Funding & Fees

Weekly Charges per Person

Type of carePermanentRespite
Residential Care£1,400 - £1,600£1,200 - £1,350
FEES
The Home charges the current rate of fees paid by the relevant placing social/ health services. For more details about fees and the methods for paying them, please see our separate Terms and Conditions of Residency (and Financial Agreement for Self-Funders).
Residents contributions to fees (or the full amount for some who self-fund) are usually collected by four weekly standing order. The fees are reviewed each year and usually change (subject to government guidance) each April.
OUR CURRENT FEE LEVELS ARE BETWEEN
£1400 -1500 PER PERSON PER WEEK
£ 1500-£ 1600 PER WEEK FOR A DOUBLE ROOM Single occupancy
Most people are eligible for financial assistance with their fees. This can be explained in detail by the relevant Social/ Health Services Department, but typically consists of a payment from Social Services
according to their assessments of their needs, with the remainder paid by you from your benefits or from your family
Other people have more than the “minimum level of savings” (set each year by the government) which leads to them having to pay the full care home fee (they become “self-funding”). For these people the NHS help by making a small contribution to fees.

Should your circumstances change, and you can no longer meet the full level of fees, Social Services will be contacted to assess your needs which usually culminates in them paying a finite amount, the outstanding balance being met by your family.

I have visited Montana Care Home a few times and each time I haven't wanted to leave. It is such a warm and welcoming environment and the sisters and other members of staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The residents are given the most amazing level of care and compassion and the same is extended to friends and family. All the residents are treated with respect, dignity and kindness and it is so wonderful to see how happy the residents are at Montana!

I find that Montana Care Home is the best place for my friend to be. The facilities are top quality and kept up to speed. Regular outings in the community are taken and all care is on hand during these times. My friend is happy there which is the main thing for me.

I stayed for one week for last year. I was very pleased with the home. Sisters are very kind. I observed sisters look after all elder people, giving care and love. Food is excellent as is the standard of care. Sister superior, manager and other sisters are very nice and kind.

My mother has been a resident at Montana Care Home for nearly five years. Being a smaller setting is ideal. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The care provided is excellent. My mother is happy and feels safe and well looked after.

This is a very good care home where I have complete trust in the staff. Excellent management keeping me well-informed with pictures etc.

More group activities would benefit my mum who finds it hard to entertain herself.

Montana Care Home is a brilliant facility. I was initially introduced to it when my parents became residents, their care was second to none. Although no longer with us, it's through them I have been able to forge friendships with the other residents and staff alike. It's always an excellent experience when I visit. Everyone is well looked and cared for. There is a lovely warm atmosphere and it truly is a home from home.

My mother has recently become a resident of Montana and has been extremely happy. Her care needs are quite high, and she has received nothing but kindness there, with a very professional care service.

The feeling within Montana is friendly and residents are encouraged to be as active as possible and to get together for activities and meals and the result is a very happy environment. My siblings and I also receive regular updates from the home. They provide information whenever anything needs doing or there is any medical issue. This has helped us to be confident that our Mother is well looked after and cared for.

I've visited Montana often over the last few years. The food is fantastic, can't fault the effort the cook goes to. The care and helpfulness were outstanding, the sisters could not be more kind, caring, and compassionate with the residents. Sister Superior and Manager is second to none on leadership for sisters and staff.

Montana Care Home has in my view always been an excellent facility. I had the pleasure of working there back in 1990, and the care and compassion of the sisters were second to none. My dear friend now resides there, and she is happy, content and well cared for. She has actually improved mentally, as she has made friends and is less insolated, also she is physically fitter as she has good regular food. All round stimulation. I have recommended Montana to several people over the years and they have all been very happy living there.

I enjoy conversations with the residents, staff and sisters. General conversations involve daily experiences and sometimes tea parties, and occasional get-togethers with music.

There was a day recently with dancing and music. They have visits from musicians from outside coming to entertain and make for a very happy occasion.

This facility is first class, very clean, cheerful, caring, safe and friendly. The manager runs a very efficient, caring and tight ship. The residents are happy and often chatty. The facility is situated in a pretty, pastoral and peaceful setting, and sports an 800-year-old oak tree. I have been a few times to visit my friend's mum and am always impressed by the facility.
