All staff are friendly, welcoming and a pleasure to be around. Mum loves it. Lots of activities to do. Lovely comfortable, friendly care home. Thank you from the whole family. A pleasure to visit.

During her stay she was supported to mobilise safely, the group activities offered supported her core strength and coordination whilst having fun and socialising which was great to see. Medical needs were dealt with immediately and relayed to family. The residents we met appeared to be settled and content which gave us reassurance. Mum is happy to return for respite care again in the future.

Avondene is quite simply the very best place for my loved one.

My mum has been a resident at Avondene since February 2023. From day one the care and attention she has had has been exceptional. She is really happy living there and is very comfortable in her room, which has a sunny outlook and view. Since my mum has been there she has made good friends with all of the staff and other residents. All of her family are very pleased with the care she is getting from a very professional and caring team.

Avondene was home for my mother for nearly six years. During her time at Avondene she was cared and looked after extremely well. My mother couldn't have wished for a better place to have spent her last years. The staff were and are so caring and attentive. Mum made so many friendships with the wonderful staff. Thank you for your compassion keep up the good work.

My mum went into this care home for respite care in March, she received a very warm welcome when I wheeled her through the door, which as well as helping Mum to feel welcomed, put my mind at ease. Mum settled in well and quickly, I was allowed to visit whenever I liked, always with a cup of tea and the staff treated Mum like their own. Staff had time to talk to Mum, made her laugh, painted her nails, and looked out for her at all times. The manager phoned me whenever she needed to confirm something, always had Mum's best interests at heart, and chased professionals when she felt things weren't happening as they should. Mum wasn't in the home for too long as she had advanced cancer, during the last few days of her life they treated her with dignity, care, and respect for which I was very grateful.

All in all, a great choice as Mum is extremely happy.

My Mum has been a resident of Avondene for 11 years and received such wonderful loving care through difficult and worrying times. So much so she has reached her 100th birthday thanks to the kind, professional and understanding way the entire staff work together to give all residents their 101% attention to their needs. I am so grateful to the team making Mum one of their family, nothing is too much trouble.

Avondene staff are truly wonderful. The Jubilee afternoon they presented for residents and their visitors was a credit to them all. As guests, we were waited on with lovely home-cooked food and cakes and glasses of Prosecco, wine, tea, and coffee. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming after so long with Covid restrictions. You are a brilliant team who has the care and welfare of your residents in your hearts. My mum who is a resident with you has quoted "I'm so glad I came to Avondene, I am looked after so well by such lovely staff". Thank you all.
