My mum has really improved since she has been here she is very happy we are very happy with the standard of care she receives. She had a long term condition before she came here that has only subsided since she has lived here I couldn't speak higher of all the staff I feel that they all really care for her so we are all very happy. Thankyou team.

Mother in law has been in Ivybank for about 18 months and is well looked after. The staff in the home know her very well and understand her needs. There are opportunities for enrichment activities, run by both internal staff and external entertainers which she loves. Feels like a great big family and she is very happy here.

My mum entered the care home on 15/09/25. All the staff made my mum and the family who were present feel very welcome. The staff quickly got to know my mum's needs and have been excellent. They are always present and ready to help. The activities are excellent with all residents present and fully included. The residents are always treated with respect.

Very impressed with the quality of the building and staff. Very good food, comfortable rooms, lots of attention to detail. Mended fittings, some disruption due to redecoration. Wife is slow to settle, but the staff are patient. Very good attention to medication.

Ivybank Care Home is the home I selected for my father. I was interested in a carehome which was well run, good management, good team with lots of services and activities. Ivybank provides all this. Most importantly Ivybank team really care about the residents and I have seen the family atmosphere they create. My father loves it here and is well cared for. I definitely made the right choice.

Mum has enjoyed her stay here and since she became unwell, manager & staff hae been amazing. Under new management the home has improved. Mum used to love going out on minibus which helped to break up the day and change of scenery.

All staff have been so helpful, courteous, polite, professional and very supportive during my mother-in-law's transition from her own home following a short spell in hospital. Her room in the Ivy Bank is bright and homely, with everything she needs within easy reach or easily fetched by the staff. All the staff are attentive and caring to my mother-in-law and to any family visiting. Thank you for providing such homely and reassuring accommodation.

With no exaggeration, I cannot fault the welcome, care and understanding of all staff at Ivybank Care Home. A warm welcome was couple with strong professionalism.

The manager was keen to stress the important of a 'safe discharge' from hospital for my mother-in-law; which was so important. His sense of humour put us at ease! Great team.

Mum first went into Ivybank House for some respite care in March. From the beginning we have been so impressed with all the staff, they can't do enough to help and keep us all informed with how Mum is doing . She was quite lonely at home, but is really enjoying being a part of the Ivybank community, chatting with the residents and staff and joining in all the activities. We've seen her smiling more since she's been at Ivybank than for a long time and she seems to be genuinely enjoying herself. She celebrated her birthday shortly after she arrived and the staff went out of their way to celebrate. She enjoys the trips out in the minibus and walking in the garden, there have been some wonderful activities and the staff do their best to make sure everyone is involved. When we come to visit we are made so welcome. This is Mums first experience of residential care, but we couldn't have picked a better place. We would highly recommend Ivybank, thanks so much for all your care.

My father in law looks clean and well presented everyday. He is more than happy and content and wishes to stay, saying "I am happy here, its peaceful". I have no concerns about his welfare at all and know that he is well cared for and engaging in activities and conversations, which he hasn't done for so long, prior to his stay at Ivybank.

Mum moved into Ivy Bank from another town after she broke her hip and was no longer able to look after herself in the retirement flat. Four months later she is really happy at Ivy Bank. From the beginning, when my husband and I set out to find a care home, Ivy Bank stood out as having friendly, caring staff and a homely and welcoming feel. Everyone really supported mum during the transition period. She really loves her room, which staff helped us make her own. She says, "It feels really safe here. All the staff are so caring and helpful. It's homely, warm, the meals are delicious and I love joining in the activities. We all have a great laugh." Everyone in the care home made her 90th birthday a really special occasion with a beautiful cake and flowers. She enjoyed having her room decorated and all the fuss. We visit mum every few days and the fabulous staff always have an update for us, as well as a welcoming smile.

Mum is so happy at Ivybank, she transferred from another care home in another part of the country and is so pleased she did so. Mum says 'the staff have a sense of humour and cannot do enough for me'.

As a family member, I always find the staff welcoming and approachable even when they are incredibly busy - whether you are a resident or family member, you can see the Ivybank team working hard to make you feel part of the Ivybank community.

Mum was a resident at Ivy Bank for approximately 13 years, and throughout that time we were extremely happy with the care which was provided. From day one mum felt at home, and was relaxed in the lovely surroundings, and enjoying the variety of meals and homemade cakes! Ivy Bank has a lovely, welcoming ethos, and the staff soon felt like part of our extended family. The staff were very caring, and always had a smile and kind words for mum. They would go above and beyond to ensure that everything was just perfect for her. I don't believe that we could have found a better place for mum to spend her final years. Sadly, mum passed away just 4 weeks before her 100th birthday, and the staff were amazingly supportive to us during her final days. Plans had been in place to celebrate her birthday, and Ivy Bank very kindly invited us to attend a celebration tea with them on that date, which was so special and will always be remembered fondly by her family.
