Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure getting to know you both.

Such a lovely home for your loved ones. My mother was there for two weeks. She was very poorly on arrival from Hospital. As a family we wanted mum to have the care that was impossible to have at home. Unfortunately she passed away on the 21st October. I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of my family and her husband to the manager and her wonderful team who supported mum so well. We could not wish for a better place for our loved ones to stay and mum was so happy there having laughs and fun with her carers. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your review Myra and your kind words. It was so lovely getting to know you and your mother, and we do hope you feel welcome to pop into The Malthouse anytime you are near.

They treated her with the utmost respect.
For the month before she died she was very poorly.
The care she had at this time was brilliant.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Was very touched when, following her death, many of the staff took the time to visit her room to say goodbye.
Need I say more.
Thank you for your comments, your mother is sadly missed at our home.
I cannot rate The Malthouse highly enough. Very much a home from home with added benefits. All the staff are very friendly and professional and carry out their tasks with humour and compassion. Thank you one and all!

I find it very hard to understand anything but all is explained fully so I have no worry. The food is tremendous and wholesome. I have already suggested aged friends to join me in a warm atmosphere. Nothing at all is ever refused - hunger, health, company - start rating!

Thank you for your response. Following our telephone conversation with you regarding your concerns around some medical needs not always being observed as you wished, I would like to clarify this. Your mother has full mental capacity and was fully able to make her own choices with regards to her diet when staying with us. Although we were able to encourage and advise her, we were not in a position to take away her right to choose. I am very happy that you are both looking forward to a return visit to us, and look forward to that.

My mother was there for 3 years and was initially reluctant to go into a home, but was completely won over. The Malthouse took great care to treat her as an individual, consult her and respect her wishes, however inconvenient, so she could live as she wanted to live if at home. Despite worsening dementia, the care was always very sympathetic and understanding. Great trouble was taken to ensure she had nice meals, even if her hours were anti-social. The management and staff were so kind and friendly, as well as very professional with high standards. We were so grateful for their attentiveness and gentle care in her last weeks and she died peacefully, as she would have wished, surrounded by friendly and familiar faces. We were extremely pleased to have chosen The Malthouse, a great ethos of putting the resident at the centre of their care and being flexible in order to achieve this.
Thank you so much for your comments. We really did enjoy getting to know your mother.

We cannot overstate how grateful we were for the kindness and consideration shown to our mother and ourselves at a very difficult time. The staff were all excellent, kind and caring. Our mother was made to feel welcome and secure she was treated with respect and dignity. We were able to come and go as we wanted and never felt that we weren't welcome. The food was good and plentiful and mum's favourite (chocolate mint chip ice cream) was bought in especially for her. We are very grateful to The Malthouse.

A lovely place - homely, comfortable and with a great ambience. My husband enjoys his "day out" every week and all the staff and fellow residents are always kind, considerate and helpful.

My friend was always full of praise for the meals you served. This was praise indeed because she had always been a very good cook and was quick to find fault if meals were not to her standard.
Many thanks for your review. We really appreciate all feedback regarding the services and staff at The Malthouse.
