Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Mum moved into Mills Meadow Care Home at the beginning of 2026 and has settled in well. The care is great and the staff all seem very friendly and helpful and genuinely caring and they keep family members regularly updated. Mum enjoys taking part in the daily activities and these have been great for her socialisation as she had become isolated at home due to health and mobility issues. She has made some friends in the home. The food is also very good - Mum has some complicated dietary needs and the home has been great at catering for these. The home has a very welcoming environment and is always clean and tidy whenever we visit.

Dad arrived after a prolonged hospital stay. He was in a terrible state, but within 24 hours the staff had treated him with so much dignity and care that we knew immediately it was the right place for him . This amazing level of care continued over Dad's stay.
Dad developed very challenging behaviour, inspite of this we were supported by the staff who looked after Dad with enormous respect. All his needs were addressed and he managed two years of very comfortable life in his new home.
Dad died in 2026 and the Care we received as a family and to him, was exemplary, particular during his final days. I cannot recommend Mills Meadow enough.Special thanks to Liz Stuart Alice Su Stephanie Brendan Val Dhanesh Shanaka Roo Ray and everyone else who loved Dad so much.

Celia arrived at Mills Meadow aged 100 to convalesce after 8 weeks in hospital. She was looked after with love, kindness and great patience. The staff were all lovely. Sadly she died very peacefully after just over 2 weeks, tenderly attended to by mum's carers who could not have been kinder.

We are so grateful that we got our mum into this home. She certainly had a love, hate relationship with being here but I believe that was the dementia. We knew she was safe and we couldn't thank everyone enough for all that they did for her. The garden space was certainly a wonderful sanctuary for mum and myself when I visited. We could not fault the home Mills Meadow nothing was a problem, mum was cared for if she needed anything she asked and received. 3 good meals a day, drinks when she needed, her room was well organised and well equipped wet room, tv in her room, electric bed. We could not have been happier all round. Although we originally thought what a lot of money a week, but in reality well and truly worth every penny.

Mum then came into the actual home at Mills Meadow, sadly only for 2 days, as she passed away very quickly. During the 2 days that mum was there, the kindness and compassion that was shown to her was beyond anything we had expected. Every member of staff, from the ladies in the reception, through to the overnight care team, were just so caring. Not only for mum but also for us relatives too. Nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond to make sure mum was comfortable, and well cared for right to the end. Amazing team of people.

Building a further understanding of the needs of my aunt, management organised a transfer to another care home (Hartismere Place) for further respite care closer to her own home and friends. My favourite part of the day is spending time with our residents and colleagues first thing in the morning.
