The staff at Astor Hall are absolutely amazing, caring, happy people and as a result, the residents are happy and well cared for. The staff at Astor Hall are absolutely amazing, caring, happy people and as a result, the residents are happy and well cared for. The home has 2 lovely cats and families are encouraged to bring residents pets to visit. There are no restrictions on visiting, you will be made welcome any time, day or night. Astor Hall is incredibly well run by Mandy the manager, doing a brilliant job, with her deputy Hayley who is the life and soul of the establishment, Michelle, who takes the helm at the weekends, Linda and Helena who have worked there for 40 and 25 years respectively and the rest of the crew, too many to mention individually for fear of missing someone out. Apart from the obligatory dining and TV rooms, where residents and visitors alike are encouraged to mix socially, there is a very nice outside covered space where you can chose to sit in the sunshine or in the shade, overlooking the rose garden which is very well cared for by Andrew the gardener.
