My father-in-law entered Branksome heights two years ago next March, he is extremely happy and content, gets on very well with all the staff, and although profoundly deaf, he enjoys being around all the other residents and staff. He thoroughly enjoys the food, and although he does not join in much
with the daily (and very varied) activities, he is always in the background as he just enjoys being around people. I cannot recommend this care home enough, and have mentioned it to numerous friends who are looking for somewhere for their loved ones.

I would change nothing. My nana that's 92 years of age came to Branksome Heights Care Home to have a 3-week break from her care home in Manchester (a very long drive). From the moment we arrived, I didn't stop smiling for my nana and how she was treated and the home itself is absolutely charming, cosy
and home-like. All the staff are very friendly and caring, yet efficient and professional. I am absolutely thrilled and so is my nana, that thrilled she has decided not to go home to Manchester and move into Branksome Heights. My nana is a different woman she's bright, alive, a new zest for life. She says she feels warm and safe and she would like to stay! This place is fantastic, from the decor, to the meals, to the garden area, to the entertainment. I want to say a massive thank you to all the team and look forward to our future together. My father asked to enter into a care home, and my wife and I visited quite a few, and we were looking for a place that we ourselves would be happy to live, and Branksome Heights ticked every box. The staff are all so lovely and always willing to assist in any way; he has settled in very well and enjoys
every aspect of the care provided. He has put on weight since entering and thoroughly enjoys the food. We are extremely pleased with our choice of Branksome Heights to look after my Dad. The residents are treated like family by all the staff, the building and rooms are spotless, and the decor is lovely. The activities for the residents are brilliant, and we know if we did have any questions, that we can always contact the staff anytime. We cannot recommend Branksome Heights enough and know that he is being cared for by brilliant staff.

My mother has been in Bransome Heights since December 2020. She was unsettled for a while but since being moved to a different floor she seems/looks happier. I can't fault the staff they would bend over backwards to help! Lovely clean modern home. Could do with a little more communication between staff
etc. but overall extremely pleased mum is happy and settled in a lovely home.

During this dreadful period of COVID, the staff has done their utmost to facilitate visits. Unfortunately, as she was admitted during this period, we have not experienced all the home has to offer. However, my mother has a lovely room and seems content with her new life. It is very convenient to my

The home is well run and all the staff are professional, yet empathetic to the residents and families needs. Since mum was homed at Branksome Heights she settled fairly quickly and seems content there. All the staff I have been in contact with treat mum with respect while making sure she is happy.

We cannot fault Branksome Heights and would recommend their services. Contacts are always professional, helpful and friendly. It is well designed, dementia friendly, clean and well maintained. The staff are caring, and have established a relationship with my father on which he depends and we greatly
appreciate the evidence of positive care that we see when we visit. This review is submitted in extraordinary times. Branksome Heights have been excellent in being Covid-19 free. Lockdown was difficult when we were not allowed to visit. My father had only been a resident for three weeks so we did not have the chance to get to know his new home. We were very grateful when the weekly 30-minute visits were arranged. Communication with Branksome Heights is very good. Although the experience is different from what we anticipated pre-Covid-19, Branksome Heights have responded well to the difficult situation. We value the care they provide and would recommend as a care provider based on our experience.

My mum joined the care home after I had visited about 15 others locally. I was immediately impressed by feel in the home and the fact that the home manager was able to understand our situation. Mum joined after being discharged from the hospital. The staff has really tried to get to know her and to
meet her needs. She has had a lot of 1:1 attention.

I feel that dad has been kept safe during the recent Covid crisis. It has been great to be able to see him again and I think this has greatly helped his mental health. Dad does not like to join in the activities and this has isolated him a bit from us. It has been good to visit in his room which is

Big mistake moving my 86-year-old father to Branksome Heights. Home Deputy Manager talks the home 'up' but once social distancing visits started, my mother and I witnessed the truth. We battled to get my father out of this care home due to the terrible treatment and raised a five-page complaint letter
to head office plus three-page complaint following the state my father was sent home to us in. I gave Kingsley Healthcare every opportunity to address but the response was to completely twist the truth, misquote me (which I can prove in writing) and brush under the carpet serious issues and totally disregard an extremely severe matter concerning my father and another resident. My father had a fall in the home, not reported to his next of kin. He was tugged by a carer resulting in a shoulder injury, three requests from my 85-year-old mother for him to be seen by a GP, ignored, just topical pain-killer applied. Left in agony for over three months. Dressed in other resident's clothes, poor hygiene. Care Home manager misleading over my father's care needs.

We are sorry that this family feels deeply aggrieved in relation to the care received by a former resident of the care home. We have responded in detail to the complaints made by the family, having carried out a thorough investigation into all the allegations made.
A complaint had also been referred to safeguarding and no further action was deemed necessary. The regulators were also aware. In addition, our team have endeavoured to support the family.
However we have identified some issues as regards levels of communication between the care home and the family, and between staff team members at the home, which will be subject to further training and development as part of the process of continuous review and improvement of our standards of care.
For the avoidance of any doubt, however, we deny the allegations made relating to the safeguarding and wellbeing of the resident concerned, or that the family has ever been misled by our staff.

I visited my mother at her care home yesterday. The staff were welcoming and polite. I sat in the garden with my mother. The deputy manager brought us out drinks, readily answered any questions I had. His rapport with my mum was delightful. My mum looked very well cared for, very clean and was very
happy. Obviously, a very professional, caring and lovely team looking after my lovely mum. Thank you.

Mum was a resident at Branksome Heights from October 2019 to February 2020 when she passed away. We chose Branksome Heights after looking at more than 20 homes in the area. We were very pleased with the care Mum received. They made a real fuss of her when it was her 100th Birthday.

My grandma has been a resident at Branksome Heights for about three months. When I have been to visit; they always welcome me with a great atmosphere. She has socialised with other residents, and the whole experience transitioning her from her own home into care has now put my family’s mind at rest;
knowing she is in a care home which is of the highest standard and quality we could want.

My partner of over 35 years had to be placed in a home as an emergency, having three times unsuccessfully tried to escape from homes in the area. Social Service found the place in Branksome Heights - I knew nothing of this home, but the manager and other staff welcomed us despite it being a Sunday.
Since then he has been difficult to settle, but the staff have shown unstinting care, keeping in touch with all concerned.

My elderly friend has been a resident of Branksome Heights for almost 2 years. The staff are wonderful, so kind and helpful. My friend likes them all. He enjoys the food, there are 2 choices each day for lunch and a good breakfast. The home is very nicely decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. I

I bring with me 37 years of nursing experience, the last 18 of which have been in the Nursing Home sector, with the last 10 years as Clinical Lead. I have previously worked as a Ward Sister in a local Private Hospital in Women’s Health and as a Breast Care Advisor, helping patients from diagnosis to follow up.


I am very happy to have joined such a fantastic team as Clinical Lead of Nursing, and look forward to developing this new, and extremely valuable additional level of care to the home to compliment the already successful Dementia and Residential care.

I was delighted to join the team at Branksome Heights in July 2023 following studies for my Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity. Whilst studying I worked as an Administrator at the bank with the NHS. Everyone at Branksome Heights has been so welcoming and supportive, including the lovely residents. I started working in Hospitality/Reception and was delighted to be promoted to the role of Home Administrator. The Home is very beautiful with a warm friendly atmosphere and a special place to work. I am married with one small son, and in fact, my husband also works here at Branksome Heights as a Senior Night Support Worker. We both really enjoy working for Kingsley Healthcare and our work fits in so well with our family time too.

Branksome Heights is only a short walk from my home and is in such a lovely area surrounded as it is by woods, and parks and close to the sea. It is a joy to see residents’ families coming along to take their loved ones for local trips out and for walks to Coy Pond and through the Chinese to the seafront. I enjoy being creative and love producing menu designs, writing our newsletters, and sometimes the occasional poem
