Lancaster House

My sister was moved to Lancaster House when she was quite stable medically, however her condition changed due to medication issues and the staff worked hard to find appropriate timely assessment and treatment for her whilst liaising with us. It was challenging for all but she is now in a much better place medically and her needs are met. On discussion with the staff, they obviously know and care about her wellbeing which is really reassuring after bad experiences in other care settings. Thank you.

Have been a resident for 7 months now. From day one I have felt safe and secure here. Staff always listen to me about any concerns I have day or night. Any issues that have arisen are dealt with quickly. Even in the middle of the night. On the odd occasion my mental health has played up I have been treated with respect and care, and nothing has been too little to bother about. I feel safe here, safe and respected as a human being. We are encouraged to join in at all times in activities.

My father has been a resident for about 6 months. He is well cared for, but from what I have seen of activities, there isn't much going on. I think this could be improved, I know it isn't easy but they all just sit there. Happy with everything else.

Lancaster House has a professional and pleasant atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, clean welcoming environment, nice outdoor areas, safe and secure, bright clean rooms. The staff look after the residents but at the same time allow them some degree of self-sufficiency.
