My mother was a resident at Landscore House for over five years. We could not have asked for her to be anywhere better. She was so loved, well-cared for as part of the 'Landscore Family' The owner's show so much care and love to the residents and also the family. We were always made welcome, through
the pandemic even though we could not see Mum at times. We knew she was safe, loved and cared for. It was beyond price. We think Mum was with us for longer as she was so well cared for there, even though very frail, she was tempted daily with wonderful home cooked food and spoilt by them. We were so lucky that Mum was able to go to Landscore. It is a lovely home not too large, it feels homely and has a wonderful day living room, a conservatory where you overlook the town to the sea. Mum passed away in October in their care she was looked after by them until the end. Thank you so much to the owners and the wonderful team there

My mother was a resident at Landscore House, for a period of approximately two years up until her death in May 2021.
Her care was exemplary during her time there. Landscore is a friendly home with a family feel. She was treated kindly and always with dignity by the staff. She enjoyed delicious home-cooked
meals.
From the start of the Covid Pandemic, the owners went above and beyond to do their utmost to keep the home protected from Covid.
The owner would give lifts to and from the home to staff and to myself as a visitor, where possible, to avoid people entering the home to have used public transport.
I feel deep gratitude for the end of life care my mum received. The owner was ceaseless in attending my mother with a sense of ease that afforded her a sense of peace I believe. At the end of her life, she was not left alone but someone was with her holding her hand pretty much 24/7.
I felt supported by staff at this sad time. My family are indebted to Landscore.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
