Avondene provides excellent care and is a very clean and well run home. The home provides a very personal service which makes it feel like a family unit and this is a noted difference from other homes.
The staff are extremely caring and go above & beyond to treat their residents respectfully and as
individuals.
The extensive range of weekly activities provided is truly commendable. & shows how the home endeavours & suceeds in providing entertainment & stimulation.
I am particularly impressed also by the manager's communication & that of her wonderful team.
There are regular residents' meetings and always a monthly informative newsletter.
Cleanliness is excellent, rooms always fresh and tidy. Personal care is always maintained, hairdresser, chiropody services regularly available.
Accompanied medical appointments provide great peace of mind, knowing when I'm not available, my loved one is in very capable hands.
Avondene is quite simply the very best place for my loved one.

Excellent managerial team supported by excellent care staff.
Warm and friendly environment, supporting residents to enjoy life lots of attention and activities, such as quizzes, bingo playing board games outings.
Mum has improved both physically and cognitively and enjoys the company of the other
residents.
Excellent food choice, each day different menu to choose from.

My mum has been a resident at Avondene since February 2023. From day one the care and attention she has had has been exceptional. She is really happy living there and is very comfortable in her room, which has a sunny outlook and view. Since my mum has been there she has made good friends with all of
the staff and other residents. All of her family are very pleased with the care she is getting from a very professional and caring team.

Avondene was home for my mother for nearly six years. During her time at Avondene she was cared and looked after extremely well. My mother couldn't have wished for a better place to have spent her last years. The staff were and are so caring and attentive. Mum made so many friendships with the wonderful
staff. Thank you for your compassion keep up the good work.

My mum went into this care home for respite care in March, she received a very warm welcome when I wheeled her through the door, which as well as helping Mum to feel welcomed, put my mind at ease. Mum settled in well and quickly, I was allowed to visit whenever I liked, always with a cup of tea and
the staff treated Mum like their own. Staff had time to talk to Mum, made her laugh, painted her nails, and looked out for her at all times. The manager phoned me whenever she needed to confirm something, always had Mum's best interests at heart, and chased professionals when she felt things weren't happening as they should. Mum wasn't in the home for too long as she had advanced cancer, during the last few days of her life they treated her with dignity, care, and respect for which I was very grateful.

Mum has been in Avondene since March after coming out of hospital after a fall.
The care she has received has been exceptional. All the staff are lovely, kind and very caring - we could not ask for more.
We had a lovely Jubilee afternoon party, and the resident's families were all invited.
They
have quizzes, entertainment and exercises that she absolutely loves.
All in all, a great choice as Mum is extremely happy.

My Mum has been a resident of Avondene for 11 years and received such wonderful loving care through difficult and worrying times. So much so she has reached her 100th birthday thanks to the kind, professional and understanding way the entire staff work together to give all residents their 101% attention
to their needs. I am so grateful to the team making Mum one of their family, nothing is too much trouble.

Avondene staff are truly wonderful. The Jubilee afternoon they presented for residents and their visitors was a credit to them all. As guests, we were waited on with lovely home-cooked food and cakes and glasses of Prosecco, wine, tea, and coffee. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming after so long
with Covid restrictions. You are a brilliant team who has the care and welfare of your residents in your hearts. My mum who is a resident with you has quoted "I'm so glad I came to Avondene, I am looked after so well by such lovely staff". Thank you all.
