was at the Hethersett Hall for 2 weeks respite, and he really did not want to go to a care home; he had such a good experience that he would return. The staff were amazing, we visited as a family for his birthday and were all treated like kings and queens. Well done, Hethersett Hall.

My cousin has no short term memory and suffers for Alzheimer's/Dementia. He has/had a room at Hethersett Hall for the last 6 months. During that time he was taken part in various activities which he enjoys. He loves keep fit, dancing, all musical events and this has improved his general well being. He loves to interact with the staff and other residents. He also partakes in all the outings. He is kept clean and tidy and his eating habits have also improved gaining a small amount of weight. The staff also arranged an 80th birthday party with lots of his visiting friends. All in all Hethersett Hall has been amazing for him and really improved his life.

My mum has been a resident now at Hethersett Hall for nearly 3 years and since she has been there I have no worries about her care or wellbeing. She never has a bad word to say about the staff who look after her.

My resident feels safe, secure, loved and is no longer lonely. They enjoy the food and social side of dining with others. Music is used in a lot of activities, which is great for involving most residents in their own unique way. Overall, my resident/relative is thriving.

My mother has been in Barchester Hethersett Hall Care Home since October 2024 in the dementia, garden house residency. She loves it! She thinks the meals are like a five-star hotel. She loves the interaction of all the very caring and respectful staff, the energetic and entertaining entertainment staff. Maintenance is always helpful and assists with any jobs. The gardens are vast and beautiful, well-kept. So far I have been very impressed with the care provided by the manager and her caring team!

The staff are wonderful. Each and every one of them were friendly, helpful and kind. Nothing was ever any trouble. They all seemed to know my mum intimately which showed they care.

The activities provided for those with dementia are excellent but there could be more of them. I believe the activities organisers could do with more support. Dementia care staff, again, are excellent but stretched too far. There are frequently no staff to be found in the sitting room and surrounding areas which I feel is a weak spot for safety.
Dear Heather, thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I would like to provide you with reassurance that our staff are doing their best to support all of our residents and provide quality of care in order to maintain their well-being and safety at all times. Please feel free to meet...
My mother has stayed at Barchester Hethersett Hall many times for respite. The home is very welcoming, spotlessly clean, lovely choice of meals. Very friendly staff. Receptionist is excellent. I cannot fault the care my mum has received.

Absolutely lovely place in superb grounds. Everything is so tidy and clean and the decor is so welcoming and has been done so well, you wouldn't think you were in a retirement home. Staff are very friendly and offer you tea or coffee on your visit. Very impressive. A credit to the owners.

The care given is exemplary - it's given with love and care and importantly, humour. My mum loves it when everyone can laugh. The activities are great, allowing her to participate as much as she can. I also really enjoy visiting as the staff are so friendly and supportive of my situation, it feels like a home, not a care home.
