The management and staff are very caring and supportive, and this enabled me to regain my confidence to return to independent living. Thank you to everyone for looking after me so well.
Thank you for your review. We all hope you are getting on well at home. Take care of yourself.
I have had 30 years experience of working in the NHS nursing side and can appreciate the difficulties in this work.
It's a joy to have you at our home, thank you for your review.
I think the care home is better now than it was when my dad first came in. There are more things going on and we are told more about the relatives wellbeing. They were very good to my dad and us in the last few days of his life.
Thank you for your review. We do try our very hardest as a team to provide the very best of care to our residents.
The care our mother received was excellent! Friendly, caring and dignified. Can't fault the home it is homely and the setting is lovely. The food is good. Mum had Alzheimer's but she loved sitting looking at the trees and would say how 'lovely it is here'.
Thank you very much for your review. I will pass your lovely comments onto the team.
The Manor House was amazing with my mum from day one. They made her feel part of their family and I also felt included! Mum's dementia became better as she was occupied with daily activities and outings. The food was home-cooked and plentiful. The staff were kind and attentive. They looked after mum during her final days showing respect and care, I will always be grateful to all the staff. I cannot recommend The Manor House highly enough. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this review. We continue to miss Mum and your visits. Do pop in and see us when we are back to some form of normality, I know Mum's friends would love to see you.
My mother has been a resident at The Manor House since September 2019 and has settled well. All the staff are very professional and very caring. The home is very clean and the food very good. The home is a credit to the manager, deputy manager and all their staff. I would definately recommend this home.
What lovely words, thank you. We love having your Mum here with us.
In my opinion, this care home is exceptional!
Thank you for your wonderful review. It is a pleasure to have your lovely mum as part of our Manor House family.
My wife has been in The Manor House for 12 months. I visit each day and like my wife I am greeted with a smile and chat each visit. We cannot fault the management or staff, even at times when they are below staffing levels. The home and grounds match the staff, open, bright and relaxing. Full marks what more can I say.
Thank you for your review. It's a pleasure to have your wife with us and also to see you on a daily basis. I'm very pleased you are happy.
Mum lived contentedly at The Manor House for five years up to her death in January 2020. She had increasingly advanced dementia but has always been happy and very well cared for by the lovely staff. The family could not have asked for better care for our Mum.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your Mum is very much missed by all the team here at The Manor House. Her smile will be remembered forever.
It's the staff who make this care home what it is, a cheerful, caring and comfortable place to be. They work seamlessly as a team, often going the extra mile to ensure the needs and wishes of individual residents are met. My mother particularly enjoyed the home-cooked food, and there's a good range of activities, well thought out. I cannot praise this home highly enough. The care is outstanding!
Thank you for your kind words. The team here are a credit to the industry.
My recently deceased Mother spent the last 11 months or so of her life at The Manor House. Although she went in for respite care, which they were kind enough to offer, she decided to stay there. It was clear that she really enjoyed the three meals a day and she repeatedly told me the staff were lovely. From my point of view, I knew that for the first time in ages, she was clean, well-fed, well cared for and that I had no worries about her falling at night or needing help when I went away. It changed both our lives for the better and I would recommend it as a course to anyone and would recommend this home in particular. I consider we were very fortunate to have found it.
Thank you for such a lovely review. Your Mum was such a pleasure to have at our home and she is very much missed. All the staff enjoyed looking after her and I know the kitchen staff miss her a great deal as she really loved seeing them and enjoying the food.
Mum has been in the home for one and a half years now and is quite happy and content. She is looked after extremely well and gets on with the carers very well. Her room is pleasant and she loves to sit out in the lovely gardens. She also enjoys the daily entertainment and the company. It's lovely to know she is so well looked after and is happy.
Thank you for this lovely review. I am very happy your Mum has settled with us and is contented.
My mother was only at The Manor House for the last 4 months of her life but the staff did everything they could do make those 4 months as pleasurable and as safe as possible. The home itself and the grounds are immaculate. There is a good staff to resident ratio which is a very important factor in guaranteeing a good level of care. All the staff try to engage with the residents on a personal level and respond to their requests. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
It was a pleasure to have Mum here. Thank you so much for your kind words, I will pass your review onto the whole team.
Mum struggled with the idea of going into a care home but the staff were wonderful in their efforts to win her over. Their persistence and encouragement were second to none. Knowing that mum has the best possible quality of life in her autumn years was priceless to her family. She was encouraged to take part in all activities, she enjoyed the fantastic food and her dignity and privacy was respected. Cannot recommend the home and staff highly enough.
Thank you for your kind words.
I and my family and mothers close friend were always made to feel very welcome.
The Manor House and it's staff are indeed a credit to the industry.
We will miss seeing her friends and family and also helping her to have her little trips ‘outside’.
Thank you for saying such lovely words about the team - I will certainly pass this on to everyone.
The professional care and great kindness of all the staff are outstanding. I have always been made most welcome and my friend found a real 'home' at The Manor House until her recent death.
It was a complete joy and privilege to look after your dear friend. She is missed by all. Thank you for your kind words.
My mum resided here for over 2 1/2 years. During that time she experienced wonderful care. The staff always treated her with respect, dignity and love and kindness. She looked upon the home as her home and staff were more like family. She was very happy there and passed away peacefully on 2nd August 2018. This home and the staff are a credit to the industry.
The upstairs team miss your Mum very much, was a pleasure to care for her. Thank you for your kind words.
Have just returned home from my fifth two-week stay at The Manor House and once again have been treated with friendship and as one of the family. On each occasion, the rooms have been clean and comfortable and suited to a wheelchair user. The food on each occasion could not be faulted. Hope I shall be going there again.
It is always a pleasure to have you stay with us. Hope to see you again soon.
The care from staff and particularly from the management who always make me feel welcome, which always is for me, who is without any family, particularly comforting.
The staff are a lovely bunch and they always go the extra mile to ensure she is happy and comfortable. The grounds of the home are stunning and during the summer, there is no better place to be than outside in the beautifully kept gardens.
I would, without a doubt, 100% recommend the Manor House to anyone who is looking for residential care facilities in the North Walsham area.

“The overall environment in the home is marvellous – it’s perfect for people who have lived in North Norfolk their whole lives, offering a rural setting. There is a real sense of happiness at the home and great team spirit!”

I have worked at The Manor House for more than 25 years and there is a family feel here which extends to the residents and staff. We fully support the team and work closely together to help each other. It's a nice place to work with lovely surroundings. Paula, the manager, always makes a point of thanking the staff every day so they do feel appreciated.

I have worked at the home for 6 years, working one day a week as a Care Assistant. After almost 24 years working as a Senior Medical Secretary, I have joined the home as Administrator. Already having the knowledge of the home has been a huge advantage in starting my role as Administrator. I have a close working relationship with the Home Manager.

“My favourite part of my day is talking to the residents and making sure they are happy with the menu and offering them lots of choices. I love getting positive feedback from the residents and staff. My recent promotion to head chef took me out of my comfort zone but I have supportive colleagues who I can get advice, support and help from.”

John plays a vital role at the home making sure everyone is safe. A number audits, inspections and reports need to be completed daily, weekly, monthly. John is a well respected member of the team.

I am medication trained, and I take pride in being a loyal member of my team. I have an excellent rapport with all of the residents, and I work hard to maintain that relationship. I am grateful to be a well-respected member of the team, and I strive to continue earning that respect every day.

I have been working at the home for over 20 years, and I am the most dedicated and loyal member of the team. I love my job because I get to make a difference every day. I am respected by all my colleagues.

With over 35 years of experience, I hold NVQ Health and Social Care levels 2 and 3, plus Safe Handling of Medication level 2. I feel privileged to look after our residents, making them laugh and feel well cared for. We strive to make them feel at home.

I am responsible for the night care of our residents. I lead a small, loyal night team and supervise their work. I am responsible for writing all the nighttime care plans and monitoring the records in terms of daily fluid intake.

Being an activities coordinator is a fantastic role. I love art and crafts, music and nature. So, arranging and delivering a variety of activities to our residents, seeing the smiles and enjoyment it brings and their achievements in taking part, gives me a great sense of satisfaction.

I enjoy keeping the home clean, tidy, and organised because it's such a beautiful place. I enrich residents' lives with my laughter and singing.
