I am more than grateful to the wonderful carers that look after my husband. He was placed on end of life care in January 2026.
The staff are kind and caring, keeping him comfortable. I am always informed of any medical issues. My husband really enjoys the meals. The chefs have been excellent at providing suitable food for him.

The manager, Emma, is very approachable and is always supportive.

My mum has been a resident of Nayland House for a few months new and I can honestly say that her care has been exceptional. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. The food is excellent. Mum is very happy here. I personally am pleased with the constant updates form the staff on mums welfare and doctor visits/district nurse. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is potentially looking for a residential home for a loved one.

As a family we cannot thank or praise Nayland House more for the exemplary care it provides for my mother. She has severe Vascular Dementia, and as a family we made the heartbreaking decision 3.5 years ago that her needs were too great to be met safely at home. We had heard nothing but positive things about Nayland House, and true to its name we remain extremely impressed at the exceptional level of care it provides. Clinical and management staff are polite, respectful and keep us fully informed about developments including weekly medical reviews. We have complete confidence that my mother is being looked after by the best possible team. We see firsthand when we visit her how happy she is, and how much she is looked after. I am a practising GP myself so am fully aware of the holistic needs required to look after complex residents such as my mother. However, I would not hesitate to recommend the Nayland House to anyone looking for a nurturing, supportive and loving home.

We just wanted to say since our father has been at Nayland House we do appreciate the care you offer. The line manager has been such a kind emotional support to us as a family- along with all the other carers who look after him. An example would be today the carers had him all organised dressed and ready for his dental visit which supported this to go smoothly and supported us with the social work meeting too. The social worker was really impressed with his care plan which we hope will support his longer-term stay from respite. Kind regards from all the family.

My mother died this week, after over two years in Nayland House. We have reflected on the experience and how lucky we feel to have found this care home. Mum was not well for a while after her arrival, dementia linked to Parkinson's made her afraid and very volatile. Nayland was calm and confident and worked with the GP to find a way through. From then on Mum was happy. She socialised at meal times with a small group who became friends. She welcomed visitors but was happy when we left as well. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy visits without any feeling that we had to be protective. The team at Nayland is most unusual, they are all warm and loving, shedding tears when Mum died. The home feels calm and Mum's room was particularly airy and light. We are incredibly grateful for the loving, totally professional and expert support that gave Mum two surprisingly happy years.

My mum was at Nayland House for 20 months in the dementia unit. I visited her twice a week, every time finding her content and happy. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Always keeping me informed of any issues with Mum. Finding it very hard not to worry about Mum, the lovely staff always gave me confidence that she was safe and very well cared for. The home is light, bright, very clean and comfortable. Each room is a good size and the communal rooms are always full of residents. I was quite often there when lunch was served, which always looked and smelled lovely.
