My mother was a resident at The Malthouse for 10 months following a fracture to her hip.
The staff in the home were great when she found it difficult to settle.
They treated her with the utmost respect.
For the month before she died she was very poorly.
The care she had at this time was brilliant.
Nothing
was too much trouble.
Was very touched when, following her death, many of the staff took the time to visit her room to say goodbye.
Need I say more.

I find it very hard to understand anything but all is explained fully so I have no worry. The food is tremendous and wholesome. I have already suggested aged friends to join me in a warm atmosphere. Nothing at all is ever refused - hunger, health, company - start rating!

The Malthouse cared for my mother with sensitivity, kindness and warmth. She was deeply shocked after her fall and they took her at her own pace. She has some medical needs and these were not always observed as I would have wished but overall I could not have wished for a more caring and attentive place

My mother was there for 3 years and was initially reluctant to go into a home, but was completely won over. The Malthouse took great care to treat her as an individual, consult her and respect her wishes, however inconvenient, so she could live as she wanted to live if at home. Despite worsening dementia,
the care was always very sympathetic and understanding. Great trouble was taken to ensure she had nice meals, even if her hours were anti-social. The management and staff were so kind and friendly, as well as very professional with high standards. We were so grateful for their attentiveness and gentle care in her last weeks and she died peacefully, as she would have wished, surrounded by friendly and familiar faces. We were extremely pleased to have chosen The Malthouse, a great ethos of putting the resident at the centre of their care and being flexible in order to achieve this.

We cannot overstate how grateful we were for the kindness and consideration shown to our mother and ourselves at a very difficult time. The staff were all excellent, kind and caring. Our mother was made to feel welcome and secure she was treated with respect and dignity. We were able to come and go
as we wanted and never felt that we weren't welcome. The food was good and plentiful and mum's favourite (chocolate mint chip ice cream) was bought in especially for her. We are very grateful to The Malthouse.

In the short time my mum stayed at The Malthouse she was treated with the utmost care, respect and dignity. I have nothing but praise for all of the staff who looked after her and me during my visits.

I have always found the home to be very clean, tidy and welcoming. All the staff from managers down to cleaners etc have been kind, pleasant and helpful with nothing being too much trouble.
My friend was always full of praise for the meals you served. This was praise indeed because she had always been
a very good cook and was quick to find fault if meals were not to her standard.

Frist class. Immediate positive response to our desperate phone call seeking immediate short term stay (3-weeks in the end) to follow operation in the hospital for a broken hip. At all times, the resident was treated well and all her wishes met and respected. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
All staff were genuinely friendly and kind and were easy to deal with. We could not have wanted anything more. The rooms were spacious and pleasant; food good and care superb.

Very friendly atmosphere with very helpful caring staff with very good care to residents and visitors. Very good entertainment, particularly the flower arranging. Very good food and attractive dining rooms. I do feel the washing area could do with updating from the bedroom.

flowers around and inside. Excellent garden party I had the pleasure of joining in with for two years.

This care home was very caring and kind. We always felt that our dad was in the best place for him at this time of his life. They did their best to not let the patients feel institutionalised. He was well looked after, well fed, kept clean etc.
We could not have asked for more. He died there last week
and they were sensitive about this matter.
