Fairlawns provided excellent care for my mother for 8 years. All staff were caring with a very understanding approach in challenging circumstances. Many thanks to the management and the senior carers on the second floor. We are very grateful that she recieved dignified end of life care in a comforting setting. Would highly recommend to other families,
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review. It was a privilege to care for your mother over the years, and we're grateful you trusted us to support her and your family. Your words mean a great deal to our team, especially our management and second-floor carers. We wish you and your family all the very best.
Fairlawn is well situated in Ferndown with beautiful gardens and amenities. My father passed just recently and I am just very grateful for the effort put in by all the staff to make this difficult time more comfortable for us sons and wives who spent time with him in his last hours. Many thanks and appreciation for looking after Dad at Fairlawn.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We are deeply sorry for your loss. It means so much to know that our team was able to provide comfort and support to your father and your family during such a difficult time. Your appreciation will be shared with all our staff.
The staff have all been professional and very helpful while we both navigate this change. I feel confident mum is being looked after and is being kept safe.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear your mum has settled in well at Fairlawn and that her room feels comfortable and homely for her.
Your kind words about our team mean a lot, and we're glad we've been able to support you both through this transition while providing safe and professional care for your mum.
Fairlawn has been my mother-in-law's home for nearly 2 years. She was adamant she would only go into Fairlawn and was extremely happy and very well-cared for! The manager and her team are amazing, so friendly, welcoming, supportive and very professional. The end of life care she received was exceptional, she was treated with dignity, respect, love and care. We are so thankful to everyone at Fairlawn!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a great deal to our whole team that your mother-in-law felt happy and well cared for at Fairlawn. We're truly honoured to have supported her and your family, and we're grateful for your trust in us during such an important time. Thank you once again, it means a lot.
I was very impressed with Fairlawn when looking for a permanent care home for my husband. There was a room available, and he was quickly admitted. The process was handled very well and I am delighted with his care so far. He has only been there nine days, but the admin team and the carers are all lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. My husband is a wanderer, but the home is very secure and there are staff on duty at night, so I know he is safe and cared for 24/7. Fairlawn is immaculately clean, there are plenty of activities and the food is plentiful and excellent. I would definitely recommend Fairlawn.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It's lovely to read that you feel that nothing is too much trouble and that you would definitely recommend Fairlawn. I will share your kind words with the team as I know it will mean a lot to everyone, thank you again.

This was the first time they had been in separate rooms. The care home staff were great in making sure they met for breakfast each morning and spent as much time together as they wanted.
Unfortunately one parent became very unwell and then Palliative and the care was fantastic.
My family and I visited daily and nothing was too much for them. They even fed me at dinner time.
Thank you so much to all the staff.
Also the activities on offer are amazing. Such a variety and even tailor made to individuals.
Special mention to Tina, Donna.and Hazel
Thank you.

A wonderful home offering love, care and compassion not just to the residents but also their families at what is an emotional time. The management team is exceptional.
Thank you so much for your review. Your kind words mean a lot. We are so pleased that you think our home is wonderful and offers love, care and compassion. The team will be so grateful for your review, so thank you again, it means a lot.
On balance, this care home is the best I've seen (out of many). One thing that Mum is always wearing her own clothes, which sounds silly, but is not the case in some homes. Most ot the staff are very good and kind, they are very good at informing me of any illness/accidents, ie falls. I'm a very regular visitor, so have seen the continuity of care over 2 years.
Many thanks for your review, I will be sure to share your kind words with the team, I know they will appreciate them.
I did not want my client to have to go into residential care, but when the time came and I approached Fairlawn, the experience was a very positive one. From first contact to several weeks into residential care, the whole experience has been smooth, calm, easy and very reassuring. My client is happy at Fairlawn and thriving. His needs are being met very well, and he obviously feels safe and happy, as well as comfortable and well cared for. I would highly recommend Fairlawn.
My husband has been in Fairlawn since the middle of July 2025, and so far, I am most impressed by the admin staff, carers and domestic staff. Management, gardeners and chef. We celebrated our 67th Wedding Anniversary on the 9th August 2025, and the staff gave us a wonderful celebration day lunch. Personally, all staff celebrated with us, plus the chef served our lunch himself, full marks all round.
We found the care home and their superb staff to be very caring, compassionate and always polite. Although my mum was only in the home for a short period time, the staff made every effort to make her stay a pleasant one.
Thank you so much for your review, it's great to read that your mum had a pleasant stay with us. The team will be so pleased to hear that you consider them to be very caring, compassionate and polite - it means a lot, so thank you again.
Fantastic food & drinks.
Well organised, great atmosphere.

Mum joined in and sang.
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased you and your mum enjoyed the VE Day garden party.
The care staff, management, and all departments efficient, informative and caring.
Thank you for your 5* review - will share this feedback with the team.
It was my stepfathers 100th birthday and the effort put in by all the staff we saw at the home was above and beyond our expectations. The amount of food and quality of the food was the biggest shock!!! The birthday cake the chef had done was actually the best I had tasted....you could tell a lot of effort and care had gone into it. Anything we wanted the staff were only too happy to assist. A very memorable 100th and we are very grateful to all at Fairlawn.
Thank you for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear your stepfather's 100th was so special. Our team takes great pride in making every celebration memorable. We will share this with the team.
We visited a relative at the home on Monday, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They arranged to move our relative from her room to the lounge so that we could all be together as the room felt crowded with 3. The staff member who moved her did so with care, talking to her all the time. The lounge was clean and tidy and the chairs very comfortable. Each time I have visited, I have found my relative to be well cared for, and she seems very happy there.
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We're so pleased to hear that your visits have been positive and that your relative is happy and well cared for. Our team truly appreciates your kind words!
My mother has only been at Fairlawn for two months and struggled to get used to new people and things. However, I find that she is becoming much more relaxed and happy in her new surroundings. As a family we are very happy with her care, cleanliness and safety are second to none, only hope that she continues to enjoy her new home.
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased your mother has started to feel relaxed and happy in her new surroundings. We will share this lovely feedback with the team.
My aunt has been in Fairlawn with dementia for over 2 years and we have been very impressed with the care given in every aspect. Good communication with family, regular updates and social events. Excellent catering. We are so reassured that my aunt is safe, comfortable and cared for. Would highly recommend Fairlawn to anyone seeking a caring quality residential home.
Thank you so much for such a positive review and recommendation. The team at Fairlawn will be delighted!
Have been so happy with the choice of care home we made for my mum. She has been a resident since March 2024 and really loves it here and feels well cared for. The staff are all absolutely fantastic and do a great job, from the management, the carers, the housekeepers and even the maintenance man! The rooms are lovely and clean and the food is (mostly) very good. I would be happy to recommend Fairlawn to anybody needing care.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. We are so glad that Mum is settled and happy. The team will be delighted with this feedback and I will ensure it is shared to all.
Most of the staff are very friendly and caring. The food is mostly good. Activities have have improved over the last 2 or 3 months. The lounges, coffee areas, bedrooms and toilets are exceptionally clean.
Thank you for your review, we will share this feedback with the team.
