Avondene provides excellent care and is a very clean and well run home. The home provides a very personal service which makes it feel like a family unit and this is a noted difference from other homes.
The staff are extremely caring and go above & beyond to treat their residents respectfully and as
individuals.
The extensive range of weekly activities provided is truly commendable. & shows how the home endeavours & suceeds in providing entertainment & stimulation.
I am particularly impressed also by the manager's communication & that of her wonderful team.
There are regular residents' meetings and always a monthly informative newsletter.
Cleanliness is excellent, rooms always fresh and tidy. Personal care is always maintained, hairdresser, chiropody services regularly available.
Accompanied medical appointments provide great peace of mind, knowing when I'm not available, my loved one is in very capable hands.
Avondene is quite simply the very best place for my loved one.

Excellent care home. All the staff made Silverways a safe, warm and caring environment for my father. It is not the most modern / plush home but this is not what counts - it is the staff, entertainment, food and the overall welcoming feeling of the home. We were delighted my father lived at Silverways
- he was really comfortable and happy. I cannot recommend it highly enough

My mother has lived in Silverways Nursing Home for almost 2 years.
She has been loved and respected throughout her stay. The staff are so caring and considerate and the meals are 1st class.
It's a bright, beautifully spacious home and kept immaculately clean daily and welcoming to all visitors.
I
completely recommend Silverways to anyone with an ailing parent or family member.
They will be cared for with the utmost respect amd dedication.

We were so glad we chose Silverways for my brother's end-of-life care and so was he. He loved his room and the attention and care from the staff, nothing was ever too much trouble. The establishment has had a wonderful refurbishment and the facilities could not be better. The focus is on care rather
than profit and that makes a huge difference.

My first visit was to see my Aunt who is a resident. I took my Dad as he is also in a home (which is the best in our area and has the highest recommendations). My first impression was how organised, efficient, friendly, and fond the entire establishment was. My Dad after 3 subserve visits has relocated
here and loved it (I'm delighted to be able to say!). Much more space and room than his previous home and cheaper too. Highly recommend.

My Mother-in-law has been in Silverways for four weeks but so far we are extremely pleased. The staff and manager are extremely helpful and friendly to both residents and visitors. There are numerous staff on duty and a lot of activities which residents are encouraged to join in.
Her room is good and
the only reason we scored satisfactory is it is one of the smaller rooms. However, she has been provided with an 'air mattress' and it is very clean.

My dad has been very well looked after and treated with care, kindness and dignity. The staff are very patient with him and encourage him to join in activities. Dad loves the food at Silverways, and nothing is too much trouble. His room is comfortable with a nice outlook, and the home is very clean.
The gardens are well-maintained, and the residents can sit outside. All of Dad's needs have been well managed, and I am extremely grateful to all of the staff.

Excellent managerial team supported by excellent care staff.
Warm and friendly environment, supporting residents to enjoy life lots of attention and activities, such as quizzes, bingo playing board games outings.
Mum has improved both physically and cognitively and enjoys the company of the other
residents.
Excellent food choice, each day different menu to choose from.

My father has settled very well and the staff have been outstanding with him. Always a friendly welcome from the receptionist, care team, activities lady and managers.
The home is spacious and airy and feels very welcoming.
My father loves the food!

I can fully recommend Silverways Nursing Home for its efficient care, very friendly staff, cleanliness, good food and most importantly, a feeling of being in safe and caring hands at a time of vulnerability. There is a 'family' feel. This is my second visit for respite care and there is no doubt I would

My mum has been a resident at Avondene since February 2023. From day one the care and attention she has had has been exceptional. She is really happy living there and is very comfortable in her room, which has a sunny outlook and view. Since my mum has been there she has made good friends with all of
the staff and other residents. All of her family are very pleased with the care she is getting from a very professional and caring team.

Avondene was home for my mother for nearly six years. During her time at Avondene she was cared and looked after extremely well. My mother couldn't have wished for a better place to have spent her last years. The staff were and are so caring and attentive. Mum made so many friendships with the wonderful
