Good afternoon, Thank you so much for sharing this very honest account of your experience when faced with the situation where your wife needed to move into a care home. Every year / day thousands of people experience the same feelings of anxiety when their personal circumstances change such that they or a loved on need the help and support that is provided in a 24 hour residential care setting. I speak to lots of residents and their loved ones in our care homes and many tell me of very similar circumstances - in particular the one where they say 'we should not have worried, I / my loved one is so much happier and healthier now he / she is here...' In all cases this successful transition is 90% plus down to the hard work, dedication and professionalism of care teams - and our team at The Manor are no exception to that rule. Good morning Mathew, thank you for leaving this really positive feedback with regards to your experience, and that of your friend, with the care team and care home at The Manor in Exminster. I note the comment ref 'only allowed to visit once per week' - that is likely a Covid 19 precaution. All of our residents at The Manor will be offered their Spring Covid 19 booster next week. Three weeks after that, in order for the vaccine to take full effect, we will be greatly relaxing visiting restrictions - as well as removing the need to wear face masks in the home.
