Branksome Heights Nursing Home

It was time for Mum to have some extra support and we chose Branksome Heights after viewing several homes locally. We really like the atmosphere - more like a small hotel than a care home and the thought that has been put into both individual rooms as well as shared areas. We have been able to help Mum customise her room with pictures and some furniture to make it feel as much like her own home as possible. She is well looked after and loves the staff and the food in particular. I love the respect that the team show Mum, allowing her to retain as much of her independence as possible. Everyone - the reception team, the carers and the leadership team - have made us all feel very welcome. We're all happy that we chose here for Mum's next chapter.

My mother was in Branksome Heights for 7 months when she died, my whole experience of this home was one of professionalism, care, compassion and dignity. I would thoroughly recommend this home, and I am indebted to the staff there for their care of both my mother and us as a grieving family.

Mum was very independent before she went to Branksome Heights. After a health scare, it was decided she needed more care. She soon adapted to the change and now realises it was the best decision for her. The staff are very friendly and helpful and very approachable. Although she doesn't interact much, she is very happy and I know she is very well looked after.

My mother has been in Branksome Heights since August 2021. It is, by far, the best care home in the area, chosen by my brother and we couldn’t be happier with the care and attention she has been given. Her room is beautiful and always clean and tidy. She is cared for by the staff with the utmost respect and dignity and is always dressed well despite her condition. The reception staff always have a smile and greet you very nicely and you are introduced to everyone. There are always tea and cakes available if you are visiting. The menu is varied and of excellent quality, well done to the chefs. The daily activities are well-organised and varied. The manager is excellent in responding quickly to any questions and has arranged video calls for me to stay in contact with my mum as I’m overseas. Couldn’t wish for better care.

I recommend this home to all my friends who may come here one day.

Mum has been at Branksome Heights for a number of years with Alzheimer’s. She is very well looked after by a professional, kind, helpful team. Mum receives all the care she needs and is encouraged to join in with the many and varied activities put on by the co-ordinating staff. The food is good and plentiful. On my visits, I am always welcomed and given a detailed report of Mum. I would highly recommend Branksome Heights to you.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Branksome Heights for over two years and she is very happy and comfortable there. My wife and I are grateful for the professional and friendly care given to her and all the other residents.

The manager of the home is very approachable and has monthly 'drop-in' meetings with relatives if required. Monthly coffee mornings are also held for residents' relatives to attend if they so wish. I feel very lucky to have my mother living at Branksome Heights and cannot recommend it highly enough.

From our first contact with Branksome Heights, through our intro visit, through admission in summer 2023 onwards, the staff at this care home have been great. They treat everyone with respect and dignity, have thoroughly managed my mother-in-law's medical liaisons etc. Each time we visit, we walk away confident she is having great care, by a great team in a very nice home. Fully recommended.

We are totally confident in Mum’s care, including daily engaging activities, and a high standard of catering. All staff are extremely pleasant and have formed positive relationships with Mum and ourselves. This has culminated in allowing us to live our retirement confident that all of Mum’s needs are being fulfilled.

I find all the members of staff to be friendly, responsive and accommodating and feel blessed to have my mother so well cared for.
