Our dad moved into Westfields the week covid lockdown was declared - we were very concerned about how he would cope with the new surroundings after being in hospital for some weeks but of course, the family could not visit him. We were very pleased with the care he received at that time and...
Our dad moved into Westfields the week covid lockdown was declared - we were very concerned about how he would cope with the new surroundings after being in hospital for some weeks but of course, the family could not visit him. We were very pleased with the care he received at that time and eventually, we were able to see him regularly. He has been very well looked after and all the staff take great care of him, encouraging him to participate in a variety of activities. He loves the food! We are glad we made the decision to move him to Westfields at such a difficult time in March 2020.

We were faced with the need to find a care home for a 92-year-old lady at the height of the Covid pandemic - a very difficult time for such a decision. After a thorough investigation we chose Westfields, partly because accommodation was available, but also because of its outstanding CQC rating, and have never had cause to regret that decision. Staff have always been helpful and kind, the food has been good and general conditions are always clean and welcoming.

We cannot rate the manager high enough, what a caring, compassionate manager coupled with being a strong resilient leader. He and his wonderful staff dealt with our nan in a way the family couldn't. Westfields is very well-equipped, clean and homely. Nan said the food is brilliant.

I cannot praise the staff at Westfields highly enough. My Mum has had a really difficult year and came out of hospital after four months feeling very anxious and disorientated, and too vulnerable to continue living at home. My Dad was already in a Norse Care home and it was such a positive experience for him that I was very happy that a place was available for Mum at Westfields. The manager and staff supported me through the process of moving here as I live many miles away and answered all my concerns, however small.
Mum has a lovely bright room, and the communal areas look modern and comfortable, with everything kept spotlessly clean.
All the staff have been welcoming and caring, helping mum to settle in at her own pace so that by Christmas she was able to join in and enjoy the festivities!

My father became very frail and weak after suffering from shingles. He lived alone with carers going into the house.
We phoned several care homes and we got a very positive response from the Westfields manager immediately.

My sister and I went to have a look the same day, we were really impressed with the way in which our questions were answered and the comprehensive tour of the facilities.
We were shown a lovely bright room with its own facilities and we both agreed this would be just right for him.
He was admitted very quickly as he needed to be looked after immediately.
A week on he's so much better, but planning on staying in the home permanently.

My dad was at Westfields in the last few months of his life. He was made to feel very welcome and settled in well. He loved the food and enjoyed a laugh with the staff and other residents. They took him on days out and he enjoyed being taken to the garden for some fresh air and an ice cream.
Overall, the care given to him was excellent and I would highly recommend Westfields.

My mother-in-law came to this care home in December 2021 until her death this past week.
She enjoyed living here and settled in quickly, she made friends with many of the other residents and enjoyed joining in with the various activities. Although she didn't eat a great deal, the food was appetising and she was offered alternatives and smaller portions. She didn't sleep all that well in her bed and staff would often find her sitting in her chair halfway through the night, she was offered a hot drink with blankets/cushions to make it comfortable for her to rest. She did have a new reclining chair which she used during her final weeks.
I was completely happy with the care she received and the standard of the home, it was clean and everyone was friendly and had her comfort and care in mind at all times.
Myself and family members stayed during her last few days and we were offered refreshments and food which was appreciated.

I was most uncomfortable. I was given a buzzer when I needed help or to go to the toilet. Answered eventually and was told I would get attention in a minute, and after another 15 minutes I rang the buzzer again. This happened so many times. I was waiting to go to the toilet for 50 minutes. One morning I waited 1 hour 30 minutes. After waking at 6.30 am it’s not on.
Most of the girls and guys were lovely. But there was the odd one who had me in tears with her arrogance.

I was told by the staff in the community hospital that I was being sent into a care home without much of a choice which is why I ended up in Westfields. However,...
I was admitted to the hospital for ill health and ended up being placed into a cottage hospital. The experience I received was dreadful. I was told by the staff in the community hospital that I was being sent into a care home without much of a choice which is why I ended up in Westfields. However, I was so surprised to find out how very happy I would be as soon as I settled in. I was made welcome by both staff and the other residents. From the management to the cleaning staff they all go above and beyond and you couldn't ask for more caring people. The staff and the others that live here provide me with the companionship that I need. I was absolutely amazed when I moved into Westfields and never even dreamt or thought of living in a residential home but it turned out to be the best move I made at this point in my life which is why I made the choice to stay here. I am so grateful for Westfields and feel that the home has given me a new lease of life that I never knew I needed.

My mother-in-law has now been a resident here for just over a month. I have been impressed with the manager and staff from our initial enquiry into her moving into the home, to her moving and settling in.
On our first visit to the home, the manager and staff were warm and welcoming. We were shown around by the manager, who informed us of the routines, events and activities put on by the staff. All our questions were answered comprehensively. A home visit from the manager to meet Mum and answer her questions helped her prepare for this change in her life. Now she has settled in and is happy. She has been made to feel welcome and is really pleased with the way the staff have helped her make this adjustment in her life. She has made friends and with the encouragement of the staff has taken part in activities, something my wife and I struggled to get her to do! I cannot praise the whole team at Westfields enough. Outstanding care home.

My mother is so well looked after here, all staff so friendly and helpful. I live over an hour away and rely on public transport to visit and it’s great that I can have lunch with my mum when I am there.
We are all kept up to date on her health and any issues.

What a wonderful place with amazing staff, who genuinely care. Mum went for respite care and loved it so much, decided to stay. Only wish I was 65 so I could stay there too. Cannot praise the staff highly enough. So grateful that Mum is not only safe but so happy.

Grandad had been a resident for the last 3.5 years. In July, he took a turn for the worst and was placed on end of life care. I can not praise everyone at Westfields enough, he was so well taken care of and looked after like he was one of their own family members. He was treated with dignity right up until he passed away and even afterwards. He was very happy at Westfields and we all took comfort in the fact that he was safe and well looked after.

My Dad had a wonderful 3 years at Westfields. It has an excellent management and staff team. Nothing was ever too much trouble for either him or the family. My Dad had a wonderful 3 years at Westfields. It has an excellent management and staff team. Nothing was ever too much trouble for either him or the family. He had so much fun and the day to day living was kept varied and fun-even with Covid! Westfield has done an amazing job at keeping Covid out of the home and the dedication and care are absolutely of the highest standard. Dad absolutely loved his time living at Westfields. Constantly said how wonderful everyone was. When his health deteriorated we were kept informed and shown immense compassion. Dad was looked after with the highest level of care, love and dignity and we will always feel eternally grateful for the Westfields team for going the extra mile for Dad and our family during his very sad passing. I highly recommend Westfields to everyone. Thank you Westfields- we miss not seeing you all too!
